The ongoing dramas from Montecito courtesy of H&M.

I can’t see another thread but I made the same mistake last time …

But I thought this July visit is just about drumming up publicity and support for the actual Games, which aren't until July 2027? Is there actually a formal event this July?

Edited

I haven’t seen sight of any timetable, agenda or programme, @SqueakyDinosaur, for this July.

But if Paul Saunders is any indication of Invictus’s capabilities, it may end up being an underwhelming press conference from somewhere in Birmingham with H&M phoning it in. Maybe Shabana Masood and Lisa Nandy will be there. I think Invictus knows it has to lock in the UK government.

PullTheBricksDown · 11/05/2026 14:06

Who are pretty busy with their own troubles right now! It's not a good time for any organisation looking for a bail out.

corblimeygvnr · 11/05/2026 14:09

I've just looked at the funding and the website for Invictus. There is no timeline on it for any upcoming events. The funding seems to be an issue. There are two sponsors named - Brigantes and Better up ( well there's a surprise ) . Boeing previously a major supporter have pulled out.

What is a Chief Impact Officer ?

It’s the bloke whose existence facilitates the flow of money between BetterUp, Invictus and certain other bank accounts.

Is that spray on hair or just a touched-up photo?

Kris J has her own children to send Mother's Day wishes. Extremely odd and quite frankly creepy what Meg did. Purely another grift as Kris J obviously has something Meg needs

Did Kris Jenner reply or acknowledge Meghan's post? I do have Instagram but don't use it enough to know how to find these things out.

More on Invictus politics.

Overnight insomnia led to me reading some pretty intelligent discussion on Reddit (!) about the ‘philanthropic industrial complex’ (aka the philanthropy industry), and its relationship with corporate and celeb reputations, government funding, tax breaks, eco-washing etc.

Up till the local elections a few days ago, it was expected that Shabana Masood and Yvette Cooper (the former a Birmingham MP), who are respectively Home and Foreign Secretaries, would make the Labour government bail out Invictus with £££. There seemed to be a feeling that they were in Harry’s pocket, paying for his Ukraine trip, making sure Morgan MacSweeney was there, smoothing H’s way for their own political reasons.

Things have now changed, and are very febrile for Labour not just in Birmingham but for the Labour government and Party in general. These are troubled times for us in the UK. The King is in the ascendant as a perceived stabilising force, I suspect (whether I like it or not!)

This is why I find Misan Harriman’s perceived criticism of Reform voters to be interesting timing - and I include the appearance of the over-egged MailOnline story in that.

Yes @MyAutumnCrow - the connections between the current government and the Sussexes are interesting.

I have seen stuff on Twitter (which I do tend to be a bit cautious about as it is so factional) suggesting political and financial links between Archewell and the Centre 4 Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) set up by Morgan McSweeney.
There was also apparently Labour support for Democratic campaigns around 2020 (around the time that the Sussexes were particularly vocal about US politics).

CCDH is linked with an umbrella group of NGOs in the US (the Change the Terms coalition). The overall aim of this group seems to link in with the Sussexes' aim of controlling the media (and Harry's objection to the First Amendment).

Morgan McSweeney was also apparently in Ukraine recently at the same conference as Harry.

I have mentioned before my concerns that the government and RF were not on the same page when it came to dealing with the Sussexes, for a number of reasons.

Wow, that photo is super airbrushed. Even a full face of foundation wouldn't make him look like that. Not to mention the "hair," which so clearly does not exist in real life.

Maybe he is.

That is a very creepy photo-

if you look the hair in the middle is completely different in colour and texture to the hair on either side...

Mylovelygreendress · 11/05/2026 14:50

Is he definitely still with Better Up ?

That’s what it is!!!!!

She’s been too busy with the printing press for her new t shirt range to post a Mother’s Day message

Personally I think the slogans should Inc:

  • ILBW
  • Fucking Grifter
  • Demon in heels

She even has a kids range…but I’m not even going to go there for their slogans!!!!

https://www.dailymail.com/news/article-15807399/Is-Meghan-launch-clothing-range-Unisex-T-shirt-size-charts-mysteriously-appear-website-including-plus-size-adults.html

Oh lord no

AtIusvue · 11/05/2026 15:05

Other potential slogans:

  • First lady botherer
  • Most bullied person in the world
  • Im with the most bullied person in the world
  • Always complain and over explain
MyAutumnCrow · 11/05/2026 15:05

What’s the point of comparing it to a shirt you already own if Meg’s teeshirt measurements vary by up to 2 inches (5 cm) anyway?!

Sod that for a game of soldiers.

So we can all have that Meghan ‘fit’ of it being either too small or too big for you. Comes already creased and wrinkled for your convenience.

How ridiculous. No point having a size chart if you are told to refer to clothes you already own. Obviously they have no quality control if this even goes ahead.

As Ever is slowly dying. If you have a business like this where you have been touting for sales before Mother's Day then you should be posting a " Happy Mother's Day to all my customers " type thing - hope you are enjoying the candles/chocs whatever - in other words engaging with your customers. This isn't happening - last post was 6 days ago. There's no attempt at engagement. She's lost interest or the staff are not doing their job.

I wonder if the lack of personal Mothers' Day postings is because her comms team used to organize them and she made most of them redundant last year.

She also seems to lose interest immediately if something isn't an instant sell-out success - we never heard anything about those jam and flower boxes again after the initial adverts.

+/- 5cm is a vary big variation in size. It’s saying that eg the chest measurement of two size M t shirts could be 10cm different from each other!
