Given their almost manic clapbacks to every perceived slight I'm sure they know exactly where they stand in British polls, @BasiliskStare ... it's just that, as usual, it'll be everyone else's fault

And why the need for clapbacks anyway, when they're both on record as saying that they don't read commentary about themselves? Another lie perhaps?

Edited to add that it's wonderful news about Catherine's sterling effort - not least because it shows she's now fit enough to do it

Haha the engagement ring front and centre at the top of Ben Nevis will have gone down like a lead balloon in Montecito 😂
Compare and contrast to the photos of Meghan wafting a basket of veg wearing her blue ring.

I think that’s how the RF do “fuck you” without being able to be called out on it 😃.

What an unhinged level of spite that would take…
She can’t be mentally ok.

I don't think it would be getting them deliberately make it badly because no dress maker is going to risk that knowing that it's their reputation on the line.

I would wonder if it was just "forgotten" to add her to the bridesmaid names and so it was last minute. It could be accidentally give wrong measurements, only I can't imagine that was left to MM to pass on.

I think what's happened is that Harry has been told he has lost the ANL case. He's also seeing less money come in post Netflix/Spare/Spotify. Things are becoming increasingly financially challenging for him and the more difficult they become, the keener he is to try and heal the relationship with Charles. He knows this is the best chance of getting some financial support and reaffirming his links to royalty to get more commercial opportunities. He needs to try and have a visit including the kids as he thinks meeting the children will improve the Sussex brand and increase the chances of Charles helping £££ so he released the itinerary to try and push RAVEC into giving him what he wanted. It hasn't worked and he's spiralling.

Conjecture only, no inside knowledge, entertainment purposes only.

Despite everything, I’m not so cynical.

I think Harry genuinely wants a relationship with his father again - as a son - and genuinely wants his children to know his father - as a parent.

I think Harry genuinely wants his reputation in the U.K. restored.

I do believe he believes in service and duty albeit his version (someone doing all the work for him to avail of - see above re restoration of reputation).

I think he thinks that restoring a relationship with his father will lead to money coming his way again from his dad.

The direct linking of brand and reputation to Harry’s proximity to his family is, I think, Meghan’s “tugging on the heartstrings” idea/manipulation. He didn’t have a clue what he was talking about during Megxit when they talked about financial independence. I believe he left that all to her and she ran with it, telling him what she needed him to do for his part. I don’t think they discuss him being photographed with his dad = more $$$ from As Ever. Partly because that won’t happen, partly because Harry is too thick to get it - and that would be too sordid a betrayal even for him. It’s in another league to dogbowls and dissing your step mum. I think she’s being the supportive wife by telling him to focus on finding his dad again, while quietly doing the commercial stuff to profit off of that without telling him.

A pity that Harry doesn’t channel the energy he wastes bleating about his misfortunes into doing something like this.
What an amazing feat Catherine!

He used to - many years ago. 10-15 years ago he hiked on polar treks with wounded servicemen (the infamous frozen todger)

But now he has given up most activities in favour of lecturing the public from a podium in "keynote speeches" usually on the subject of himself

Harry has become the middle-aged man who gives speeches rather than participating.

But if Harry's motives are as genuine as you think, why all the leaking to the press? That would surely be the very last thing he should do if he really wants a family reconciliation.

He could easily come and go without anyone being any the wiser. So why make such a huge song and dance about this visit?

Pretty stupid of Bradby to blow up his longstanding relationship with William for sulky Harry.

Chris Ship won't get the time of day from William and Catherine after that podcast with Charlene White where he discussed George's security arrangements at school and whether George has BO.

Wait what on earth?

Starryfifty · 28/06/2026 20:18

I don't believe for one minute H believes in a life of service. If he wasn't desperate for cash and good PR, he wouldn't even consider reconciling with his father.

Yet she doesn’t want to find her dd again!
The limbless veterans Harry (and apparently Meghan) allegedly support while her legless dad (one leg, not drunk obvs) struggles on , not seeing his daughter, ever seeing his grandchildren and h ing never met his son in law.
How long should his sentence be for falling for a media trick?
l don’t know how anybody can take him seriously pretending to care while a man whose heart has been broken struggles on.
They are such hypocrites.
The more I think about his ‘service’ in Afghanistan I get irked too.
Was it a case of ‘My company is being sent there - what can I do to support that company without causing any danger to anyone else’ or was it ‘Granny! I want to go and be a soldier!. The SAS will have to protect me as I’m very important ‘.
Answers on a postcard to the usual address……

Honestly? I think Harry is paranoid and has lost (never had?) any sense of the real world. I suspect that in his world, things get said in such couched/hedged words that they take on their own meaning or understanding. I can imagine that things were said second/third/fourth hand that led his paranoid mind to believe that without 24/7 armed security his children would be in harm’s way, and that his father would (for example) ensure this could never happen within a wider conversation about security/ RAVEC. Which Harry read as “Pa will step in and tell RAVEC what it needs to do” but which Pa actually intended to mean they can stay with him and benefit from his security. Which of course Harry and Meghan would never want because (paranoid) they’d feel they’re being watched/ surveilled/ reported back on.

Harry has proven time and again that he never bothered to educate himself on how things happen within his own family business. He still hasn’t. He dies care about his status - it’s part of his reputation and how he is perceived by people he associates/deals with.

eta: so I believe that this leaking was indeed partly because he thought it was a done deal (RAVEC and security), partly because in his mind it would be difficult for RAVEC/Pa to say no if there were credible (!) reports it was forthcoming.

He's Diana's son. He's following her playbook to the letter. She was constantly briefing journalists.

If Harry is 'paranoid' about security why do he and his wife frequently visit countries without any special security arrangement? Leaving their children on another continent? They chose to put 14 flight hours and 19 time zones between themselves and their children on that daft Oz 'tour'.

He's not paranoid about security. He's just an emotionally and intellectually stunted boor who, as you say, knows sweet FA about the real world.

Because in those countries, private security can carry weapons. That's what this fuss boils down to. Harry could employ private security in the UK – and has, during his court cases – but he wants 24/7 armed police protection when MM and the kids are here, because only the police can lawfully carry guns. He would get police gunmen for the duration of any stay in a Royal residence, but he wants them for the entire trip – i.e. when he's at the IG launch, other charity stuff, doing private meetings or seeing family (presumably the Spencers). But of course the Govt are not going to sanction that, because the police are funded by taxpayers.

Rhaidimiddim · 28/06/2026 20:36

jeffgoldblum · 28/06/2026 19:02

Yes thats exactly it @Rhaidimiddim! , it would be very nice if the judge releases his verdict just as Harry arrives ( release the kraken !) and details exactly all the lies and pointless money wasting nonsense! But I fear that the reports it’s not until September could mean we are denied!!
and furthermore despite every ridiculous action somehow they always manage to wriggle out of it!!

It would be sweet if he said something that gave grounds for ANL to push a perjury investigation. That might stop the "will they come over for summer/ Christmas" stuff forever.

Because in those countries, private security can carry weapons.

Was he escorted by arms toting private security guards in Oz?

If so, who was paying for them?

And even if private security are allowed to carry weapons, they have no more rights than any other citizen so it's not at all the same as having armed police. I really don't think that is what Harry is bothered about. It also doesn't explain how happy he and his wife are to leave their children on another continent. That's not how people 'paranoid' about security behave.
