Re Harry's alleged desire for a family reunion: I think that Harry lives in a fantasy world. I think he is angry with his father and brother but that he also misses them and the life he had in the UK (royal 'servants' carrying out his every wish, his former popularity). When he thinks about seeing his family I would imagine that he has daydreams of them apologising to him and saying that they understand he was only speaking 'his truth'. And then nothing actually happens because what he wants from a reunion is so far removed from what he's likely to get.

Lili and Archie privacy: I'm at a loss to understand Harry and Meghan's long-term aim when it comes to the decisions they make about their children's privacy. I wonder if perhaps there is no plan and they're making it up as they go.

Mylovelygreendress · 29/03/2026 14:11

Given that Harry is on record saying that it’s up to A and L to decide if they want to be working Royals , I agree he lives in a fantasy world!

It’s bonkers. Princess Margaret’s dcs weren’t working royals and neither are B and E. Given they currently have no relationship with their uncle, who will be on the throne when they are adults, they won’t be even be on the royal scene in the way that Zara etc are.

Money, PR, money, status, money, goodies he’s not entitled to … oh and money, other people’s money of course!

Yes , other people's money because he wants to keep all his money to give to his children.

The entitlement is breathtaking.

It’s never ending manifestation and pr leaks , and so obvious to many now that they leak this to remind us they are royal whenever anything critical comes out! 🙄

Yeah it's manifestation of what they want - just like ....

Presenting an Oscar (had to hastily arrange the 2 day Moroccan tour to cover the £90,000 she'd spent on that Dior abomination?)
Obama 60th party - not invited
Meghan's 40th Party - idea dropped and replaced with that mocking tea video
40x40 - flopped and never spoken of again
Christmas with the royals at Sandringham/Earl Spencer at Althorp
Met Gala
Face of Dior
A list actress
Bezos wedding
Duke of Westminster wedding
Trooping the Colour
Lunch with Michelle Obama
Oscars after parties - Vanity Fair/Elton John
Meghan to get Dianne Feinstein's Senate seat
Meghan at the Coronation (she even added it to her IMDB page as a "forthcoming appearance"
etc

I suspect he also has MM pecking his head for money, power, status, wealth…

What M wants, M gets.

I would imagine he’s under immense pressure and finding it hard to deliver - that will be her trigger to flounce given her pattern of behaviours in previous relationships and friendships.

Re A&L privacy - just follow the money. Happy to issue full face frontals to the worlds press for L birthday and then show A in the bath. Now she’s deploying the ‘scarcity marketing’ tactic that she applies to the UPFs and tat she sells online to her DC - slow reveal aiming to up the interest until the price is right.

If KC3 asked the Harkle’s to accompany him to Ascot, Trooping of the Colour, BP garden party etc - those kids would be front and centre without any hesitation because of $$$$s.

I think they're the type of people who want to be seen as saying and doing "the right thing". But then their pompousness, self importance and need for attention trips them up.

Like Scobie announcing they wouldn't be giving Archie a title when he was born. "They're progressive & modern & cool & unfussy".
Then insisting their kids be Prince/cess.

The no photos of our kids again seem cool and marks them out from the Waleses - "we don't parade our kids for the evil media".
Except we do when we need attention or are getting paid for it.

H&M are finding out they only get attention when they push themselves forward and put out photos.

He's the boy who bluffed and lost. He thought he would be missed. Life goes on. Years pass. People grow and move on except Harry who is locked in his self inflicted prison. I may occasionally feel a bit sorry for Meghan living with this prat - that passes though in a nano second. His bitterness seems to taint his whole life.

Any many are still sitting in the cheap seats munching popcorn as the credits roll laughing loudly at the comeuppance of the grandiose, delusional old buffoon making an absolute tit of himself on a daily basis. No tears, just ridicule for the nasty self absorbed bully.

I think the UK should introduce the constitutional conditions like Sweden has where to be in the LoS you have to have a Swedish education so you know about the history/culture of the country. Although you could argue that Harry learned very little in the UK education system, I have no clue how he thinks his Cali-raised kids would manage as 20-somethings in the UK RF.

She’ll stay for the title alone. I reckon the removal of Sarah Ferguson’s title may give pause for thought.

Well he certainly isn’t a young man - he’s middle-aged - my ‘old’ descriptor was not referring to his age - more his tiresome, worn out, buffoonish character

Thank you!

BasiliskStare · 29/03/2026 19:47

He's 41. Not old , but not young. People are pursuing careers whilst bringing up children at that age ( and younger) and doing it better than H seems to be with all his privilege.

As my granny would have said , act your age , not your shoe size. Although H may be doing both just at the moment - though as he is tall I expect his shoe size is bigger - so he may need to step up. 😂

Increasingly I think the WRF strategy of ignore is doing well. Slowly , but letting H&M show us who they are. Why on earth does H think A&L could choose to become members of the WRF. Delusional. Not his choice. But even his mother didn't think he was ever so bright and he grew up being protected , cosseted and pretty much no-one saying no to him so I can see why he's ended up as he has. Perhaps another 5 years of proper service in the WRF , with boring stuff as well as the more glamorous things might have done him a favour and tempered his more self absorbed side. Don't know. Personally I think he's turning into a bit of a joke and I'm not sure he gets it. (But that is simply my opinion - others are available. )

Totally agree, I think he thought the RF (and the general public of the U.K.) would be begging them to come back. They thought they held all the cards. Instead they got a shrug of the shoulders and a polite “off you pop then, don’t let the door hit you on the way out” and they’ve been floundering ever since, grasping at any opportunity to try and maintain relevance and earn cash.

I expect the door would have been open had they lived quietly in the US. The interview, book, tv series is what changed my mind about they ever being royals again.

I’m not sure she will - if the title doesn’t earn her $$$$s but a divorce tell-all would significantly boost her financial freedom I think she will jump ship. She’s all about the $$$$s

Equally, it seems they believed they would be feted and adored in the US, the US version of the RF, but bigger, better, more revered and popular than the OG. Despite all the support and championing they got from some very big players, nothing positive has materialized from their move to the US and from the opportunities handed to them on a silver platter. They seem to be more disliked and unpopular in the US than they even are in the UK.

I imagine they smugly thought their ‘exposé’ of the RF and the awful racist Brit’s would elicit so much sympathy for them from the public, that they would be elevated to some sort of cult hero idols, I bet they never even considered the very opposite happening, they will forever be dealing with the fall out of that.

Recklessismymiddlename · 29/03/2026 21:47

Hm not sure, possibly, but she loves the title

im a Sussex now

meghan Duchess of Sussex without caring or knowing that the divorced terminology

announcing her title to an empty room

I just a feel a bit for Harry if she does, as he’s gone scorched earth for her. I just hope she really loves him, otherwise, what was all the hurt they caused for.

I think that they had every opportunity of being feted if they had been calm, consistent, constructive and told the truth - but they unwittingly presented themselves as emotionally incontinent, histrionic, finger pointing ‘victims’ - and revealed themselves to have zero talent - as well as being the original, grandiose, delusional and brittle hustlers and bully’s as reported by many unfortunate staff, associates and colleagues who had the misfortune to cross their paths.

Other than that they could have cleaned up.

DancingFerret · 29/03/2026 23:56

Basically, neither have much to offer.

H got lucky by accident of birth (and the RF got lucky that he was the second-born).

M made her own luck by attaching herself to people capable of helping her climb the ladder of success, e.g., Trevor Engelson, the husband who helped her onto the cast of Suits and who was swiftly discarded when H appeared in the scene, and Markus Anderson who reputedly introduced her to H.

HeddaGarbled · 30/03/2026 00:35

Basically, neither have much to offer

Genuinely, I think this is it.

He’s royal, she’s good-looking. They both have a superficial charm which they can deploy in short bursts but can’t sustain.

They were given so many opportunities but they just weren’t good enough.

When one of their many deals got cancelled, someone said something like: turns out Meghan isn’t an audio talent, or any sort of talent at all. And that’s the problem, for both of them.
