The article is about Harry never voting and not having a specific political leaning. I wonder if this is being published again to butter up the people of Birmingham before the Invictus junket rolls into the city? Hoping the public there will believe he doesn't have any beef with any particular side of the political divide.

Could be. He waded in - rather badly - on the antisemitism issue recently, didn't he?

RecoIIectionsMayVary · 22/05/2026 10:08

I’ve also been focusing on upstream solutions and prevention, driven by decisions and investments that address problems before they require fixing,

From the InStyle article.

... while my charities remain a core part of my life’s work, I’ve also been focusing on upstream solutions and prevention, driven by decisions and investments that address problems before they require fixing

Regardless of the date of the original article you have to wonder who wrote this for him, because while it's undoubtably word salad he certainly doesn't have the ability to craft it for himself

It’ll be the mistress of cutted up rainbow fruit salad herself, probably.

And waded in on the other side in Jordan. And against Trump on Ukraine. I can well believe he has no political morals whatsoever, just says whatever is expedient in any given situation. But we know his wife is firmly Democratic, so I don’t know why he’s bothering trying to convince anyone he’s politically neutral either.

Yes I’m suspicious now ! , I was doing my usual morning stuff with the usual morning tv and news in the background, imagine my surprise when my ears caught the words “invictus “ and realised there was a whole segment about how it saved this wounded soldiers life!!!
how coincidental eh?

jeffgoldblum · 22/05/2026 10:24

Oh and further information..it’s bbc one west ( my location!) morning live!

So true. Yes, the incorrect information about Israel preventing aid going in - they offered to let him go and check that aid was getting in, didn't they?
Fools rush in.

This thread will nearly be up soon! If there’s someone that wants to take it over the running thread feel free to do so, otherwise this will be the last of the PR series from me.

Huge thanks to @AtIusvue for hosting some of the most entertaining threads on Mumsnet. Hoping we can all continue to follow, discuss, mock, and generally boggle at the Sussex sideshow together for many threads to come.

How interesting. I wonder if this is the start of the PR assault before July? All the MSM will be fawning over “Harry’s initiative” very soon. In fact, all the blather over the random wedding anniversary might have been a part of it - trying to get everyone to remember all the good feelz for these two.

bluegreygreen · 22/05/2026 10:35

Yes, thanks to @AtIusvue for coordinating the Sussex PR threads for so long.

Recklessismymiddlename · 22/05/2026 10:36

Thank you @AtIusvue
I’m happy to set up the next one but only that one!

Puzzledandpissedoff · 22/05/2026 10:38

Also a big thank you from me, @Atlusvue Flowers

I definitely think something is going on @Indianrollerbird! , I should have added!
the curious thing about this segment was that at no time was Harry mentioned at all! Nothing! , it was also twined with the same reporter talking to a woman who lost her leg when an apache helicopter was shot down and had to retire from the navy , she credited the royal legion for helping her ( nothing about invictus at all!) , this seems like a soft pr push and the fact Harry was omitted seems purposefully done! , if you don’t follow the royals or h and m , you would assume that invictus was something charitable! 🤔🤷‍♀️

bluegreygreen · 22/05/2026 10:43

Interesting.

I wonder if that change in Invictus approach is linked with the new trustees appointed recently.

Recklessismymiddlename · 22/05/2026 10:44

Hopefully this has worked!!

@Atlusvuemany thanks 🙏, I also don’t mind carrying the batton again as I have previously done.❤️

My thoughts exactly @bluegreygreen! , I don’t think I’ve ever heard invictus mentioned without Harry before!

Indianrollerbird · 22/05/2026 10:46

Yes, a soft PR approach by the new trustees makes sense. Them minimising Harry’s involvement makes sense. Harry pushing back against this also makes sense. Interesting!

Recklessismymiddlename · 22/05/2026 10:44

You might want to edit to add h and m ! Despite the fact it’s a long running series you will only get complaints from certain quarters!

Indianrollerbird · 22/05/2026 10:50

@AtIusvue thank you from me too for all your sterling work, especially taking one for the team watching WLM! I hope you’ll carry on posting on the next thread when you have time.

No it’s something that we have all experienced! , it’s just an excuse to disrupt 🤷‍♀️

Recklessismymiddlename · 22/05/2026 10:54

Ahh I can’t edit it. And this thread doesn’t include H&M so if anyone else feels really strongly let me know as well and I’ll report as that all I think I can do 🙈

Just put it in your first introduction post like @AtIusvuedid , if you can’t edit that then put it in the next post.
