That ‘sources close to’ MSN article is 😮😮😮😮

They seem so deluded and think it’s all about them

I believe it was Invictus's Digital Communications Manager who said, in his disastrous AMA on TwiX, that Invictus had not paid for H's Ukraine visit, the UK government had. He has locked his account now, so I can't check.

I saw the Communication Manager's post. He was asked how much IG had paid for Harry's trip. His response was '0'.

Someone further down the thread then assumed that taxpayers must have paid, and posted that as fact on their own post a short time later.

Thanks - I'm enjoying the quote marks around "suffering" and "PTSD" in the headline!!

I know! The thing is , is H really expecting his father to say something to Trump. I would say to H "PTSD" "not fair" "vulnerable" - grow up. Trump made a few jokes about your marriage. You're both in your 40s - fight your own battles.

If there is any truth in this I think it is frankly pathetic. But with the gilded life they lead and the many many advantages that have been bestowed on them in the last decade I suppose they have to dig pretty deeply to find their victimhood.

Nice try H&M but no cigar. 😂

bluegreygreen · 14/05/2026 15:46

We're on the same page re the tacit approval @Lunde - it's bothered me for a while.

The five ring stack was Trevor not Harry @Puzzledandpissedoff, so not there , she still wears it as far as I can tell ( however it is difficult to tell which is which, so I understand the confusion!)

I thought she returned her rings to Trevor by post ? Knowing what we know now about her greed it would surprise me if she really did.

Apparently she fed ex them to him without a word!! , I would assume she thought she would get better next time! 🤷‍♀️

StrawberryWasp · 14/05/2026 16:01

Looking at the rings she obviously chose her own ring last time and so got exactly what she wanted: A great big diamond on a dainty pave band.

And she's now altered her 'designed by Harry' ring to be as like the one she had from Trevor as she can make it. So she's got a bigger central diamond and the dainty pave band, but kept 'Diana's diamonds'.

I wonder what she did with the very special 'Botswana' diamond chosen by Harry because of the significance for them? Traded it in for the new bigger rock? Not so special after all then?

I liked Harry's original choice and am not a fane of pave bands unless it's an eternity ring studded with diamonds. I also like the thought that went into it (I know I'm in a minority).

I'm not sure you are in a minority. I think there are two schools of thought. 1) If husband chooses that's very special and you stick with it" 2) You're the one who has to wear it everyday so if you'd rather it were different change it to your taste - it's the husband that counts not the ring" I think both are valid .

I thought that the original design was one of a kind, timeless and classic whereas her fashion upgrades make it look dated now as the halo and pave trend were really popular 10 to 20 years ago. But it's clear she loves the bling.

If I were her I would have done like pp suggested and kept the original ring and got a different ring as an anniversary gift.

She really devalues him at every turn. Who else has a ring designed by a British Prince which includes diamonds from his late Mum? No one. But does she see the exclusivity and provenance there? Nah, needs to be more bling. I would love to hear the valuation from the AR expert. What it would have been worth versus the Markled version.

I liked Harry’s original choice too ! And I’m afraid I’m also in the camp that thinks it’s unfeeling of her to change it! 🤷‍♀️

SqueakyDinosaur · 14/05/2026 16:56

I think remodelling your engagement ring may be something that's more common in the US - any US posters available to comment? But I saw some crazy figures banded around for how much each remodel had cost - it was all a bit clickbaity and so confused about remodel cost vs value of updated ring - if the costs quoted were correct they have between them spent about $1m on a ring that's possibly worth £250k.

ETA - @SixSevenShutUp - totally agree with you re provenance. A direct link back to Diana through her son, without all this Trigger's Broom nonsense, would be very highly valued by some people.

BigWillyLittleTodger · 14/05/2026 17:02

I’m thinking that the piece in the New Statesman has been done for his security appeal, the killing of Taliban chess pieces didn’t get him his security so now he is trying to get people inflamed with regards to anti semitism, he is probably hoping and praying he will now get “credible threats” and therefore his tax payer funded security will be reinstated, to me it’s completely transparent as to what he is doing.

Rumour has it QE2 confiscated it when M was force-marched from the National Theatre and put on a plane to Canada back in 2020.

I have read that story several times but wonder if there is a reliable source ?

feellikeanalien · 14/05/2026 17:10

I usually lurk on here but Harry's recent statement on anti-semitism has really annoyed me.

Not the content of the statement but the fact that he made it at all.

On what basis is he doing it? Not as a representative of the RF or the British government. It is purely because he happens to be the King's son and so full of his own importance that he thinks people should listen to him. Unfortunately he does seem to be being provided with these opportunities by reputable media. I do wonder what is going on behind the scenes or if he is just a useful idiot.

I would be very surprised if he had any input into the content and it also emphasises how little he understands the role of the RF. They are not meant to make political statements. It rather conflicts with his inference that he is still a working royal.

Most definitely!! , I find it hard to believe that Harry of all people designed a ring with a jewel specialist without any input from Meghan! , the obvious thing to do is to keep your original ring and have additional rings to wear , I myself have my original ruby engagement ring, wedding band and ruby eternity rings, but an additional three sets in different colours for times when a change is needed ( my fingers are tiny but I do occasionally get swelling which means I’m unable to wear the original ones) .

I agree, he is deliberately escalating the security threat to force the UK to pay for his security full time.

I’m just watching yesterday’s Amandaland. If it hadn’t have been filmed months ago, I’d swear they were copying MM’s latest instagram reel. They even name check her after Amanda posts a particularly shit video.

kinsey Schofield and Rupert bell discussed it. Tbh, I'm actually not surprised. I think they expected KC to pull Trump up on his comments about PH and Meg

There were clearly more important things to discuss

Ah, fair enough jeff; that certainly explains its absence

And FWIW I'm another who believes changing what a loved one chose for you to be a no-no. Get other rings by all means, but for me an effective declaration that "it wasn't good enough" is downright cruel

Pretty typical though ...
