This time to Jordan. What do they bring to it, exactly? What is their role? To bring attention to the issue of Syrian refugees? Jordan is dealing with them fine.

What are they there for? In what capacity?

Harry and Meghan land in Jordan as they begin two-day visit

Prince Harry and Meghan today began a busy two-day visit to Jordan - one of Prince William and Kate's favourite countries - as they met people working with refugees.

I’m curious as to why you believe the monarchy should be abolished but put up such a spirited defence of an individual who not only believes in the privilege of the monarchy but who has no outside knowledge or talent without it?

I really do think that we need to abolish the monarchy - and we see now with the removal of AMW titles that it is possible to un prince a blood prince.

So for PH - I am agnostic about his title in the sense that he has left any official role and is now a citizen, trying to figure things out.

I personally think that took courage.

I keep in mind that he was not prepared in any way for a life outside of being a prince.

Ignorance is no defence against doing questionable things.

Excellent job I say. If I was the boss of the person who got them on board I would give them a promotion!

I remember you posting something similar before the republican who thinks Harry should be given a grander title and a huge chunk of cash.

Edited

As I said on another thread , the amount of true republicans vs h and m fans is rather woeful, and they always slip up with the “good king Harry “ rubbish.

Yet post after post defending their Royal Highnesses! ahh things never change with the “republicans” As ever! 😂

Actually, I have never defended any royals for their right to be royal.

I think that personal attacks don't help any argument.

I also think they ethically wrong.

With that in mind, I don't defend PH as a royal.

I do defend his right to walk away, and try something new.

In the context of his birth, I admire his effort and find him to be sincere.

I can think of about three posters who actually are republicans, the rest of them just seem to hate every royal but worship at the alter of Harry and Meghan, it’s most odd.

That was not me @Longshinyhair

At least, I don't think it was me.

I do not think PH should have a bigger title or a big chunk of cash?

I would like the cash.

And long shiny hair for that matter!

I think that personal attacks don't help any argument.

You do this every time you venture onto these threads, claim posters are personally attacking you, no one has done that.

I find him most insincere, a very questionable memory and as arrogant and self Serving as every other royal , although he does get an honourable mention for talking to bins , mentioning his and his brothers penis and traumatising the nation by making us link his mother to him rubbing Elizabeth Arden cream onto himself while reminiscing about her!

I am not sure how you got to "good king Harry"?

I am a republican.

I have not slipped up.

I do not hate PH.

I also do not hate KC, QC, PoW, PoW, D of E, D of E, D of E, PA and so on.

@Longshinyhair

Not personal attacks against me.

Personal attacks against PH and MM.

By that I mean when their person is degraded - slagging off his bald spot or diagnosing her various personality disorders and so on.

Argue against their mode of being, how they earn their money, even their existence, but those personal attacks are, in my opinion, beyond the pale.

And just to be clear - I have never once, in twenty years on Mumsnet, accused anyone of personally attacking me.

Have either of us said these things ( or any other poster for that matter) on this thread?
no we haven’t, I fail to see the relevance.

They could go protest against the treatment of migrants by ICE in their own beloved city of LA.

They don't live in LA @BemusedAmerican ?

How does one go about being recognised as a “true republican”? 😬

I’m a republican - couldn’t care less about M&H but find the double standards of so many royalists intriguing. The “lazy grifters” argument applies to all the royals.

But the ultimate need to get rid of them is just that it’s all an anachronistic nonsense 🤷‍♀️

A true republican wants the whole monarchy abolished and doesn’t campaign for certain members to get a bigger slice of the pie , they certainly don’t declare that they are looking forward to the coronation of “ good king Harry” !
