I've had to sit down. I know people on this thread will struggle to believe it but the Sussexes trip to the UK is in doubt. Why? Because RAVEC, apparently, has pronounced 'no increased security'. That means they will only be protected when on Royal property.
I'm confused. What happened to the 30 days notice and security provided on a case-by-case basis? Unless there has been an assessment and it has found the threat level has decreased so the hospital and sports venues they plan need to visit are deemed safe.
My brain hurts. If you want to make a good account of yourself in the land of your birth, don't you double- and triple-check the minutest detail of every aspect of your itinerary before the press announcement, especially the security? And if you're concerned for your safety, do you tell the world in advance which buildings you're going to be visiting?
Dickhead doesn't even begin to cover it.
