The more I think about it - the more I think H who is early middled aged really isn't acting like a responsible adult. "My father cut me off financially" - not understanding the Ravec appeal - his bizarre Spotify ideas - I'll bequest IG to Archie ( my paraphrase) . Writing to the Mayor of NY about security - bleating about an establishment stitch up to the BBC. I know he's not academically clever - there are receipts for that - but surely to goodness he has enough experience to know there are people worse off than him ( given his life of service ) and he has been briefed multiple times about the security which will be afforded to him. Which is more than he could expect , I think. I think he's either more dim or more unkind than I thought he was. My opinion , just from public announcements. I don't know.

I think he has deteriorated, perhaps he's the sort of person who needs the continuous robust management of the MIGS. Also, we know the long term impact of weed smoking - paranoia is a well known effect. I think his mental health isn't being managed at all.

Yes I believe so, also we have to take into account the effect his narcissistic wife has on his behaviour 🤷

BasiliskStare · 01/07/2026 17:46

@OctopusFriend - I'm really really disinclined to talk about people's MH over the internet. It's complex and only with serious treatment in many cases can it be managed. I don't know re H.

As a separate comment - yes - Cannabis and other drugs can induce paranoia / psychosis etc - I know this to my cost with a family member. But treated it can result in a calm happy life.

I don't know whether I'm more inclined to put H's shenanigans more down to dimness and entitlement.

Starryfifty · 01/07/2026 17:52

I think there's a lot wrong with the guy. Poor intellect, narcissistic, lacks empathy, for kick off. One thing I notice with both of them is, they cannot follow anything through. They have a very short attention span and seem to get bored very easily.

They have an almost psychopathic desire for constant attention, good or bad. It doesn't matter. He was managed exceptionally well by the MIGS. Unfortunately he was preyed on by his malignant narcissist of a wife who will ultimately destroy him. Regrettably, it won't end well for this guy and his children are in for a life of chaos

Ok, I'm not exactly diagnosing, but pointing out that these are not the behaviours of a well adjusted happy person with good MH.
Perhaps there is nothing wrong with him at all, although he's talked at length about the therapy he's had, which would indicate that he had had these kinds of problems.
He's been quite open about it, with the Therapy programme and The Me You Don't See. He's was filmed using grounding techniques.
Who knows.

those mushrooms ( beginning with A , that I have temporarily forgotten how to spell 😳)
are notorious for inducing psychosis!

Strong evidence of drug use and he has admitted it himself. Cannabis and depression are a lethal combination. I think cannabis the tip of the iceberg. He has been quite obviously off his face many times in public. One occasion springs to mind, he was meeting with bereaved parents who lost their parents. His behaviour was very erratic

Yes. Those mushrooms. Lethal for mental health. Is that when he was talking to a bin at Courtney cox house ???

I don’t think so! , I’m sure it was magic mushrooms in brownies at Courtney coxs house, but he did mention it when he was discussing treatments he found helpful either with Oprah or the therapist chap.

Yes. This was part of his "therapy", so he has been very open about MH problems. I believe that treatment id risky, as you say.

OctopusFriend · 01/07/2026 18:06

Yes, he took the "therapeutic" mushrooms, but at Courteney Cox's house he took recreational mushrooms. I think that's when he thought the bin was talking to him.

OctopusFriend · 01/07/2026 18:14

Ayahuasca was the drug, Jeff. He said it gave him relief from anxiety.

Sorry - I did not mean to say you were diagnosing. I think your post just prompted mine - so sorry if that across as such to you. It just sparked off my thought. Apologies 💐

No worries! 🐱
I do think he needs to get himself sorted and whatever treatment he's had, isn't great. I think the Ayahuasca is controversial?

Gabor mate diagnosed him with ADHD and depression after their livestream. When H was charging quite a hefty fee to view 🙄

Yes thankyou! I seem to have a black spot for spelling certain words! ( I can’t spell dr Sophie’s surname either! 😳) , I believe it’s steeped and taken as a tea!

Yes that was disgraceful. I admire her as an athlete but she’s arrogant and entitled.

She's a bad sport.

jeffgoldblum · 01/07/2026 18:36

Let’s be pretty honest here, by his own admission, Harry has been abusing his body with every drug he could get his hands on all while drinking heavily at the same time, since he was a young man !
It would be entirely surprising if he hadn’t messed himself up! 🤷‍♀️

That's right! It clearly didn't help.

So England through to the next round after a bit of a scare.

Let's face it, the country is only going to be interested in one Harry next week. And it's not the useless one whining about his sekurridee.

As ever, the Sussexes' timing is hilariously bad.

fantom · 01/07/2026 19:14

I increasingly think that both of them, but perhaps M in particular, get it wrong on purpose: to cause drama, chaos and talking points. I can't understand how they manage to mess things up so spectacularly and consistently, if it's not done deliberately.

I'm inclined to agree. It's so bad.

I've been coming to the same conclusion. I think she wants to cause maximum embarrassment to Harry's family and enjoys being a thorn in their side. I don't think she actually cares if their ventures succeed. She may think eventually they'll be bought off. I think thats what she wants and it will probably happen.
