According to the Guardian, Harry will be attending the last post ceremony for Anzac Day on Saturday. I'm honestly disgusted, and I don't think BP are letting this slide, I think they are complicit.

That’s interesting as the timing of Meghan’s Best Life retreat, with all the gala stuff happening at a ridiculously early time on the Friday suggested a quick getaway to the airport on Friday evening.

Perhaps she has other plans for later on Friday night.

Just a random heckler who snuck in, shouting out 'you're trolls and you've cashed in on it' would do me Grin.

If only!

Happy to be corrected, not looked recently but I think all the trans-pacific stuff has left SYD by tea time so the theory of M skipping the Coogee event early to jump on an evening commercial flight home theory was possibly never really credible.

Anzac Day is rightly a big deal in Aus and NZ.

If he attends a parade/event as a rank and file member of the public fair enough...we can all do that.

If he's trotted out as a VIP, perhaps laying a wreath for the benefit of cameras and TV then I agree with you, BP has a problem.

I think Australia has a problem, giving official and quasi military status to a man who has no official role, anywhere.
I can't imagine the thinking.
Drawn in by the "Prince" title?

Absolutely. If, as you say, he has a VIP role, questions need to be answered. Isn't Charles the head of the armed forces of Australia? If so, why are the military chiefs allowing Harry to take part in an official ceremony? How can this look like anything other than a sanctioned royal visit?

And those joke medals he wears. For jubilees, not battles. But not his father's coronation medal.

BP need to wake up!

CathyorClaire · 16/04/2026 09:46

Massive mask slip for Henry there.

It's just dreadful, isn't it? Harry has absolutely no self reflection whatsoever, and I've no idea what those Australian Military chiefs are thinking.

How do you know the Sussex pair have landed?
The engines are off but the whining continues...

Will they ever shut the f up? 🙄

Ah, ha....Haven't heard that one used in a while but it does seem increasingly appropriate.

So that'll be Harry that did two tours of Afghanistan then but wears "joke" medals.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they are having a luxury weekend break at some 7 star barrier reef island ! Quick private jet trip.

jeffgoldblum · 16/04/2026 10:02

Sorry I’m simmering in a vat of irritation! The fact that he wasn’t allowed to keep his military dress uniform, so decided to pin his participation medals from his grandmother to his suit ( not allowed) ! Has just got right up my nose! , he’s an embarrassment!

I imagine Meghan will meet up with Markus and do more money making stuff .

I'm sure the excuse for any wreath laying will be "from Invictus" ....

BTW as an aside people are mentioning medals - objectively he's just as entitled as many to some of the gongs (e.g. any relevant Jubilee medals) and surely he's at least entitled to whatever Campaign medal got awarded for Afghanistan.

I don't think even H would wear medals for gallantary that he didn't earn.

My dh did tours of both Afghanistan and Iraq ! , normal military do not receive a medal just for showing up!!! 🙄 and the ones he’s wearing are not for that!!

What gallantry has he been rewarded for? He wore a LOT of medals. It makes a mockery of the whole system.

Then he should wear those medals and those alone, since he doesn't want to be a royal. I'm sure "Bunker Harry" is very proud of his tours and his kill count.

He shouldn't be wearing any medals for commercial gain, which is what this trip is about, money, as per the Sandringham Summit agreement. He has zero respect for his late grandmother.

I’ve been following along this thread but haven’t posted yet. I just had to say thank you @StrawberryWasp for your post. I have very young children and your post highlighted a couple things that I am going to change about my parenting (more unstructured play and outdoor time and encouraging my MIL to visit more often.)

Also spot on about the overly therapised parenting now where parents think they are doing so much better but the stats say otherwise. I’ve seen it firsthand within my local mums group and it’s shocking how unhappy so many tiny children are while their parents talk about how they are better from their own parents because “I’ve done the work.”

Sorry. It had some personal info the link about how children benefit from having grandparents in their life.

the link was from the insta page of neilkshah and

Well quite!!
but to labour the point fully, he should not be wearing medals outside of formal military events at all ! And he certainly should not be wearing them on a suit and definitely not wearing them casually arriving from a flight!!!
