This headline says it all

Prince Harry's crusade for relevance just failed again ……

I agree @MrsLeonFarrell

sitting in the butter photos very Last Tango in Paris.

Maybe Meg buttering up Kris is making more sense.

flapjackfairy · 15/05/2026 08:10

I just dont get this feature film nonsense! Meghan has done a bit of acting but other than that what qualifies them for anything like this !

Not2identifying · 15/05/2026 08:16

It's astonishing how much news content they are generating at the moment. I think it must be a further sign (after getting rid of staff and the Archewell Foundation) of financial difficulty.

BasiliskStare · 15/05/2026 07:29

Here another opinion piece on H's NS article. As a bonus she separately mentions M's (what I shall always now think of as ) sitting in the butter photos

As ever I don't know how to archive - if someone can point me to the instructions again I'll try in future , but thank you for those who have taken up my incompetent slack in the meantime.

Thank you. Here it is in archive. I just use Archive Today website (archive.ph). Copy and paste the url into the archive function. More often than not it's already there because someone else got there first, but if you are the first one to archive, you just need to wait for a couple of minutes for the article to load.

He can "position" himself as a global statesman all he likes but it is clear that he is the only person who sees himself that way. A true global statesman would never have written such a simplistic, reductive article in the first place.

Thedom · 15/05/2026 08:36

Thanks @Indianrollerbird

This is getting ridiculous, his puppet master is getting his moneys worth.

Harry’s intervention came just hours before the King visited communities in Golders Green, north London, where two Jewish men were stabbed last month, although sources close to both the office for Harry and to Buckingham Palace suggested that the timing was a coincidence, as he did not share the news of the article with his father in advance.

The essay was also released during a high-profile visit by the Princess of Wales to Italy.

In his piece for the left-leaning magazine, …… a publication which called for the abolition of the monarchy in October,

Lazingsundayafternoon · 15/05/2026 08:36

He’s got several puppet masters I suspect.

Indianrollerbird · 15/05/2026 08:37

Meanwhile, his old pal, who had gone a bit silent for a while, Misan Harriman*, has spoken to complain that new outlets are focusing on the anti-semitism message in the article by Harry, and not the anti-muslim one. What a knob.

(*He's on the board of the South Bank Centre now, which makes me think, once again I will not be spending my money there (they don't like gender critical women either)).

Mylovelygreendress · 15/05/2026 08:44

LaMarschallin · 15/05/2026 07:33

The article says this will be the latest feature film for Harry and Meghan
Where are their previous feature films?
Or do the "escape to freedom" series and the polo thing count?
I presume this will end up filed away with the Miss Haversham story and Meet Me at the Lake, but you never know 🤷‍♀️
They're certainly piling on the attempts to get publicity atm.

What happened to Meet Me at The Lake ? The Miss Haversham thing ? And the other film that was announced a few months ago ? And the film where MM has a cameo ? Oh and the hundreds of film offers she has received?

Many thanks @Indianrollerbird! My hero ❤️

BasiliskStare · 15/05/2026 08:52

@Indianrollerbird Thank you Thank you - I can use the archive thing now. It was rather exciting when it was loading - I felt like I was in a thriller where the computer screen thing has to load before the baddies arrive. (My brain is often a place you do not want to go 😊)

Anyway - just to prove it here's an archived version of Thedom's article - apologies if already done & I missed it

😂😂😂I went into a blind panic the first time all the meta data or whatever you call it was rolling down the screen in poisonous green! Half expected my laptop to explode at the end of it. I'm such a luddite!

@Universe25 I agree with you that Charles masterminded an astonishing comeback for Camilla. But I genuinely don't think the RF are protecting Harry from bad press now. Witness the massive nosedive in popularity he's experienced since he's no longer in the fold to see how much they were managing his image before he left.

I agree, I can't see that they're protecting him much now. They're ignoring him.

But I am bewildered as to why the msm are not calling out merching of clothes and inappropriately commenting on political matters and slapping a lifeguard's arse. I mean, honestly, REALLY does not one national paper think that worthy of comment? Bewildering.

BasiliskStare · 15/05/2026 09:03

I'm on a roll. 😂

This article is from the Independent. I think the author is a bit soft on Harry re Invictus - but for what it is worth - here

@Indianrollerbird Give a woman fish and she'll eat for the day , teach a woman to fish and she eat for her lifetime. Thank you. You can't be more of a luddite than me!

Indianrollerbird · 15/05/2026 00:54

I’m not sure what makes Tom Sykes a “randomer”. He’s from the posho circle that surrounds the RF (his sister is Plum Sykes), he was one of Tina Brown’s proteges, former royal rota and is currently European editor at large at the Daily Beast. He gets his intel from sources, the same as every other royal journalist.

He still doesn’t have an accurate handle on KC3 private medical health status or prognosis and shouldn’t declare that he has - especially with cancer involved.

Edited

Thank you. That was a really good article up until the Invictus bit. The author is a little behind the times on that topic, and nobody believes Harry's
"dazzle dazzle" charm was anything other than good palace PR, and probably a few alternative substances.

That green data rolling down the screen is exactly why I abandoned trying to archive the article 😀🫣

Thedom · 15/05/2026 09:36

Has any outlet in the US reported on Harry’s latest revenge missiles at the racist and antisemetic UK population?
