I've wondered where her Charles-funded wardrobe has ended up. As we haven't seen her in any of it swishing around California, I imagine he had aides retrieve it so she wouldn't sell it. No mention of it in 'Spare', IIRC.

Harry doesn’t notice anything! He actually believes that Meghan could sew her own clothes like Maria from the sound of music!! , he wears the same suits and worn shoes from his time as a working royal !

Well, hands up, I got it wrong on the previous thread that the lilac monstrosity wouldn't be seen in public, that even Megs couldn't get it that wrong. Turns out she can. I take succor, however, from the fact that this was a Swiss brand, so she was obviously trying to dress diplomatically and put thought and time into doing so....despite having no diplomatic status or standing or power or authority or just chops, or an audience to bear witness to and praise her efforts. So, she'll be furious about that.

I still think the posting of the lilac shirt coat dress was a dig at the Catherine comparisons. Mainly because it's such an obvious and easy one and cheap (as in, didn't cost her any money) one for her to make.

I reckon she's going to be furious at how little coverage she got of this trip, and how negative whatever little coverage she did get has been. She flew 13 hours each way, commercial (ain't nobody at the WHO these days who has the budget to be flying her over private), for this. She took Chris Whatshisname as her bodyguard, and probably a stylist because the hair looks done. None of that was cheap. I think this, so hot on the heels of Australia, is going to be a message coming out loud and clear.

I think we’ll see her desperately trying to be seen anywhere in order to merch her clothes, if she can grab the limelight it doesn’t matter what the cause is.

Is Harry real in that video? It sounds like he's talking about getting some dodgy therapy legalised..? He looks and sounds so aggressive, as well as rather grubby.

He always reminds me of a preachy teenager - so earnest and pleased with himself, trotting out cliches like they are devastatingly original thoughts, performative sincerity, no nuance. Forgivable in a 15 year old but really annoying in a middle aged man.

They seem to not be too bothered about voluntarily aligning themselves to organisations / people accused of sexual abuse, African Parks, Tyler Perry, WHO, Tedros, this Finnish right winger ….

It really exposes how his written statements and speeches have nothing to do with him. He is inarticulate and has very simplistic language when trying to make his points, his tone is very off because he doesn’t have the verbal skills to help make his point.

The SS script online is that Meghan trip was arranged months ago. It's the WHO - they have to plan these things months in advance. It was Catherine's trip that was totally last minute, and only done because reasons probably Australia .

I grew bored at that point. The photo of the event are all highly curated, with lots of Meghan cuddling people and the background totally blurred.

Lots of people were there - you don't know them, they go to a different school.

As with the Invictus vets, Parents Network and the rest I strongly dislike their constant use of vulnerable people purely for their own PR, but that said I really don't get why these folk allow themselves to be used

It's not as if H&M's MO is unknown now, so unless they somehow enjoy being used by a vulpine self seeker their motivation beats me

I read that comment from Harry as sarcasm. Charles had complained about her (nearly) million quid a year clothes habit (and possibly matters arising).

Harry snapped back (and this is according to Harry himself!) with a petulant tone something like, ‘maybe she’ll make her own clothes’.

Harry hates compromise. He gets what he wants or flies off the handle. Same with Meghan.

Harry imagines, however, the reader will interpret stories like this as demonstrating a big old meanie Charles, and poor little downtrodden, discriminated against Harry. Instead, we see the spoiled middle aged whingeing prince who is constitutionally completely irrelevant and personally unfit for any office.

I'm baffled they are getting these gigs. There are many more qualified, articulate people out there who would do these causes justice

I think you could be right . Whilst still a WR , there was a story ( never denied) that officials had raised concerns about Meghan’s clothing bills .
This had clearly been conveyed to Charles who had a word with Harry who - of course- threw a tantrum.
