Can’t see a new thread and am pretty sure there is still lots to discuss !

I am now wondering if there ever was a security review planned, Harry wrote to the Home Sec after he lost his case for a security review, did he just assume his request to the Home Sec was a done deal because he personally asked for it, then he annnounced to the media it was happening.

When you think about it logically, why would the Home office do exactly the opposite of the outcome of the court case, a case they had fought to prove, spent millions of taxpayer funds on and actually won. The judge in the case agreed with the Home Office that there was nothing illegal or unfair in their reasoning for not doing another review and the bespoke approach was correct.

I can’t’ think of any other explanation for the Home Office and RAVEC taking this long to do an ‘agreed’ review and supposedly kicking the can down the road for another day. It’s all very odd.

I get the impression that Harry expected (a) the King, and (b) senior politicians like Yvette Cooper, to intervene directly in the independent RAVEC process.

More fool them if they indicated to him that they would or could. The most they could ever ask for on Harry’s behalf would be that a fresh pair of eyes scrutinise the process and the data points used; but, as @Thedom says, a High Court judge (or two?) has done this already.

I don’t understand the ‘pause’ comment from the Sussex PR machine either. (Has anyone else said it?) These risk assessments are rolling processes, always. They are continuous, as information comes into the big machinery of state security and protection and is collated, sifted, analysed, and acted upon appropriately and proportionately according to statute and regulations. Where there have been failings (‘Spy Cops’) there are public debates, inquiries and consequences, as is expected in a democratic country with a constitutional monarchy.

Harry is finally coming across as the spoiled brat he is, not the social justice warrior he wants to be perceived as. And he’s taking people down with him whose privilege is also now being questioned.

Didn’t he announce / leak it was agreed after he lobbied the Home Sec personally. His sources have been leaking for months he has his security reinstated, just waiting for it to be rubber stamped.

Then we have this latest public fiasco with Harry now admitting the review didn’t happen, and that it’s ‘paused’.

He is such a loser.

What is? Being seen with JKR?

Because that is only going to upset the equivalent of the Sussex Squad.

I daresay Harry doesn’t want his previous affection for the controversial and under-fire charity ‘Mermaids’ to be scrutinised, so he needs to tread carefully here (as ever) and call off his metaphorical attack dogs.

Sentebale is suing Harry and another former trustee and the case is in the queue for a High Court date, I believe.

I complained to change.org about signing the petition to remove h from invinctus and got pathetic reply that probably my settings! I have signed a few and never had a problem. The drop of 600 signatures in under 30 mins will be unverified signatures!
They assure me my signature is added but I can't see it and doesn't come up on search and still haven't received confirmation email.
I am now even more suspicious as to what is going on, I find it hard to believe only 1200 have signed given the feeling towards the funding and the veterans just being in the small print.

That's Fox News, fox TV is different and depending on where you live in the US it might not even be owned by fox at all. For example, where I live the "fox 5" channel broadcasts their content, including the James Corden show, but is owned by another company entirely.

Having said that, James corden is a massive twat and I've never heard of anyone who actually likes him either here or back home. Even people who liked Gavin and Stacey dont like him. Exactly. The last comment made by the RF on the Sussexes, other than the Sandringham statement, was in King Charles' speech in 2022 when he wished them well in their life overseas.
