Makes a good headline though. DM know what they're doing by praising the Sussexes. Apparently success/hyped numbers can be followed by the takedown later. It's all clicks to them.

Actually, to me, massive unsold stock figures look bad, not good - especially with perishable goods! But yes, bigger numbers in general always look more impressive. After all, a company with "21 million dollars" in stock must be a major business, right?!

But so often (with loads of stuff, not just As Ever) the big numbers are based on somebody's inflated valuation of their own stuff.

You see it on here with the "£500 of baby clothes to be won!" etc. How much did those clothes actually cost the company that's giving them away? Would they really, really all have sold at full price? It's the DFS Sale all over again.

Over on X/Twitter - a lot of chatter about the fact that several accounts that deal in RF-related gossip have been suspended (I believe through mass reporting). This is being attributed to Montecito machinations.

Another account - one highly critical of Meghan - claims that Sunshine Sachs tried to buy their account off them but they refused.

I was reading that and I recall an account which used to be very pro W and C but it suddenly became pro H and M and anti W and C . The rumour was that their account was bought .

Ooooh.

How the plot thickens … I wonder if I’ve got some time to waste today pimbling about on You Tube?

If your pimpling (love that word - never heard it before but know immediately what it means!) throws anything up, do tell!

I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm going self-employed and am very conscious that the difference between my advertised rate and what that actually means on a practical level needs to really well thought through.

I know that to a certain extent you have to fudge your explanations in order for them to resonate with the public/your clients.

But As Ever doesn't have the luxury of small scale anonymity.

AtIusvue · 05/03/2026 12:35

The bundles of items is how we know the stock isn’t shifting.

A while back, when there was a glitch on the As ever site …I recorded the number of items shifted over a 48 hr period. It was only 100ish individual items. It must have been on thread 1 or 2 of this running thread.

We also now know, that As ever had their highest traffic in January. So arguably the sales numbers would be even lower for November and December.

This also works out when trying to do some figures. That 80000 US hits, could translate to 1200- 1600 transactions a month.

That could mean that there are 40 transactions a day. The number of individual items over that period I recorded in January, was around 50ish a day. That doesn’t work out exactly, as I’m sure most sales include more than one item but it’s a rough indication that it’s in the right area.

Long and short of it. She isn’t shifting huge numbers. If she isn’t shifting huge numbers, she won’t get into stores. If she can’t get into stores, then As ever is All over.

It was quoted in the link that someone posted below. It was calculated when the website accidentally revealed her stock levels a little while back.

Ys, and I explained why it was based on inaccurate information.

I’m afraid my pimbling about on You Tube hasn’t yielded anything much to report that’s new. We seem to be ahead of the game already on these threads!

I’ve a few more videos to watch, though. DP thinks I’m deranged because I’m supposed to be finishing a freelance job, but I can do that tonight. I’m more of a night owl really. That’s my excuse anyway.

Cookie Queens still doesn’t have a distributor then? M&H are the kiss of death to any project. As Ever.

Much derision on X for her latest half hearted attempt to flog the jam spread unsold stock. At this point I don’t know why she is even bothering. Tarnished spoons of goo. 🤦‍♀️
Asever official has just 880k followers - I don’t often take a look but I feel like the numbers have gone down, didn’t it manage to top 1million in early days?

So many people I can think of who may be fairly niche and not that well known who still have way more than 1m followers. Someone probably no one here has heard of, CallieColes who posts gorgeous lifestyle in Devon, clips of her horses and children, ponies, pets, her block prints and now she has a book out. 1.1m followers. But you have to work at it, frequent new content, chats, beautiful setting up for the shots eg she often has the kids’ ponies randomly wandering into the kitchen to join in the fun of breakfast or whatever. If you don’t know anything about horses it will escape notice but the ponies are always nicely groomed and clean when they “wander” in, one of them is clipped out so would wear a rug and be stabled overnight, someone has taken the rug off and brushed out any straw or shavings in his tail etc. From comments many people seem to think random ponies wandering into the house is the real deal, of course it’s not, it takes work, but it’s very alluring and beautiful.

I literally read

"Raspberry for depth and gentle fartness"

😂

AtIusvue · 05/03/2026 16:37

No to Cookie Queens too.

If NF was a first look deal like they say….why didn’t NF pick up CQ? Or have they already rejected it?

I don’t think they’ve got any deal with NF.

I think they have a first look deal, it's just Netflix aren't looking the look of anything and passing.

Well that's not a surprise is it ?

Lunde · 05/03/2026 18:46

Didn't they also have a project in development about Miss Havisham as some sort of feminist visionary? Or did I just dream that?

Puzzledandpissedoff · 05/03/2026 18:57

No you didn't imagine it, @Lunde: https://www.townandcountrymag.com/society/tradition/a44345407/prince-harry-meghan-markle-bad-banners-great-expectations-prequel-news/

Trouble is, things like this require professionals to come onboard to make them work, and there don't seem to be many prepared to work with them any more ... not even a decent photographer to make more of the shot with grubby spoons and runny jam

IMHO, the move to have PR (Sunshine Sachs or super fans) report aggressively to suspend against big accounts that deal in RF gossip will backfire.

People who have no care for either side will see accounts being shut down and now it will turn into a freedom of speech issue. Add in the Streisand effect as people look to see why these accounts were suspended and some accounts may return to social media with even more of a following.

This strategy of mass reporting and suspending "unfriendly" accounts was tried before. And failed before. So, it is rather strange that H&M's PR is reactivating a failed strategy.

BemusedAmerican · 06/03/2026 06:01

Yes, they had Nancy Sidley' s X account shut down. While I personally find Nancy abrasive, the money from her YouTube channel goes to animal rescue. She's paid for medical treatment and for animals to be removed from kill shelters. She is also careful not to say anything that can get her sued.

It's disgusting that they went after someone whose main focus in life is animal rescue.

Thedom · 06/03/2026 07:25

That’s interesting, to be fair some of those accounts were quite cruel and there are accounts that are pretty vicious and defamatory about William and Catherine, wonder if they were shut down too.?

JSMill · 06/03/2026 08:02

I can’t believe they are able to do that. I have seen plenty of horrible things said about W and C. How come they are able to ignore those accounts but not H and M. Nancy Sidley wasn’t even nasty.

jeffgoldblum · 06/03/2026 08:23

Mass reporting isn’t only used on x!!!

So she’s been dropped! 😂

‘But insiders say Montecito-based Meghan, 44, is relieved to be able to “go it alone” after fearing As ever was being “held back” by “cautious” Netflix.’

As if she was held back by a multi billion pound company!!!!

They obviously seen there was no money in As ever

AtIusvue · 06/03/2026 17:35

So NF, that is a global company…….was holding Megs from going worldwide?!!!!

‘A source said: “Meghan is still on good terms with the Netflix team and close personal friends with Ted (Sarandos) so hasn’t wanted to upset him, but is very happy to have full control of the company.
“It’s a good time for Meghan to have complete control, given recent successes.
“Netflix have been a good partner, but she’s wanted to go global with the brand for some time, but has been held back by the more cautious Netflix team.”’
