This time to Jordan. What do they bring to it, exactly? What is their role? To bring attention to the issue of Syrian refugees? Jordan is dealing with them fine.

What are they there for? In what capacity?

Harry and Meghan land in Jordan as they begin two-day visit

Prince Harry and Meghan today began a busy two-day visit to Jordan - one of Prince William and Kate's favourite countries - as they met people working with refugees.

20 years in the states eh!
well of course you must know more than @BemusedAmerican, an American who was born, grew up and lived her whole life there!

I missed your previous posts but I would hazard a guess that this is why you have been deleted.

According to the BBC “The couple, who stepped down as working royals in 2020, have travelled to Amman at the invitation of Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, director-general of the World Health Organization (WHO).”

Someone should give them a post it note and ask them to write down the name of the DG of WHO who invited them. Something along the lines of "sorry I missed the name of the DG, can you write it down for me so I can report it accurately". 😉

SimplyT · 26/02/2026 18:25

Anyone who has lived in the US would know most Americans class a 3 hour drive as short, so 90 miles is nothing, even in LA, particularly if you have a driver doing the driving and you are doing it outside of rush hour traffic, sitting comfortably in the rear, and 90 miles is nothing at all if you have a Heli picking you up from down the road.

I wonder if it was the same type of invitation that Meghan received to attend the Balenciaga fashion show ie she invited herself .

I watch a few American YouTubers who post about life in the UK as an American, they all find it amusing that what us Brits class as long distance is just a regular drive to them!

Have you met them ? Anyone can say anything on here so unless you know then personally you can't say with conviction that what they say is really true.

Harry on Channel 4 now with ‘Dr Tedros’ of WHO, responding to C4 on Gaza. Pretty political stuff.

I wonder how the Israel IDF Invictus contingent and its government will react.

Goodness.

That's what I was thinking about last night- the upcoming Invictus. He needs to tread carefully.

Really! , how political?
offending Israel and its invictus competitors political?
or I’m going to cause a political crisis that will engulf the RF and U.K. political?
either way this is exactly why he should not be there!

That sounds even more unwise than not vetting a youth charity properly.

For clarity, I saw the post where I was sworn at, but didn't report it, and have been away from the boards so missed any other deleted posts.

I missed the deleted posts! , you were sworn at? 😡

Oh no! I go to dinner and the thread gets exciting. I have serious FOMO…

Not2identifying · 26/02/2026 20:15

People often say we're too critical of H&M but I feel slightly protective of them and feel dismay at the thought of them wading into Israel/Palestine issues.

They absolutely do have a high enough profile that safety should be a consideration for them, even if I don't think the UK taxpayer should have to pay to protect them living a jet set lifestyle, and some restraint would really go a long way to a happy and safe life for them.

canklesmctacotits · 26/02/2026 20:15

After the “I can’t believe I’m not getting paid for this” comment on the Australia royal tour, I think we can safely assume she’s getting paid in cash or exposure for this little visit. Sunshine Sachs’s job being to hook their clients up with such gigs with this very NGO might be the tell.

Well Harry and Meghan are writing post it notes today. Must be short of bananas.

What a load of shite 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Puzzledandpissedoff · 26/02/2026 20:23

It's very clear in every public appearance that she is acutely aware of where the camera is and is angling towards it

Yes, and I find the camera-hungry eyes and almost manic attention to finding the lens painful, @bluegreygreen
They say the best acting's invisible, and unfortunately that seems to be yet another talent she lacks

As for comments on Gaza - a difficult subject at the best of times - this is precisely why Harry can't be trusted to represent anyone as long as he lets his mouth run away with him

Yet again we have to wonder what insights dim, cossetted and undeservedly platformed royals ex or not could possibly have to add to, well, 'most anything let alone a hot political mess.

They were similar to that

I like to thank everyone who defended me earlier. I grew up on the East coast, lived in 2 states of the West Coast for five years, then moved back east.

I know many people who changed coasts, states, etc.

Also, the US is much bigger than the UK. Distances are greater. People are willing to travel. People have come from all over NY state as well as neighboring states for protests.

I know, I have a friend who drives from Boston to meet me for lunch in NY when I am there, she then drives back to Boston after lunch, it’s nothing to her. Another friend who drives from Santa Barbara to Lake Tahoe for a weekend skiing, (8+ hours each way), In a lot of places in ‘Europe if you drove 5hrs you would be in a different country

Harry hasn’t given a flying fuck for six years. He welcomed the Israel IDF to the Invictus Games with open arms and will again next year in Birmingham in the UK, where he’ll expect heavy duty armed security at taxpayers’ expense.
