Meghan and Harry the grift that keeps on grifting. Long may they continue. Better than any soap opera on the telly.

Don't they have a couple of films in the pipeline? I don't mean by the lake or whatever it is - but rather Cookie Queens ( summer release ? ) and the one about soldiers in Afghanistan ?

What about the one where she has a cameo ?

yes, what happened to her cameo role and cookie queens ?

Close Personal Friends. Release date not yet announced.

Cookie Queens scheduled for release 7/8/26. I don't see it becoming this summer's blockbuster.

FenellaFeldman · 16/06/2026 23:24

Well, I hope they're angry.
They were most indignant when the late Queen suggested that she could carry on acting.

Starlia · 17/06/2026 00:19

I thought her cameo got cut from Close Personal Friends? Will see what I can dig up.

Jam coffee is disgusting. Seriously.

Starlia · 17/06/2026 00:22

Ok can’t find anything definitive about the cameo being cut - just rumours. My apologies!

elessar · 17/06/2026 00:28

That revolting matcha bundle is - like all her other bundles - overpriced.

A bag of the matcha latte on Clevrblends sells for $29 full price or $20 if you sign up for a 3 month subscription.

So Meghan prices the bundle based on the full price for the latte, jam and flower sprinkles. If someone genuinely wanted this horrible combo they’d be better off buying separately from the Clevr site.

her marketing photos are hilariously bad. I get she must be aiming for rustic hence the inclusion of dirty spoons, spills etc, but it just looks unappealing and amateur.

sickofsixseven · 17/06/2026 04:03

If you added real jam to a drink it would be a disgusting lumpy mess surely? Just shows what a watery approximation of actual jam or even "fruit spread" it is. Either way, its gross 🤢

MyAutumnCrow · 17/06/2026 04:04

I have no words.

PigglyWigglyOhYeah · 17/06/2026 06:32

I’m not sure making people feel sick is an effective marketing strategy.

Yorkshire tea do flavoured teas
https://www.yorkshiretea.co.uk/our-teas
including toast and jam. Too sweet for me though

www.yorkshiretea.co.uk/our-teas

I'm very disappointed in Yorkshire tea for succumbing to the sweet tooth trend. They will be drizzling honey in breakfast tea next 🙄

Recklessismymiddlename · 17/06/2026 06:55

The biscuit one taste like dunking of rich tea biscuits in - it’s very discombobulating. I bought as a friend was raving about them. I tried a couple of times and couldn’t get on board with them. They have now gone past their use by dates and been thrown away.

However if wanting to get the taste without the calories I suppose could work in restricting calories sort of way. But not for me.

Just thought I’d share that Yorkshire did it first.

Being flavoured is one thing but imagine a there really was a bunch of soggy rich teas filling half the cup?

Recklessismymiddlename · 17/06/2026 07:10

Grim. My friend liked the flavoured ones. I don’t have a sweet tooth ( I’m a savoury woman) so wasn’t for me!

LittleMerrymaid · 16/06/2026 18:10

It looks like something Shrek coughed up.

@MrsLeonFarrell - all of my grandchildren above the age of 12 drink matcha tea. Some of them drink the tea as it comes whereas others drink concoctions. The genuinely seem to like. On the other hand I tried it once and couldn’t get past the fact it looks like something a cow spat out.

Edited

Thank you. I wasn't really aware of matcha. I don't really like the green and with the jam the colours say Christmas novelty for me. I think I'll stick to my coffee!

LaMarschallin · 17/06/2026 07:20

Matches, matcha...
It's beginning to sound like the declension of a Latin noun or adjective.
Perhaps the next will be another attempt to prove H is matcho.

What’s sad to me is clearly she is only marketing to her loyal fans now, no new customer base is going to appear. I can guess a lot of them can’t really afford to buy overpriced shit quality spread too and she doesn’t care. I’ll be glad when she shifts the backlog of the stuff, I assume she won’t produce more.

I wonder if they have any grand plan beyond making money and being adored/famous for not much. It’s an odd life. They talk about service but I don’t think they care about it that much. I think charity associations are to raise their profile only.

This 💯, it’s fan merch she is selling and she doesn’t have a huge fanbase and her fanbase is not the kind of target audience for her overproced products, so there is no where for her to elevate her business.

I remember seeing a post from one of her fans who bought her wine and said they were going to mix it with Prosseco to make it last longer as they couldn’t afford to buy more. That is who Meghan’s customer is, there are possibly a few rich friends helping her out buying stuff to gift their household staff, because they would not be gifting it for friends or family.

Maybe her buddy (ex-buddy?) Oprah will help her out with moving her excess stock by giving out ‘one for everyone in the audience’ for a few weeks.

Thedom · 17/06/2026 07:51

I think my teen may be exiting her Matcha era, she has the bamboo whisk and had been making it daily, she adds honey to hers, but I haven’t seen her make it for the past week or so. I told her I had a new Matcha recipe to show her and her reaction was hysterical, not too different to ours, recoil and a total look of disgust, ‘ that is absolutely gross, who would drink that’ and the kicker from a ‘know it all teen’ “someone who knows nothing about Matcha made that up without ever having tried Matcha or understanding what it is about” I told her it was a recipe from the Duchess of Sussex and of course that got a “who TF is that” type of answer.

Guess Meghan needs to come up with something new if she really wants that teen market. I still laugh at the idea any of my teens or their friends would even think about buying jam, never mind saving up to buy it !

I doubt OW would do this - not aspirational enough for her own brand - doubt she would want to be associated with such low quality tat (products) and poor execution / image (marketing).

Chimneyissues · 17/06/2026 08:15

The only way this would be successful is if it was in stores and priced appropriately.
I assume Highgrove stuff is in Harrods’? And has a good market with tourists.

Thedom · 17/06/2026 08:26

Anyone seen the photo on x of Harry manhandling what looks like a service dog?

“Social media has not been kind. Users have flooded comment sections and quote tweets with variations of the same theme: Harry looks ridiculous, the dog looks in charge, and the whole thing feels like the universe delivering karmic payback.
One widely shared take noted that Harry “thinks everything is there for his entertainment” and uses every setting as a photo op to prove he’s a good guy — only to fail constantly because the performance rings hollow.
Others pointed out the contrast with the real work done by actual veterans and their dogs. While Harry plays at being one of them for a few hours, the warriors who sacrificed limbs and peace of mind continue their quiet recovery. The golden retriever, at least, seems to be doing its job without needing an audience or a Netflix special.”

I know someone with a service dog and, explicitly, you should never touch them when they are ‘working’ I.e with their coat on. The dogs handler looks happy enough, but they are really bad images for Harry, shows how utterly clueless and uninformed he is.
