The ongoing dramas from Montecito courtesy of H&M.

I can’t see another thread but I made the same mistake last time …

Archie and Lilis body language on the boat shows they are kids who don’t talk/play together.

I have to admit I thought that. It is possibly a stage - my three at points in childhood where they were less close to one of other.

Exactly. The photos are so soulless/joyless and very very odd

Ohpleeeease · 12/05/2026 17:12

I don’t think it’s a big deal that they don’t play together. As an older sibling I didn’t always want to play with my younger sister. Also, Meghan said in Australia that A was “tender” and L was a “firecracker” so playing with L might not be much fun for A.

Just derailing the thread to go back to auctions - I couldn’t believe the prices of some of the items at recent auctions from Bellman’s. I’m obviously not the sort of person who swans around in couture but I would have snapped up that Christian Lacroix blazer for £60 and wear it ALL THE TIME! 😂

There’s a posh vintage shop near me which has amazing stuff by all the big designers, they would definitely have that on their rental rail or possibly for sale with a huge mark up.

Also, her kids are always dresses in a strange old fashioned way. Boy always wears trousers / girl in dresses with long hair

daysofpearlyspencer · 12/05/2026 17:29

Monticeto gives me Truman Show vibes, or Paradise if you have seen it on Disney/Hula

AtIusvue · 12/05/2026 18:23

There you have it. The headline to what all his little friends will think. Why would you embarrass a 7 year old boy like this by putting that image out on SM?

Look how Harry talks about his childhood….look the ridicule they are exposing the boy to in just the last month

  • named a scented candle after him
  • Posted a pic of him scared of a Disney Princess.

How can they not see this ? It's so wrong

Ohpleeeease · 12/05/2026 18:59

That’s an awful headline from The Telegraph but they were given the photo and any fool could have predicted such an obvious caption. What is the matter with them?

BridgetJonesV2 · 12/05/2026 19:18

Talking about Kate having access to the Royal Art collection, it must be so weird for Harry living in a non royal property. He grew up in Kensington Palace/Clarence House/Highgrove surrounded by the best antique furniture, priceless art, antique rugs, silk curtains, the finest of bedding, silver cutlery, bone china. Extended family homes like Sandringham, Balmoral and Buckingham Palace. Now he's living in a California McMansion surrounded by a sea of beige. No matter how much money Meghan spends on Hermes blankets and luxury candles, it's all very "new" money and nothing like what Harry is used to.

It was a very questionable pic to release full stop.
If Archie is in school he will be subject to ridicule and teasing.
Very mean spirited IMHO
Why would any Mother publish such a thing?
Or does she not even see him except for as a prop in her "Fun Mummy at disney with silly Archie" photo.

It is just awful and not a surprise-but also gives harry even more justification that everyone-journalists and paps are so mean to him/his children and megan will say that they need more protection...

Tbf, I don’t suppose many seven year old Americans read the Telegraph so I’m confident he won’t face much from his school friends. But now it’s out there. Like the seven worst years of her life, and the fact that his mother contemplated taking her pregnant self and by extension him out of the picture. Why does she not think before she utters publicly?

Recklessismymiddlename · 12/05/2026 19:41

Maybe that’s Meghans aim @MrsMitford3
to persuade Harry, that’s it the big bad British press, that’s against him, so he can’t possibly expose her or his DCs to them.

Conveniently forgetting her role in the photo release.

noonames · 12/05/2026 19:47

I know it’s a tricky puzzle to solve and probably beyond most of us mere commoners, but Meghan is a whip smart Duchess, so hopefully one day she will come up with a way to avoid people commenting on photos of her children (that she has posted online) 🤔

Quite mind boggling what she’s putting them through really, given what Harry has said about his childhood. Plus one of the reasons for the flounce was supposedly to avoid photos of the children appearing in the public domain, which would be inevitable here, apparently 🤥

indeed. And then H in Australia a few weeks ago talking about how he struggled with fatherhood and found it hard to bond when Archie was born.
They just dont think before they speak at all. I dread to think what sort of issues Archie will have knowing his father said that and his mother wanted to commit suicide when pregnant with him. These are things he should never have been told never mind the whole world!

Not2identifying · 12/05/2026 19:54

The difference in attitude between Harry in these photos (his back appears once, no mouse ears) and Meghan, mouse ears, big grins. They are giving a very different energy. It's hard to believe this is what Harry wanted for his kids.

What a horrible photo !

Ohpleeeease · 12/05/2026 20:00

If the kids both wanted to go to Disney, good for them. I hope they both had a lovely time. The world did not need to know.

DaisyDooley · 12/05/2026 20:40

Regarding PP saying that Harry like Diana is a ‘city boy’.
I think he is both.
He loves the city -Like KP, Garden, security, quite quiet considering it’s in the middle of a Capital city, close to everything he could ever need
Then he loves the country -Highgrove, Sandringham, Balmoral, Again security, quiet, extremely private, fabulous kitchens/chefs, acres of beautiful land to wander around , shooting, country sports, riding, family around him & extended family too…
Who wouldn’t love it?
l suppose my point is he always had both didn’t he. Always had a country and city home from beimg a child. I suspect that until he married he had a bedroom at Highgrove. Balmoral every summer, Sandringham every Christmas with the Boxing Day shoot.
It’s forever pissed me off the way the ‘Squad’ and Oprah go on about Nottingham Cottage beimg so small - he had no need for anything bigger at that time and probably didn’t give a damn about its size and furniture as he knew he would get a big apartment/London home and a country home when he married.
He would not have cared about it until Meghan came along and told him it wasn’t fair.

Starryfifty · 12/05/2026 20:47

The telegraph heading is awful. Surely H&M would have looked at the photo and said ok, dump this one but no. The poor lad looks scared of the princess 🙄 kids tear each other to shreds at that age.

It's the Meg show. All the way. She's utterly shameful and H every bit as awful

The headline is horrible but it literally just describes what’s in the photo, and Meghan was the one who released the photo.

I'm absolutely confident that H&M if they saw the headline would blame the “horrible press” and take no responsibility, but the only person who is to blame for this is Meghan for putting an unpleasant and embarrassing photo of her son into the public domain. Why, why, why would you put that out there?
