And to get back to the thread - it’s an incredible achievement. I hope the Royal
Marsden reaps the rewards.

Wow congrats Catherine! If you have energy for that, you have energy for working, right?

Do you feel better for that?

LaurieFairyCake · 28/06/2026 20:37

Well done her (yes she did it with a bodyguard and mountain rescue) but SHE did the work

She’s clearly worked hard to get back to full fitness after cancer so it’s a great achievement

BasilParsley · 28/06/2026 20:39

She did extraordinarily well and I salute her for her achievement. But please, we all know she didn't do it "solo". There would have been security personal along side the Mountain Rescue people who supported her...

derxa · 28/06/2026 20:39

Well done.

Yes but she did the challenge!

EmeraldRoulette · 28/06/2026 20:43

This is really great
I'm so pleased for her

Pedallleur · 28/06/2026 20:43

On here we got the 'she is frail after her treatment ' so now we know she is better her diary can be filled a bit more as opposed to Wimbledon/Ascot etc

Unless they were carrying her i don't see how thats relevant? She did the challenge

Recklessismymiddlename · 28/06/2026 20:46

Have donated. In awe. I couldn’t do it at her age never mind now.

APlateOfMixedFanciesAndANicePotOfTea · 28/06/2026 20:50

Well done Catherine! That is a tough challenge, and an amazing accomplishment for anyone to do. And as for being driven between the peaks by someone else - that's what most people do for safety reasons.

Ohpleeeease · 28/06/2026 20:51

The achievement is remarkable but so also are her words about why she did the challenge. Directed towards others who have faced cancer, I think they must be very powerful to those affected. No wonder William is so very proud of her.

A close relative of mine also did that challenge about 24 hours ahead of our Catherine. He certainly didn't do it 'solo'. He was with others and they formed a team...

JustAnotherWhinger · 28/06/2026 20:19

Sorry, I meant solo as opposed to the big groups that do three peaks as fundraisers.

Thats actually made me wonder if her usual police bodyguard did it with her or if she’d have had different ones for each peak

I would imagine she had members of the armed forces in supporting roles. Lovely for her. Seems a great thing to have been able to do.

straighttola · 28/06/2026 20:55

Good for her.

Maybe now she can get back to work? Also hopefully she’s donated a lot of her personal fortune to charity, rather than just going it to raise awareness.

I’m not sure why posters are taking her doing the challenge “solo” quite so literally and saying it’s not possible. If you read the BBC article it says she did it solo but that her family were waiting for her at the end. So presumably “solo” means without her family. Not “solo” as in completely alone

DirtyGertiefromno30 · 28/06/2026 20:58

What an amazing woman , we are so lucky to have her as our future Queen .

DidntLikeTheEnding · 28/06/2026 21:02

Imagine climbing Ben Nevis wearing that ridiculous cursed engagement ring! Although maybe she was hoping to lose it down a crevice...

measuretwicecutonce · 28/06/2026 21:05

I’d like to do this, can someone signpost me? Where do I get 24hr support, all the equipment and training support I need please? Oh and transport to and from so my family can come? Oh and the time off work for all the training and to do it. Oh and sometime to look after DC as DH works shifts so it’s tricky.

PatsFishTank · 28/06/2026 21:06

I'm currently recovering from cancer and have been off work on sick leave since last year.

I'm working hard increase my fitness levels and I'm taking part in a challenge to raise funds for a cancer charity in three months time but there's no way I could do the three peaks anytime soon.

All those saying she isn't doing enough are absolute twats. I sincerely hope you never have to face what I've gone through in the last year and no doubt Catherine has too.

She does work. You must have missed it.

We’ve all missed it blinking you would’ve as well

Apparently 30,000 people do it each year so you should be able to find all the information you need online……

The newspaper article implies otherwise... My close relative didn't do it with family.

straighttola · 28/06/2026 21:14

One must wonder how, if she can’t manage work yet, she has managed to get strong enough to do this?
