The more he blabs on about security and his perceived threat to his children, the more he draws attention to them. Doesn’t he realise that, if he really wants his children shielded, he needed to simply not mention them at all?
I know his wife is using them to generate $$$ but he has no need to.
Why don’t they have video calls with Charles? That would surely be one option?
I wonder if they ever intended to come and are simply exploiting the visit to keep their profile in the media.

It’s interesting that apparently they’re holidaying in Europe at the moment, no mention of requiring protection there. It’s all ammo for generating media attention and denigrating the UK as being a dangerous environment and Charles for not giving them armed guards which of course would prove to the grifters just how important they are and yep, generate more opportunities for photos and $$$$ from selling their stories.

It’s only the big bad U.K. with racists not really hiding round the corner waiting to boo them for their behaviour. The Brits see through the Sussexes and that’s something the pair of them can’t accept or forgive, so they blame it on racism.

The truth is they are a laughing stock. They could easily have come to the U.K., seen KC, without all this hoopla, if they had wanted to. They clearly didn’t. No one would have been any the wiser. So here we are.

Royal commentators generally know which side have leaked details, due to where the story first appeared and the name of the journalist who first wrote the story.
This indicates it was H&M side who leaked.
A stay at BP or St James has always been offered to Harry, but so far, he has preferred to stay in a hotel.
It is not that he thinks BP is less secure, but he does not want the BP officials knowing when he comes in or out.
Their brand has always been 'Trash the Royal Family; call them racists; especially trash Catherine, etc, reveal lots of nasty gossip about them', revealed to the media in an Oprah Interview, a Netflix series, a Book, Spare, accompanied by many interviews, and make sure you mention how trash the RF is at eevry other opportunity, such as the wearing of 'pantyhose' (tights), etc
They always wanted to 'monetise' their connection to the RF, and this is where the late Queen said you cannot be half in and half out. They wanted to cherry pick RF events, and monetise the rest.
Monetising has always been a problem for 'non-working' royals, but unworkable if half in and half out.
I am sure the RF will forgive Harry, if not already, but once trust has gone, it is difficult to repair that damage.

Am I getting this right - you think anything presented without proof is necessarily a lie - It’s not possible for something to be true if it’s not presented with proof?

So if I say - I am 35 years old - that’s a lie, I cannot be 35 because I am not offering any proof, I must be some other age. If I go and get my birth certificate, it then becomes true? If I say my todger had frostbite, that’s a lie unless you see what, photos? What about if I say that a courtier told me the Queen Mother had died, that must be a lie without a recording of the phone call.

Regardless of whether posters on here are offering proof, regardless of whether they have ever in their lives told a lie themselves, we know for sure that Meghan and Harry are liars. They have both lied in court for a start. How does that compare to offering an opinion on a chat forum without providing proof - both the same?

I don't think this story surprises anyone, we're all used to H&M's games.

The interesting thing will be what games they still try to play when they need to come over for a royal funeral or wedding.

It probably deeply distressed KC to be estranged from his son . But that was H choice not the RF . How would any family react if he publicly called his stepmother those names , accused his brother of assaulting, made his SIL look like a nasty bitch to his bride , used the phrase protecting his Grandmother as if she needed it , All in a book and interviews where he also made himself look like an idiot with his horsy virginity taker and his frozen penis . He's like an awful relative you want to avoid . And that's even before you mention his wife . I really liked the idea of her bringing a new modern look to the RF . But she has proven to be anything but an asset. Slagging off RF protocol and trying to insinuate herself in a vulgar and crass way . She could have made such a difference but chose instead to want the title and fame without doing the hard and sometimes tedious work involved.

I can’t think of any Royal wedding that they will be invited to .
And the same for funerals apart from KC .

It's really bizarre behaviour, isn't it? Trash your family for years, for money, then expect not only a welcome, but effectively financial support?

KC was always an absent father, by his own admission so I dont think he's that bothered about not seeing H. They don't just hang out in the same house, they see each other by appointment only.

Exactly - but they didn’t play these games when it was PP funeral and QE2 funeral - PP MM was heavily pregnant so couldn’t travel from the US - QE2, they were already here as MM was keynote speaker at the One Young World conf in Manchester - no worries about security in the UK on those occasions.

Similarly they were over at the Jubilee - loitering in full view on the steps of St Paul’s, winding down car windows the public, MM getting herself front and centre in a window on The Mall.

The took their two young children over then - stayed in Windsor - hosted a ‘backyard’ party for Lili there - took full frontal facial photos of her and issued them to the worlds media …. what’s changed since?

Has their risk increased?
Is the risk to MM and A&L much higher than PH - because he’s prepared to come?

The only thing I can recall is H saying he would love to live in Africa but M would never agree to that !
Why issue the half in half out statement ?
Despite his protestations and complaints, H very much wants to be Royal . As does M . If they truly wanted out of the Royal “ prison” they would drop the titles and they certainly wouldn’t have insisted on them for their DC .

The DM comments are almost all negative, not just for this article but for the pro Sussex ones too. Interestingly, the few positive comments all make the same argument “but Charles wrote a book”. Looks like that is the Defence of the Day so looking forward to reading it on here.
