I think H saying sorry would be a good start - but look how long it took the D&DoE to be rehabilitated.
I hope the MIGS are not just reading the various articles about H's popularity but the comments, and advising KC. My impression is the RF is less popular than under HLMTQ , and bringing H back would be a fatal mistake because he and his wife scrape above AM in popularity. Having an hour and a half tea to meeting your grandchildren doesn't = Darling boy we'll make sure you get notice for when you are required on the balcony.
KC has a fine line to tread here. H's last two statements after his court cases are egregious IMHO and an embarrassment to KC. I can still see him wanting to see his son very very privately. Maybe I'm an old softy. But I do think he needs to keep H far removed from any actual WRF business. And not should he pressurise his elder son to reconcile. That's for W to decide.

ETA - further to being an old softy - I hope they don't divorce and they are actually happy together. Time will tell.

Starryfifty · 13/07/2026 16:28

PW and PC are very popular, from what I can see in Ireland anyway. KC was always polarising and his handling of AMW was poor IMO. It's clearly obvious HAM want a role for them and kids in RF. As delusional and stupid as they both are, they cannot continue with projects in US. They are a laughing stock

Why are they giving this knob positive press ???

To rile up the readers and get swathes of negative press?
To show the judge who is deciding on who should pay court costs that they are giving him a fair press so they should get the full amount they spent back from the claimants?
To wind Harry because he never actually said that but he can’t do another court case as a) he can’t afford more lawyers bills and b) no one actually sues for fake positive press?

I think it will be interesting to see over the next few weeks just what snippets are leaked/spun about the meeting.

We already have reporters saying that it had started to be leaked pre-meeting (when Harry was at the Invictus engagement) that something was happening: Harry was very happy and there were rumours about Highgrove.

In this article, we have Harry is 'buoyed, very happy and really energised' after the meeting.
We also have a royal source responded that 'blood is blood' when asked about the decision to meet.
'Every journey of a thousand miles begins with one footstep,' the source added.

Note that it doesn't say 'a palace source' or a source close to the King, as you might expect in the context.

Gotback · 13/07/2026 16:54

A thought: a month or so ago M was "musing delightfully" about who, in their family, liked which of the As Heifer jam spreads. She said H liked blah, Archie liked blah blah & LIL (not Lily) prefers blahdy blah.

I bet a massive cheese hat she's going to start referring to the girl as Lil Diana. As in Little Diana.

HAM will leak. I read somewhere it was an hour meeting (I think Tom Sykes) but I could be wrong. Meg remarkably quiet 😳 but I bet H will leak with James corden

As if anyone in palace pr would come out with this sort of psycho-pish.

We all know where that little nugget of therapy speak came from…..

Crikey, having seen how Harry was pre meeting with Alison Hammond, I can’t imagine what a post meeting ‘really energised’ Harry would look like!

If the Dukedom is removed would that mean that a divorced Meghan would have no title ?

Yes! None at all! , which is why she needs to tread carefully! If a divorce is not amicable all Harry needs to do is give up his duke title and poof! , she doesn’t own it in her own right and cannot hold it independently from him, or course Harry would continue as prince Harry!

He will never surrender his title either. Why are RG allowing them to remain in Royal website? Never mind keeping the titles 🤔

I regretfully don't think William would have any grounds to take legal action as Diana was a public figure and there are many programmes available already.
And the media reaction would be harmful to William.
Better to bare it outwardly with complete silence.

Charles Spencer will definitely be against it but there's nothing he could do either.

I’m sure I read somewhere that if William denies permission for use of any private pictures or videos that feature him then they can’t be used , which means that Harry would only be able to use pictures without him or ones already in the public domain.

That might suit him and his supporters as they like to portray Harry as the only one who lost his mother .

Hard agree! There's NFW anyone in the RF or MIGS would use that kind of therapy speak language

Ohpleeeease · 13/07/2026 17:37

À propos of nothing in particular, I’ve noticed The Range are selling Lilibet cots for £155, and a Lilibet table lamp (under the Wilko brand) for £9.99. HMTLQ would be having conniptions.

True! But Harry doesn’t strike me as someone who has kept hold of these things! And as the younger child there is probably not many unseen pictures that don’t feature William too! 😁

I think you could be right there.

PH was certainly exhibiting some very ‘excitable’ behaviour, such that you wouldn’t expect to see in a middle aged man who was in possession of all his faculties. 🤷‍♀️

Why are they giving this knob positive press ???

While their print side and main reporters still do investigative journalism, their celebrity digital feed is run for ad revenue. Their latest financial accounts prove the old high-volume model is dying digital ad revenue plummeted 15% because Google's AI is destroying web traffic as people get information from their instead of visting the site. I only know this because of a talk I was at recently regarding AI and its impacts across various industries.

Because of this, they have to follow what their real-time data tells them to generate the most money. At the end of the day, they don't care if a celebrity story is positive or negative. If the algorithms show a topic is generating clicks, the newsroom will instantly spin out 5 to 10 articles on them in a single day to milk it for ad cash. If it doesn't get views, they drop it and you only see one. It’s a commercial business, and live traffic data dictates the volume and the angle

“WHAT??” - has to be said in Oprah’s voice.
A lot of that interview was rehearsed to an inch of it’s life annoyingly 🤦‍♀️

Nah, couldn't have been, Horses ... Oprah said that H&M had no idea what questions would be asked and she couldn't possibly have lied could she? Grin

BigWillyLittleTodger · 13/07/2026 18:11

It would be one in the eye for Harry if William produced his own documentary on the life of his mother, he would have access to the Palace archives that Harry could only dream of.

You can see the live traffic data in action as stories slip down the MailOnline pages. Harry doesn’t seem to have much sticking power, which I suppose suggests he generates less traffic than some of the others, especially if the story is positive.

So the main royal story at the moment is the Waleses at Wimbledon. Then comes one about C’s Wimbledon outfits, and one about Samuel Chatto (30th in LoS) getting engaged. Then comes the first one that mentions Harry, but it’s not particularly positive, just the inside take on how the Highgrove trip was handled, sneaking them in etc.

Then before the next H+M mention we have Beatrice and her DH wanting to keep ties with William, then where do socialites go on hols, then William leading the celebrations after the Norway win.

Then at last Meghan pops up, but alas not in a good way, the article is about how she is just as bad as Blake Lively. It’s next to one about the recent victory for free speech, which has a photo of Harry looking glum. The first positive story, which has the video of him humping Alison H, comes after one about how Harry could learn a thing or two from Edward’s approach to things, and one about the Duke of Rutland’s daughter having her suitcase stolen on a train. It does look like he is less interesting to Mail readers than the Duke of Rutland’s daughter’s suitcase, which is not a particularly good return for a supposedly triumphant few days. Stories about Harry do tend to slither down the page pretty rapidly I think.
