It’s earthy more than bitter. If you drink it with hot water alone, it isn’t that pleasant, but that’s the traditional Japanese way of consuming it. I drink it with soya milk. The kids having their lattes will probably be drinking the cheap stuff that is cut with other tea products, sugar and flavourings. The one that’s good for you is pure and called ceremonial grade - full of anti-oxidants. This is what mine looks like - this is about twice the quality I would use for a latte as it’s super caffeinated, although it doesn’t give you energy spikes the way coffee does.

I have 20 odd yr old nieces who drink bubble tea, apparently it is very popular. I tried it. Once. 😉No idea about matcha - I'm an Earl Grey woman myself - but half a cup of anything on top of a runny spread doesn't sound great. Is it meant to be a pudding?

My husband went to a famous public school (annual fees currently £50k! Gulp) where breakfast sausages were eaten with marmalade (sounds dreadful but it does go. )
I wonder if at Eton they serve sausage with jam?? I suspect that’s what H has to eat. - I almost feel sorry for Harry & the kids having to eat fruit spread and flower sprinkles at every meal.
It reminds me of ‘Elf’ putting maple syrup on everything.

What’s sad to me is clearly she is only marketing to her loyal fans now, no new customer base is going to appear. I can guess a lot of them can’t really afford to buy overpriced shit quality spread too and she doesn’t care. I’ll be glad when she shifts the backlog of the stuff, I assume she won’t produce more.

I wonder if they have any grand plan beyond making money and being adored/famous for not much. It’s an odd life. They talk about service but I don’t think they care about it that much. I think charity associations are to raise their profile only.

This is basically stirring about 10 teaspoons of sugar into a drink. In what universe would aspiring Americans (if this is her market) want to do that?

I really think that either she’s just trying to subvert the RF all the time by throwing anything however ridiculous and stupid into the public arena, or she has mental health problems. She just wants all the attention on her whatever the cost, and she wants to embarrass the RF.

It's odd that she's trying to sell a laid back SoCal lifestyle, given that sugar and carbs are practically illegal in LA! None of the women in the social circles she aspires to would let that sugary crap in her home, let alone past her lips!

I'd say there's no grand plan. They are going to push royal adjacency through Ingriftus. If they can get KC to show up with them in Birmingham, it'll be a win for them (IMO)
