There is a photo of Harry with his children with reference to Fathers Day . It shows him cuddling his children , with the girl's face partially shown but the son is turned fully into Harry and you only see the back of his head.
In most photos that they post this is always the case .
Why do they do this ?

Just leave them alone. Ffs. They left salty island so many years ago because the English bully like no other nation.

Why hello 👋, from this salty English bully! 😁

Especially when you’re simultaneously telling everyone how harmful it was to grow up in the public eye and warning parents against posting photos of children on social media.

But they don’t post their faces.

hyggetyggedotorg · 21/06/2026 20:48

All they do is show their hair which, in Lilibet’s case, changes colour quite regularly.

Surely not showing them at all would be better.

It doesn't though. People are just seemingly unaware that colours of all things look different in different lights

Absolute bollocks. Red hair is red hair.

And it looks a shade of red in every photo I've seen. Red isn't one shade any more than blonde is.

What's your theory then? The ridiculous one that she's putting the kids in different wigs? Or the really bonkers one that they aren't the same children?

Quite right. Unless of course the children in question are other people’s, apparently showing their faces is A-ok 😂

Lilbet’s hair most certainly does not look red in all photos. In some it’s quite a dark brown.

I have a child with red hair, in 18 years I’ve never managed to get a photo in any lighting where her hair does not look red.

I have no “theory”. Apart from photos clearly being edited to cause discussion.

Without wishing to sound rude @Jennalong, posting a thread about the Sussex’s children is just not on and will only encourage criticism of the children who don’t deserve it.

I'm not criticising anyone , I am making an observation .
it was a question about Harry & Meghan and not the children per se .

I mean, isn't it obvious?

The hate they've had the last few years?

I wouldn't be surprised if they were getting death threats fairly regularly, the amount of bile people spew about them.

I have family members who won't post face pics of their kids online.

It's really not unusual.

then why post any photo of the children online?
the children no doubt love their dad. Why the need for any external validation?

FancyBiscuitsLevel · 21/06/2026 21:07

@DappledThings- I would love it if she really did have a range of child sized wigs and was swapping the kids wigs regularly to see how long it took for anyone to comment. Please let it be a multi-wig situation.

(I’m married to a ginger, it sometimes photographs oddly, we’ve looked at two photos taken on the same day and his hair has looked very different shades, plus it lightens in the sunshine. But this is far more boring that kiddie-wig. Please let it be her next business venture will be wigs for kids. Far more fun than jam.)

If those children’s parents have decided that it’s ok, then it’s ok.

LiveLuvLaugh · 21/06/2026 21:14

Despite all the things that have happened, I feel sad that Harry hasn’t felt he can bring his children to the UK for several years though I understand he hopes to do so later in the summer. I don’t get the feeling he is really happy in exile.

desperatemum1234 · 21/06/2026 21:19

I have recently thought that these photos are all fake and in fact there are no children whatsoever, they don’t exist. Maybe they use dolls or something. Everything just looks so fake in every photo.

Again, it's pretty normal these days.

I have 2 younger cousins who have made father's day posts for their DH's today with pics of him with the kids but the kids are facing away..

I guess they want to make mushy posts but also don't want their kids faces online?

Hardly a problem, is it?

each to their own and all that.

Noodledog · 21/06/2026 21:59

Backedoffhackedoff · 21/06/2026 20:25

Well, you don’t need to argue with me about it, I’m just telling you why they do it. Their social media is for them to do what they like, surely?

Well, no, not really - it's not their family Instagram account, it's public. If they want to protect their childrens' privacy, well, they're not. And it's clearly deliberate, and imo very cynical. The children are too young to consent to this, and trying to profit from them is vile.

Thedom · 21/06/2026 22:04

Another poster pointed out the last time she published a photo of either kid was when Lilibet turned one and everyone remarked how she was the image of Thomas Markle, until that point there were plenty of photos of both kids faces.

That could also be a reason for only showing them from the back, she doesn’t want that comparison to be brought up time and time again.

noonames · 21/06/2026 22:05

BillericayDickie · 21/06/2026 21:12

If those children’s parents have decided that it’s ok, then it’s ok.

It’s ok to warn how harmful it is to post photos of children online, and how damaging it was for your own childhood to be shared with the public, excuse your own use of children on social media with “but we don’t show their faces” and then show faces of other people’s children? Vulnerable children in hospital, with drips attached and half naked? Why isn’t it harmful to show their faces? Does it not count if there’s a greater good, like merching your outfit?

Were the your cousins being posted on social media accounts with millions of followers? Are your cousins the children of a couple who are constantly looking for media attention and clicks?

They are using these photos as a trailer for the future (they hope lucrative) big reveal.

It's unbelievably cynical and disgusting.

To protect their children

SuiGeneris1 · 21/06/2026 22:10

For exactly the same reasons his cousins Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie do, to protect their children from vile people who would wish them harm, their posts also the same profiles of their children as in, we can’t see their faces. I’d do the same tbh

To protect their children

The best way to protect their children is to keep their images off social media. I can't believe this needs to be said, really. These photos are completely unnecessary. And far from protecting the children, they are deliberately encouraging interest about them and what they look like.

I really don’t understand this.
What’s the point of your cousins’ post?
share photos with family and if you don’t want your children’s photos online don’t post anything at all.
