How can she take the business global? She has no staff left and no NF staff.

On the As ever website, there hasn’t been a press release since last July!

Wow! That’s pretty shocking, I’m surprised it hasn’t had more coverage.

No wonder rent a royal Harry has popped up to offer his services. Honestly I think it’s disgraceful he was asked and even worse that he accepted - firstly because he should have the respect to steer clear from what would normally be supported by the royals and some consideration that it’s not appropriate, secondly because it proves once again what a hypocrite he is - wasn’t it only last year he was over in Ukraine meeting injured soldiers and sympathising with their cause?

but he's so desperate to appear important that he simply doesn’t care. Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised to see him turning up on behalf of any corrupt regime in the world if they made him feel important enough. He has no shame, and it’s yet another example as to why his titles should be pulled.

He’s a loose cannon at this point! , did he learn nothing from his channel 4 cock up? 🙄

bluegreygreen · 07/03/2026 10:50

It’s not like Netflix are some tinpot, low ambition company. If a global, billion dollar corporation doesn’t think you should be expanding globally, then it’s for very good reason.

Agree, @elessar. Netflix is obviously the expert here.

RicketySplit · 07/03/2026 10:58

elessar · 07/03/2026 10:26

I think it’s laughable that she’s trying to spin this as Netflix being too cautious and holding her back.

The only way there’s even a shred of truth in that is if she’s been pushing to “go global” and Netflix have said it’s a terrible idea, the economics won’t stack up and they won’t support it.

It’s not like Netflix are some tinpot, low ambition company. If a global, billion dollar corporation doesn’t think you should be expanding globally, then it’s for very good reason.

All the signs are there that As Ever is foundering.

Meghan doesn’t have a global audience anyway. She’s mostly known in the US and in the U.K., she’s not popular in either country but does have a dedicated following of super fans but they’re not going to be enough to make her fortune. I don’t think she’s remotely thought through the costs, logistics, or regulatory requirements to sell or ship internationally, and by all accounts she doesn’t have a team around her capable of pulling this together for her. I think she’s just clutching at straws because the business is failing - and I suspect she’s thinks having a “global” operation will be more attractive for a future investor.

So the Royal Family were holding her back.

Then Netflix were holding her back.

It's so hard on poor Meghan, constantly being involved with these big organisations that give her funding, opportunities and publicity. No wonder her ventures kept failing.

Thank goodness she has finally Found Freedom (again) and we can all watch her soaring away by the power of her own immense talents...

AtIusvue · 07/03/2026 11:02

NF obviously understand they won’t be getting their money back either.

They must know, that when this info went public, that it would kill off As ever.

Why not just sit back and skim whatever profits came their way? Why did they have to publicly end it?

Im guessing because they aren’t willing to cover the costs and put more money into the business( now that they have the data/sales figures), because it’s showing the business isn’t viable.

There’s no way Meg can cover the costs to scale up the business. Maybe that’s why NF pulled out- because thats the supposed next phase. If NF aren’t willing to invest the money for scaling up….no one else will.

Found you all! Obviously, this is great news for Meghan and the brand without Netflix holding her back, lol...

Meghan's lifestyle brand As ever and Netflix end partnership

The Duchess of Sussex will run As ever independently, after a partnership with Netflix helped to launch the brand last year.

It’s just narcissistic grandiosity on a huge scale isn’t it? Does Harry actually believe her crap I wonder…

Edited

I think he has to, or he would fall apart.

When he finally does see it, and hits rock bottom, he’s going to start lashing out. Maybe this is why Pa / the royal family have kept funding them on the quiet - it’s a meltdown prevention programme.

Do we have any ideas when this might happen? Been waiting for six years already, so I'd hate to miss it but I do have the dentist next Wednesday. If she could hold off till Thursday I'd appreciate it.

Where are all the posters who claimed that H and M are living their best lives , are billionaires and people are queuing up to work with them ?

Waiting for the cheque to clear?

Guest385 · 07/03/2026 11:24

the para Olympics message from H was this just to British athletes? More cosying up to the UK??

Yes, I agree. and I think Sarandos has been doing her a personal favour, she even mentions their ‘personal friendship’ in her statement, however using shareholders money to prop us a friends business is a very short lived endeavor if that business is sinking fast. It’s not a good look for him.

Thedom · 07/03/2026 11:33

She should have kept the ‘personal friendship’ out of that statement, it’s so unprofessional, but it’s another example of how she utilizes connections to promote herself.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 07/03/2026 11:37

AtIusvue · 06/03/2026 23:47

If NF haven’t been that involved for the last 6 months…..then that takes you to Sept last year…..when we found out that they got dropped by NF. So must have happened at the same time.

This is also why the foundation etc disappeared. There’s been no NF money since last year.

Sounds about right, Atlusvue
Despite the pretence that the "first look deal" was something rather marvelous it was always obvious the end had come with Netflix - the latest news merely confirming it

Puzzledandpissedoff · 07/03/2026 12:09

The thing about Russian paralympians being allowed to compete under their own flag was on the BBC news last night, @ShamedBySiri, and while I don't know what the IOC are playing at I expect money has changed hands somewhere ... after all neither are strangers to corruption

I'm kind of hoping that Harry doesn't weigh in on the flag issue too, but his mouth seems so far beyond control that there's no knowing

GoldBthehypo · 07/03/2026 12:19

elessar · 07/03/2026 08:08

What business does he have doing that?! Shouldn’t any message come from a working member if the RF?!

All I saw.was he sent a message to one particular athlete who started off in his invictus games and who now made team gb in the paraolympics so I can see why he would s end a message to that particular athlete

Not sure abojt the pp statement he is doing it for all athletes as that isn't what ive seen

It surely must have dawned on him by now that he was hooked by a grifter.

Pleasealexa · 07/03/2026 12:48

I'm starting to feel a teeny bit sorry for them. A case of hubris. Two very average people who happened to be linked to an important institution, which they thought meant they were special.

Had they stayed longer in the RF and planned an exit strategy with the help of the Palace staff they might have got further.

I suspect the titles will go at some stage so they will be just another middle aged, middle class couple with 2 kids.

I don't think another Royal secrets tour will work in their favour as they are no longer seen as credible or as the victims of the nasty Royals.

TheAutumnCrow · 07/03/2026 13:29

H&M got involved in political positions from the start, and all the ‘global’ humbug that came with that.

Remember them standing with Ukraine four years ago? They thought they were bossing the world.

Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and all of us at Archewell stand with the people of Ukraine against this breach of international and humanitarian law and encourage the global community and its leaders to do the same’ (Feb 2022).

The ‘encourage the global community and its leaders’ part managed to be simultaneously offensive, hilariously entertaining and psychologically compelling.

Such grandiose statements, as though from a nation state’s presidential office, needed slapping down by the royal family at the time.

Mylovelygreendress · 07/03/2026 13:42

I am losing track ……what does Archewell do now ?

Perhaps this statement was made around the time he suggested the televised therapy session with Putin?? A little bit of therapy could uncover Putin's demons and right the world.

Ceased to exist.

It’s now morphed into something called ‘Archewell Philanthropies’ with fiscal rules that better benefit the Sussexes, apparently.

My2cents1975 · 07/03/2026 14:01

I am not surprised.

With the collapse of the entertainment/spread empire it seems H&M are leaning into the rent-a-royal model as seen in the grifters getaway to Jordan. H is happily engaging in "FA" and is thereby accelerating the date when he arrives at "FO".

I have always said that H would eventually create a diplomatic mess too big for KC3 to contain and given H's current trajectory, I stand by this forecast.

Netflix does not exist to provide free financial support for H&M. So, it is not surprising that Netflix dropped this non-performing duo and will re-allocate Netflix resources previously provided to H&M (production, marketing, etc.) to other profit generating projects.

What is surprising is that Sunshine Sachs permitted such an ungracious response from H&M. Lashing out at Netflix is the worst move possible and not only torches bridges with Netflix but also alienates potential investors who see H&M bad-mouthing Netflix despite all the resources CEO Ted provided to H&M.

Being associated with such unprofessional public statements seriously damages the Sunshine Sachs brand...which is image management. IMHO, Sunshine Sachs is either sending the Z-team to babysit H&M or has possibly fled the burning building!

I lost you all! Have just caught up

Over on X/Twitter - a lot of chatter about the fact that several accounts that deal in RF-related gossip have been suspended (I believe through mass reporting). This is being attributed to Montecito machinations.

The nitter/X that have been posted earlier in the thread no longer work, so I can believe this.

‘personal friendship’ in her statement, however using shareholders money to prop us a friends business is a very short lived endeavor if that business is sinking fast. It’s not a good look for him.

I don't agree, it is playing the long game- If they divorce NF would want first look, that would be a very lucrative program for NF (although this will decrease as more time passes)
