This time to Jordan. What do they bring to it, exactly? What is their role? To bring attention to the issue of Syrian refugees? Jordan is dealing with them fine.

What are they there for? In what capacity?

Harry and Meghan land in Jordan as they begin two-day visit

Prince Harry and Meghan today began a busy two-day visit to Jordan - one of Prince William and Kate's favourite countries - as they met people working with refugees.

Although I have.

Well then you know what I am talking about.

And of you have, why did you need Google maps?

Just curious.

corblimeyguvnr · 26/02/2026 17:34

Look @andIsaid we all know about bad traffic 🙄 😂

More than that I am afraid...

That is one of the problems when it's a publicity stunt rather than a formal Royal tour @ThePoshUns - there's a certain amount of background work, but not to the same level (it also, of course, depends on co-operation of the principals).

It's also being shown at the moment with multiple questions online about the suitability of the youth charity they went to visit - there are commentators pointing out that several of their staff have been involved in public support of Hamas on multiple occasions. Again, unwise, the sort of thing that would have been checked out for any official visit - and probably not something that the Sussexes would have considered in advance.

A bit like the nasty comments of a fan of theirs that were deleted by Mumsnet?

Seriously - you are going to link them with terrorists now?

There is a moral bankruptcy here that is jaw dropping.

Whether they lived near or far they were still disaster tourists

bluegreygreen · 26/02/2026 17:40

@andIsaid No, I'm saying that their staff (their own or the PR company) haven't done the depth of background work for this trip as would be done for an official royal visit, so they are falling into problems that they wouldn't anticipate.

Agree the point is they went and embraced a member of their own team for the shots.

@BemusedAmerican has posted previously about where else other than NY she has lived in the US, so I’d row back on the “bollocks’ accusations @andIsaid - you surely don’t want a repeat of thread where MN had to speak to you about your posting and warned you of a possible ban do you?

I always said AMW can rest easy, he has nothing to worry about. claws only come out when H&M breathe lol

Nonsense . Have you not read the posts about the odious AMW ?

I also recall M visiting Uvalde and checking camera positions .
Mind numbingly tone deaf .

I read a blog post written by her once - I think an old one from The Tig - where she tells of advice from her father about 'knowing where (her) light comes from' or words to that effect.

It's very clear in every public appearance that she is acutely aware of where the camera is and is angling towards it.

This is in contrast to the advice generally given to Royals (as exemplified by Prince Philip) so was probably another way she struggled to fit in to life as a working royal.

That’s interesting, she is very good at it. I mean it’s not subtle, you can see what her thought is for each shot but it makes for a good photo.

That was pretty disgusting. Visit to comfort the relatives by all means but leave the camera crew behind

I don’t think it actually makes a good photo, it doesn’t do her any favours looking at the camera and posing, it just shows she is being fake and self serving, people can see right through it and just makes her more unlikeable.

I imagine you have been deleted for breaking talk guidelines,
its also against guidelines to harangue posters and accuse them of reporting you.
