The ongoing dramas from Montecito courtesy of H&M.

I can’t see another thread but I made the same mistake last time …

Very strange.

Last year, she posted on insta for the UK Mother’s Day and the US. The UKs was a pic of their ‘family tradition’ pudding. The US a pic of her n the kids- with a gushing post about how much her kids love her:
‘Cheers to juggling it all with joy!
And to these two gems - who still attempt to climb “mama mountain”, smother me with kisses, and make every day the most memorable adventure….being your mom is the greatest privilege of my life ‘
I, too, “love you more than all the stars in all the sky, all the raindrops, and all the salt on all the french fries in all the world.”

This year, when she’s even launched an As ever mothers days gift bundle…..absolutely nothing. Nothing about Doria, nothing about her kids, nothing about mother’s day.

For someone who’s brand is…my kids come home to a house smelling of jam/ fit my empire building around the school run/my bestie Serena gets her perfect mothering advice from me because I read ALL the books…..its very strange that she never posted anything on either of the days this year.

Feels like something is up.

If she is purposely taking a step back, she is probably doing the right thing ! It’s what everyone has been saying is her only route to possibly change things.

She needs to take a big break and reset, her Insta content and the use of her kids to promote her business and herself is pure garbage and has actually destroyed any hope she has of building a commercial brand, she has had little to no growth, so it’s clear whatever she is doing is not working. .

They are both so inauthentic, people are not fooled anymore, they have nothing to offer and I don’t think it will get any better.

Mylovelygreendress · 11/05/2026 08:42

I actually had a wee look at her Insta page and it strikes me as very amateurish with infrequent posts.
One of my DDs has started a side hustle and her posts look better ( obviously I am biased) and she is starting to get a lot of attention.

Starryfifty · 11/05/2026 08:44

Kris J has her own children to send Mother's Day wishes. Extremely odd and quite frankly creepy what Meg did. Purely another grift as Kris J obviously has something Meg needs

It occurs to me that she’s either at one extreme or the other. Everything is hyperbolic prose , exclaiming to the skies about how absolutely perfect everything is , or it’s collapsing sobbing on the floor , feeling suicidal etc. Just so ridiculously over dramatic and egotistical. Quite teenage really.

Thedom · 11/05/2026 09:10

I would hazard a guess they are on the floor of the war room, sobbing and wailing.

Just in the last few weeks alone, everything they have done to emulate Harry’s old job, has been eclipsed by the RF just going about their regular business.

Now the questions and negativity about Invictus getting louder and all over SM, Invictus is Harry’s last stand, he needs it !! His and his wife’s involvement, the Birmingham Games costs nd their aggressive SM management are casting a very long shadow on the organization.

She'll be making 'pah-sta' with a side helping of kids favourite courgette shavings or some such nonsense....one of them, the daughter probably, in a back shot dressed in an accidental green, white and red outfit

bluegreygreen · 11/05/2026 10:12

If she is taking a step back, and resetting, I wish her well.

On previous form, it's more likely a prelude to 'Look! I was trolled when I did post for Mother's Day and trolled when I didn't!'.

It's exactly what she needs to do for her sake and her children's but alas, I think she's just too hungry for attention, fame

PigglyWigglyOhYeah · 11/05/2026 10:20

Me too. It’s well over-due. I hope she’s sitting down with a notepad, pen and calculator and working out how to scale back, cut down and live a less ridiculously public, more peaceful life enjoying her children.

I've lived in countries with cultures radically different to my own. Way more profound differences than those between even West Coast 'celebrity' America versus upper class England. And while I can't say I didn't make tons of faux pas, I was fully aware that I had chosen to live in a very different culture and made every effort to accommodate to that. And I didn't have an entire team of 'staff' there to help me make the adjustment.

Meghan's difficulties in adjusting to royal life had way more to do with the fact that she was American or an actress. As someone said in the thread about the Sussexes' future 'career' directions, every discussion has to take into account the fact that we are dealing with two people with obvious personality disorders.

It seems to be the american education system plays a role here - lack of critical thinking skills - which I've seen a few american mention online when the kids are in UK schools the surpise it's there.

This Australian looks into it quite deeply with fair bit of research. As she says it's not all americans but it's nearly away an American.

I do think a different american can and would have overcome the cultural differences - but Meghan didn't. A better informed spouse or one not on board with any preformed plans would have been useful here - I think Harry gets let off his input here possible because of misogyny.

I also don't think arm chair diagnosis base on media output is ever helpful- it's like the ADHD diagonsis thrown out earlier there it's offensive to those who've fought through the process and who actually have conditions and hurdles.

It's perfectly possible for people to be obnoxious arrogant bullying twats who can't handle being told no without any underlying conditions.

I am seeing more questioning about the charities they are involved in on-line - and I don't know how Birmingham will handle the games can't image they actually want to go ahead currently.

I think that the snubs / indifference from people of significance - Serena, NF guy, KC3 recently must sting deeply more so than any SM trolling as these are all her bridges to wealth and reputation which seemingly have been burned.

Add on PH Sentebale court case, ANL court case hanging and God knows what else brewing at IG - it’s just the perfect storm.

Wonder if why we haven’t seen Doria is because she is unwell? Is she in her 70s?

elessar · 11/05/2026 11:42

Obviously the candles and (limited edition) chocolates didn’t sell well because they’re still for sale, now repackaged into different bundles.

Hilariously she’s now got a “signature scent collection” of all 4 candles for $256 - so there’s absolutely no discount available for getting the bundle of all 4 vs just buying them separately. Her pricing strategy is so odd. I don’t think she understands anything about consumer buying behaviour.

elessar · 11/05/2026 11:43

Also, if Invictus implodes, Harry really is in trouble. It’s his one main charitable endeavour that is giving him a platform on the world stage and a veneer of credibility.

MyAutumnCrow · 11/05/2026 12:00

Controversy now for Misan Harriman, the Sussex chum.

Fury as arts chief 'compares Reform voters to Nazi supporters' - as he says soaring popularity of Farage's party is 'a warning'

https://www.dailymail.com/news/article-15806275/Fury-arts-chief-Reform-voters-Nazi-supporters-Farages-party.html

Lots of people understandably upset from lots of angles.

A thought:

Reform is now the largest Party on Birmingham City Council.

Is Reform being lined up to be blamed for Meghan’s non-attendance, and any subsequent failure(s) of the Invictus Games? Will M&H now ‘not feel safe’ in Birmingham because:Reform? Will all questions about H&M’s financial arrangements now be racist?

(To add: Glenn Gibbons, Sunderland Reform Councillor (now suspended), is - IMO - an absolute arsehole, in a crowded field.)

Misan Harriman, who is friends with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, also said the soaring popularity of Nigel Farage's party is 'a warning'.

I see the laser focus of attention to detail is still in full operation with this page of t-shirt sizing at the bottom of every page of the website, whoops

https://asever.com/pages/sizing-charts

The chocolates are amazingly overpriced, in my city there are at least three chocolate shops who grow, harvest and make their own chocolate and a box of ten might cost a still expensive 25-30 eur but be actually magnificent to eat. A bar of what was apparently the best chocolate in the world in 2025 is 10 eur!

I wonder if the Spencers will turn up to show support at whatever Harry has planned in July like they did previously. I guess he appreciates a bit of loyalty when it suits him.

Meanwhile Peter Phillips wedding on June 6 will be another family occasion he’s not getting invited to. In a different life Archie and Lily might well have been page boy/bridesmaid.

Spencers have no weight behind them (as far as H is concerned). He needs KC and William proximity

Is he definitely not invited to PP’s wedding?

I agree. The 'spread' and 'sprinkles' were fairly reasonably priced but the candles and especially the chocs ae outrageous! The candles are approaching Jo Malone price points for what appear to be rather generic fragrances.

And the chocolates are just ridiculous. She is partnering with Compartes, which is a company which provides chocolate for corporate events and weddings. So you'd expect a rather bland, generic product made in large quantities. Not the type of artisan, 'beans to bar' type chocolate you describe, where you know everything about the production of the product right from the start, there's a distinct flavour profile and so on. By contrast, Meghan's chocs are the equivalent of about £4 a chocolate, with no USP or other information which would persuade us to part with such a hefty sum and wait for delivery. We don't even know the cocoa %, which would be a legal requirement in Europe.

In general, As Ever seems incredibly amateurish. As someone said above, there are 'ordinary' folks with access to none of Meghan's resources who set up much more professional looking online businesses as a sideline to holding down a full time job. So much for the Duchess' self proclaimed 'attention to detail'.

Can't imagine there is a hope in hell of either Charles or William showing up in person at this. Apart from the fact that William will be metaphorically washing his hair that day 😄 I would expect both of them to be booked up way ahead for this July. Would some kind of virtual appearance or filmed speech by Charles be enough for them?

SqueakyDinosaur · 11/05/2026 13:25

But I thought this July visit is just about drumming up publicity and support for the actual Games, which aren't until July 2027? Is there actually a formal event this July?

corblimeygvnr · 11/05/2026 13:31

elessar · 11/05/2026 08:30

Totally agree @AtIusvue I was going to post something similar. The inconsistency what’s odd, but even more so when she has her Mother’s Day collection.

nothing on the Asever page either - no stories or UGC even of people enjoying their chocolates or candles (snort). I wonder if anyone bought them?!

As Ever is slowly dying. If you have a business like this where you have been touting for sales before Mother's Day then you should be posting a " Happy Mother's Day to all my customers " type thing - hope you are enjoying the candles/chocs whatever - in other words engaging with your customers. This isn't happening - last post was 6 days ago. There's no attempt at engagement. She's lost interest or the staff are not doing their job.

More on Invictus politics.

Overnight insomnia led to me reading some pretty intelligent discussion on Reddit (!) about the ‘philanthropic industrial complex’ (aka the philanthropy industry), and its relationship with corporate and celeb reputations, government funding, tax breaks, eco-washing etc.

Up till the local elections a few days ago, it was expected that Shabana Masood and Yvette Cooper (the former a Birmingham MP), who are respectively Home and Foreign Secretaries, would make the Labour government bail out Invictus with £££. There seemed to be a feeling that they were in Harry’s pocket, paying for his Ukraine trip, making sure Morgan MacSweeney was there, smoothing H’s way for their own political reasons.

Things have now changed, and are very febrile for Labour not just in Birmingham but for the Labour government and Party in general. These are troubled times for us in the UK. The King is in the ascendant as a perceived stabilising force, I suspect (whether I like it or not!)

This is why I find Misan Harriman’s perceived criticism of Reform voters to be interesting timing - and I include the appearance of the over-egged MailOnline story in that.

SqueakyDinosaur · 11/05/2026 13:38

Reform councillors in Birmingham are unlikely to want to commit large amounts of money to Invictus, I would imagine. Meanwhile, the inclusion of IDF members in Invictus is likely to be an absolute red line for the pro-Gaza independent councillors. So, as ever, M&H appear to have pissed off two opposing factions who one might reasonably expect to take up contrary position to each other!
