If they were so concerned about safety they would never have done that ridiculous walk on Bondi beach. Or M wouldn't have done that talk on a roundabout. They were happy with the security at those events but not with what they would get in a Royal Palace?! They are denying their children and incredible experience.

TheNinkyNonkyIsATardis · 28/06/2026 07:51

(not saying he'd have got security, but it's not what's happened here - they haven't had time to asses the threat to make that decision)

TheNinkyNonkyIsATardis · 28/06/2026 07:50

If the RAVEC review hasn't happened, then telling them last week was well outside the required 28 days notice.

I don't think the answer was "you can't have security". I think it was "you didn't give us the required notice to asses and plan protection". In Harry's head that's the same thing.

Or they simply don’t think the Sussexes need Met protection. Apart from KC and the Wales family , the other Royals manage to go out and about without a cavalcade and flashing lights .
B and E are sometimes photographed out and about usually at lunchtime , Edward is known to travel by Tube etc
This is down to H and M’s inflated view of their importance and H’s obsession with being the same as W.

Kirschcherries · 28/06/2026 08:20

Call me naive but I always assumed RAVEC had a team that continuously monitored all threats against not just the RF but current and former politicians, high profile people e.g. Salman Rushdie and would update security fairly quickly based on that. A good example is the police walking alongside Catherine & the children at Trooping the Colour.

Obviously they do have regular meetings and reviews but it’s about an organic response to changing threat levels. I think they do monitor threats to H & family, as they do with everyone.

The formal review H wants would not remove the 30 day notification requirement because that is about managing resources and being a good employer, giving employees notice their services are required.

H is actually being disrespectful to expect hard working people to upend their work life balance with minimal notice because he doesn’t want to plan ahead.

Reading the manipulative PR leaks we have had over the last week or so I keep wondering if the ANL judgement might be made public whilst H is visiting the UK.

I really feel for KC as he seems a lovely Grandpa and can imagine he wants to meet A & L.

Note: Why is it Prince Archie not Prince Archibald but Princess Lilibet rather than Princess Lily. Just like H is Harry not Henry, M & H said they would use Archie and Lily. In PR terms they are using Lilibet manipulatively.

Lolllllll! What a pair of dickheads 😂

The continuous leaks are just hilarious, every day! What on earth do they think they will achieve, I honestly don’t understand. It just proves that they still can’t be trusted and haven’t learned anything from what’s happened.

This bit made me laugh particularly hard… he’s so desperate to be seen as the “big guy” (and we must not forget the military bit… which is all party of the brand), that he actually has to tell people he’s big!

”Harry is a big guy, a former soldier and generally pretty robust when it comes to handling these incidents. It’s what impact such moments would have on the kids that everyone is most concerned about.”

Pity the KIDS! They’re always the excuse. The whole thing reeks of faux drama. As long as the leaks keep coming no one will want to see them and rightly so. They continue to
prove time and time that they can’t be trusted and it’s all a PR exercise to them.

if they truly cared about family and cared about securidee stop announcing your visits to the world, they’d come over quietly and get on with it then go back to where they came from.

Imagine what they’re telling those poor kids, and the delusions and fear they’re going to grow up with. It must be like some kind of grim, twisted fairytale where their mum is the beautiful princess and damsel in distress, their dad the handsome, string, brave and misunderstood prince with his tragic mother in the background like some kind of poisoned sleeping beauty…all cruelly forced out of their family by their evil uncle and the evil king and queen who live in castles in a land filled with danger where everyone wants to kill them. I think Harry actually believes this too, as does M. Those kids will be messed up forever.

The strong former soldier, who got pushed into a dog bowl by evil Prince Willie.

Guest385 · 28/06/2026 08:32

All the “noise” around this commercial trip is of their own making.
I suspect they haven’t been able to get the type of access they want to Pa and possibly Althrop too. No Netflix film crew hiding in the bushes ready to record an emotional back of head shot of the kids.

noonames · 28/06/2026 08:33

Evil Prince Willie who is an inch taller, ouch 😖

I’m sure I saw a piece previously that said they had given the required 28 days notice. I think what they heard last week is the response back from RAVEC saying thanks, we’ve assessed it and don’t believe any special protection is needed for the trip.

And Harry is throwing his toys out of the pram because he doesn’t want to believe he’s not that important.

As a side note I did also chuckle at the “Harry is a big man, former soldier, robust about these things” comment. Isn’t the “fixated” fan he’s so scared of an unarmed middle aged woman? Yet we’ve seen him bundled out of a courtroom by his team of security to get away from her. Hardly what I’d call a robust response.

Yeah, she’s supposedly one of the sugars seen previously with H&M, allegedly, and photographed - possibly on the Nigerian jaunt?? Not a big lady by any means, maybe in her 40s?

Archie's name isn't short for anything. That's his name.

Sorry I thought he was named Archibald but shortened.

PigglyWigglyOhYeah · 28/06/2026 08:59

The poor kids can’t help what they are called, but really….Archie is a name you’d give a border terrier, not a prince of the realm, and Lilibet is just ridiculous, like she was named by someone who can only speak in baby talk.

Rainingcatsandog · 28/06/2026 09:01

Surely the whole point is that they aren't on official Royal business because they aren't working Royals. Therefore they don't qualify for Met protection. If they are coming from the airport to stay with KC, maybe, but Beatrice and Eugenie don't get protection. Neither do Zara or Peter Philips. He's on the same level as them. He just won't accept that.

Baital · 28/06/2026 09:03

Archie Harrison when they were reforming the RF from within.

Lilibet Diana when they had escaped the stifling traditions...

It's so deliberate, though, isn't it? The link to the late Queen.

ConnectFortyFour · 28/06/2026 09:12

I still don’t really get why they see the uk as so much more dangerous as all the other places they travel. I don’t think they get state funded security in Australia, Nigeria or indeed the us do they? Is it to do with guns? Their private security might be able to carry guns there but not here? Or do they just think there are more fixated individuals here?

Oh it's nothing to do with security and everything to do with drama and attention seeking.

It’s truly terrible. Anyone with any degree of sense or taste would have called her Elizabeth, if they wanted that link to TLQ. It wouldn’t stop them using ‘Lilibet’ at home, if they absolutely felt the need. Revoltingly twee.

Archie Harrison when they were reforming the RF from within.

Lilibet Diana when they had escaped the stifling traditions...

So true! Also, don’t forget this…

When Archie was born, Omid Scobie, was given an exclusive by the couple, announcing his name on twitter and sharing the photo of the Queen, prince Philip, Doria and the three Sussexes. He said “ As we expected, Harry and Meghan have forgone a courtesy title for their child. All part of giving him as normal a life as possible.”

Once they have fled the toxic, unsurvivable monarchy? People magazine announces on their behalf: “While confirming the news of Lilibet's recent christening a spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex told People on Wednesday: "I can confirm that Princess Lilibet was christened on Friday, March 3 by the bishop in the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles, the Rev John Taylor."

Please note - this is speculation not fact!

Neither do Princess Anne and the Edinburghs when not on official duty.

I often wonder if all Harry's tantrums and court cases have actually increased their risk, as I suspect not many people realised they didn't have full-time security.

bluegreygreen · 28/06/2026 10:11

Interesting timing re the DM Max Mosley articles @MyAutumnCrow (it looks like there was one before the one you've linked).

I wonder if this is in preparation for the ANL result, and there will be a third in the series discussing the use of Mosley's money to fund the case?
