Very little, I suspect

It's already been said that the contents would be damaging to him, so I've no doubt the redactions will make it meaningless

More of his Royal privilege.

I do agree with you & I think there (as it seems at the moment H has not apologised one jot for the nonsense he spouted , for vast amounts of money ) about his father , his step mother , his brother , his SIL , his niece and his nephews , as well as the chaos he caused at the time of HLMTQ's death , and all the kerfuffle when the late DoE was very ill.

I agree that W may have to be polite and cordial at KC's funeral. And to be clear here I am not saying when that will be - to me KC seems in good spirits at the moment & no-one lives forever . But I think W will know that he cannot exclude his brother from KC's funeral. That would be a step too far. So H will get some some (albeit frosty ) cordiality and politeness then, but it may just be that's the last time. But at least once we will see some rather strained cordiality . I don't know , I'm not of that family.

I'm going to put a folding £10 note down ( which is a lot for me - I am not a betting woman ) that H&M are never going to be part of the WRF again.

And just to say , as a member of the general public , I'm disinclined to get over H&M's Netflix documentary where they implied the whole of the UK was racist with those stupid ENL whatever they were clips.Bugger off H - M was welcomed until she started with the loopiness.

KC's funeral will be a huge State event, and William will be the "host", as well as the new Monarch, so he won't have much if any time for social chit chat with the rellies. With loyal back up from people like Uncle Edward & Aunt Sophie, I don't think he'll need to say much more to Harry than "Sad about Pa, isn't it? But thanks for coming". Done.

Does she want them with her at all times? She has form for leaving them on the otherside of the world repeated for extended periods when only a few months old.

Her USP in America is that she has royal children - a British Prince and Princess - a few years absorbing max royal adjacency and upper class Britishness including the accent is time and money well spent to boost her brand / USP in the US. Currently it’s not translating with the barefoot Cali kiddos - that market is saturated - she needs to differentiate - so she needs to reinvent them for a brand refresh. It would only be for a year or two then she would whip them back to Cali and leave their decomposing disheveled Dad to be cared for by his family and friends in the UK. Saves her the bother.

She left him high and dry this week in his desperate very public hour of need. Why didn’t she support him. Why did she hide? This is her MO - we’ve seen her do it to best friends, colleagues, close family - when the shit hits the fan she scarpers and looks after no 1. This is what she will
continue to do.

Edited

Oh really? How many days are we actually talking about that she has been away from them? You sound like you’ve looked into the details, so I’d be interested to know the timeline.

Unfortunately H gets away with an awful lot. These Visa files will be heavily redacted and all glossed over. His comments regarding the judge were absolutely horrendous. Arse slapping people in public etc. He's bulletproof and will continue to get away with it

And the pill! , let’s not forget that!! , his similarities to his uncle grows.

I think Meg will fare very badly post divorce. H is a nasty shit. He'll destroy her. Full on interviews how he was treated badly by her etc. Poor vulnerable H only wanted to be loved blah blah

Hadn't thought of that but of course you are right. Plus he will get UK national press and she will have Closer or People or whatever shite like that.

Jacqueline Onassis did get 26 million from the estate of Ari Onassis.
Jackie was pretty comfortable by the time she got the settlement.
She already owned her apartment in NYC (which she bought in 1964] so didn’t need to buy anywhere.
She was worth over 100 million when she died 27 yrs later.
She had quite a lot of valuable art/objects d’art and jewellry.

She didn’t have security -she just got on with her life in New York. I would argue she was more famous than HAM.

As with The Duchess of Windsor and Princess Margaret there was a sale after her death. The auction raised nearly $35 million. Her 40th birthday present from Ari being the single most expensive item.
Ive been a tad obsessed with Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis since I was 16.
Ive got a copy of the auction catalogue.

What was the 40th birthday present, please?

desperatehazzer · 13/07/2026 11:26

The Sussexes have already dropped well down the news page. There's too much of other interest going on. Great Wimbledon coverage too of William and Catherine and children.

PotolKimchi · 13/07/2026 11:41

I think it is now widely expected that money is tight. Even the Sussex Squad doesn't dispute that any more. It's also clear that As Ever is sort of dead in the water. She barely mentions or promotes it any more. And the fall out of the court case hangs over them.

However, some of these accounts of H&M's kids coming to Lambrook and staying in the UK so she can divorce him sound a bit fantastical. Maybe Eton for Archie at 13, but also W&C's kids are quite a bit older aren't they any way? Charlotte is not a long way off secondary school herself. So they are unlikely to be going to school with their cousins.

What is true is that Meghan's options have dramatically narrowed since she left the Royal Family:

  • the podcasts were a flop.
  • the commercial venture As Ever is not a roaring success and she seems to have forgotten about it.
  • the documentary was a success but the Netflix and Spotify deals are essentially gone.
  • Archewell seems dead in the water as well.

But what should be most worrying for her is that her overall worth has dropped- see the poorly attended thing in Australia that she then ran away from to watch rugby. She's not an A list regular at the Met Gala or the Oscars. Without the 'Duchess of Sussex' title I would say that her prospects are worse than they were before she met Harry when she was doing well on Suits etc.

The obvious choice here would be to try and monetise Harry as the Royal, and have him doing Royal adjacent events, big up Invictus as that's all he has left, and for Meghan to be a side figure so that more failures or missteps don't result in derision and ruin his brand too. I would never advocate for a woman taking a back seat to a man obviously. But as a PR strategy they don't have a lot of options left. And for Harry to complain less, sue less, and generally appear less entitled maybe?!

The reality I suspect is that they will use the kids to do the whole 'don't punish the kids for any mistakes we have made- they deserve to know their family' angle. And if it fails use that as a stick to beat the RF with.

I’ve always heard Jacqueline Onassis was not well off after Ari but that her companion, who was a financier sorted, her out over time by investing what she had.

OvaHere · 13/07/2026 11:53

I think they made a mistake of confusing public interest in them as part of the royal machinery and them as individual people/personalities. It's an understandable mistake in a way as Diana is probably the one person who transcended that. She was a one off though and not the norm. As she died so prematurely it's also hard to say whether that public interest would have continued longer term.

Louis is only about a year older than Archie but I really can't see HAM sending either of the Hamlets (love the name) to the same schools.

I am sure and I hope they wouldn’t do this anyway unless they all moved back to UK. It seems like it would be hard to adapt. I also get the impression Archie is a sweet and sensitive little boy. I’m just extrapolating from what they’ve shared, of course.

I never thought of that but it makes absolute sense. He will either fall to pieces or go on the attack.
I also think it’s interesting that a story was put out there that the Highgrove meeting only happened because M got a message to KC that she was concerned about his mental health. She was so concerned she left him to do all his engagements alone, after years of being glued to him. This story can only have been leaked from M’s camp and for no good reason.

Interesting read but with PH, IMO he wanted a payout and to be kept in the public eye
