It interesting because the narrative has switched from Meghan being the one collapsing on the floor in tears, feeling suicidal etc to Harry 'spiralling'. Meanwhile she is skipping around the fields living her best life apparently. Except the last seven years have been the worst of her life.. 🥲

Or the best depending on which interview you watch - a couple of months apart (with Mindy Kaling on WLM - MM ‘living her best life - so happy’ or the interview in Australia -or was it Jamie Kern Lima - where it’s been the worst 7 years of her life - which is her children's whole childhoods.)

You also have to think about the Invictus participants. Some of these people lead incredibly difficult lives yet all they see is this clown bleating endlessly about the protection he and his family need in the UK. They must be sick to their back teeth of it.

It's largely for the participants' sake that I said they need to get rid of Harry, corblimeygvnr

Yes he puts on a good show knocking a ball around with them or whatever, but it's got beyond that, and since there's clearly no chance of him reining himself in it might be better for this to be given to someone else

Edited to add that the narrative changes according to the media's hunger for clickbait, @Rainingcatsandog, but I believe the bit about "the worst seven years of my life" came from Meghan herself and it didn't seem very wise to put on record something Archie may read one day, then realise that it just happened to coincide with his life

corblimeygvnr · 30/06/2026 11:05

@Puzzledandpissedoff it's always about them (H and M) isn't it ? This is a year before. I agree. It could potentially sour potential sponsors for the event. No one wants caught up in this train wreck.

The interesting and outing parts of the story here as screenshots!
can you see what is really angling for?

FWIW I was one who genuinely hoped with each new Invictus that this might be the one where they prioritised the vets, but I gave up that particular silliness a while ago

As for souring the sponsors, it's notable that Boeing have now gone, and with no obvious alternative waiting to sign up the comments about financial difficulties for the games may be well founded

How come that risk only applies to the UK then? Funny that.

elessar · 30/06/2026 11:19

It’s funny to me that Harry insists he needs the official risk assessment done because of the “inside information on threats” that his private team won’t have access to… but refuses to accept RAVEC’s position - when they review the risk each time he visits - that his risk level is not high enough to warrant police protection.

The man is blinded by hypocrisy and delusion.

jeffgoldblum · 30/06/2026 11:20

safe accommodation is only part of the issue, the “risk “ follows the person not the place .

what Harry is trying to spin here is obviously he and Meghan and the kids all need separate security to follow them from place to place.!

it is therefore difficult to understand how the proportionality of the current arrangements can credibly be maintained without that independent assessment.

what he’s basically saying here is ravec are wrong and he needs them overruled by another independent group ( more favourable to him no doubt!)
obviously he still doesn’t get it and is going to continue bleating on! 🙄

Bonus picture of the suns hard copy ( I pinched from elsewhere!)

Who are these friends? Why don't they name themselves? Also, Rushdie had numerous death threats ffs

That's why I said that, if Harry was allowed access to Ravec's security information, he'd blab it all over the place, @elessar

Worse, on current form he'd almost certainly lie about it, and perhaps even endanger others by dragging them into his ridiculous stories

Oh yes, absolutely he would!

Edited

She'll be insufferable if she ever discovers the opening page of Dickens' A Tale of Two Cities.

Harry meanwhile actually could benefit from an understanding of the underlying schema of Hard Times. 'For whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.'

Starryfifty · 30/06/2026 11:53

I think they demanded 24 hour armed security as they fully intended to "royal walkabouts" in the UK, kids included. H doesn't give a damn about security. It's all about the bells and whistles. I really hope he doesn't get this

I think you are right.

It’s awful to think about, all the carrying on being reported from H’s own side.

Being frequently exposed to this kind of parental drama during childhood really can lead to excessive wear and tear of people’s stress response systems, and that can lead to all kinds of issues later in life. And H knows this. Talk about the circle of strife. He didn’t leave the UK in order to find peace - he took all his wars and battles along with him, and he’s unpacking that suitcase now in front of his wife and kids.

I have no idea if M is winding him up or not, but I hope that someone like Doria is in charge round there, keeping control. H still has the Sentebale case against him to navigate, and that’s a major problem for him.

I reckon it's much like the "sobbing on the floor" story, i.e. codswallop. He probably shouted for a bit and kicked the dog. I really wouldn't read too much into the reports from his side.

Isn’t it wild that Harry can’t see how inappropriate it is for UK taxpayers to pay for 24/7 armed security that isn’t needed, for a private citizen going about his private business. The level of entitlement is really shocking. And comparing this to the security provided when there was an actual terrorist threat against Taylor Swift. (And thousands of concert goers.) Awful.

Not only a private citizen - but a non-taxpaying private citizen - demanding those who actually pay taxes pay for his 5* security while he hoards his money in murky Delaware tax dodging accounts.....

Lunde · 30/06/2026 12:07

Mylovelygreendress · 30/06/2026 09:55

I have never bought the whole Portugal thing and doubt if they are away .

More likely strategizing at Elton John's villa in France on PR strategies when the ANL verdict comes in!

That's really the worst part. Someone like him demanding taxpayers money, when he doesn't even live here, never mind work here. Saving his own lucre.
That's some entitlement.

Wasn't this one of the breaking points for the Met when they decamped to Canada? That they didn't just want security, they were demanding full security details separately for Harry, Meghan and Archie who were each in different countries?

He had a fatwa placed on him which - basically - meant the entire religion of Islam demanded he face the death penalty Can't get a bigger threat, really 😕

This has gone beyond entertainment now, how dare he compare himself to SR, how dare he use MY TAX MONEY to stroke his overgrown ego, particularly when he pays fuck all tax in this country himself. Harry, just fuck off, permanently.

This is what I don't understand about the fans who constantly criticise the RF - at least they're actually doing something for the UK! William pays tax and KC is one of the top 100 taxpayers in the UK!
Harry has contributed nothing for years.
