I said this on the other thread......

Who is going to pay for his legal team now?
Presumably he does not qualify for legal aid? (Just kidding)

His children? Those he could implicate who don't want him too?

roses2 · 19/02/2026 10:52

Serpentstooth · 19/02/2026 10:49

He'll be in Saudi as soon as he's bailed. Oh dear, sorry, no extradition from there. Presumably, Mrs Fergie is already there, scrounging up a future. What a pair.

He is useless now to anyone as previously he was able to sell his connections and now he can't. Surely no one, even in Saudi, will want a useless scrounger?

God I wish Virginia was still alive to see this.

What a fierce and fearless giant killer she was Flowers

I think they are going for what they can prove easily and prosecute him for

the stuff with Epstein would be a lot harder to prove as VG is dead and it would be his word against a dead woman’s

Pity we don’t have the Tower anymore

We do. Conveniently near a tube station.

I’m not sure you can be arrested for having sex with a minor in another country, especially as over the age of consent here. I am also not sure they can prove it as he keeps saying he didn’t, as he would and Virgina took the pay out, to not proceed further,

what they have done though is hugely serious and carries a much heavier tariff,

Virginia Giuffre alleged in court documents and her 2025 posthumous memoir that she had sexual encounters with Prince Andrew at Ghislaine Maxwell’s mews house in London. Giufre was under the age of consent in her country, she was trafficked from the USA to have sex with Andrew and others.

She was paid an estimated $12m in a settlement by the late Queen and Andrew

That's so true. I wish she could have seen this, even though it's not about crimes against her, it would have been satisfying.

Yes yes yes to this.

And it's about time the Royal Reporters looked for other jobs. I'm sick to death of the Royals and the sycophants. Pages of pathetic reporting about Kate's clothes, her hair, William and his school run, it's beyond a joke. We need a complete reset. And to stop all this arse licking. They are just human beings like us, but in a completely dysfunctional operation designed to provide them with riches beyond comprehension and a licence to do exactly what they want, with no redress.
Our successive governments are just as bad.

QE2 knew what was going on, she kicked the can down the road, and now Charles is landed with it.

Edited

Wouldn't it be interesting if royal reporters started emphasising the reporter part of their job and asked questions about the things that do need reform in the institution?

I'm hearing that all of his personal records currently at Windsor Lodge and a nearby storage unit are being seized for analysis. Also that police now have access to the email account that was used for direct communication with Epstein.

The RF will certainly have known this was coming, OriginalLillibet - for a start the police couldn't have accessed the estate without Charles's permission - so if there's anything significant left for them to seize I'll be most surprised

Remembering the farcical Burrell trial, Charles is on record for telling the investigators that he wanted it "shut down", and I see no reason to belieeve he'll feel any differently about this

likelysuspect · 19/02/2026 10:36

Of course they're not a close family, do they seem like a close family to you?

No, but they like to pretend they are when it comes to the photo ops.

JingsMahBucket · 19/02/2026 10:55

JustAnotherWhinger · 19/02/2026 10:40

This is great news.

Misconduct in a public office might actually be more likely to see him convicted than anything related to his hideous behaviour toward women.

With sex trafficking would be incredibly difficult to prove that he had any knowledge that the women were trafficked. And unless they can find proof of sex with anyone under 16 they’ll not get him on the minor aspect (as vile as someone his age having sex with 17 year olds is it’s not actually illegal).

Misconduct in a public office also carries some hefty sentences - it’s not a light charge if he faces charges of that.

I bet there are a fair number of people who thought their positions and/or titles made them untouchable sweating a bit today!

It doesn’t matter their age. Having sex with a trafficked person is illegal whether you know they’re trafficked or not. Also, the jurisdiction in the US where some of this allegedly happened does recognize those victims as minors so that’s a double whammy.

💯

I hope Andrew and Ghislaine rue the day they messed with Virginia.

I really hope they've done that deliberately🤞

Seems like it’s happened on his birthday too!

My cousin had her first baby 66 years ago today, the same day as HM's third baby was born. We got an announcement card a couple of days later that she, my cousin, was calling him Andrew, she was furious when HM announced her baby's name a few weeks later, my cousin was told by many people that she copied HM!

InMyOodie · 19/02/2026 10:56

I wonder are they just charging him with this as a sop to the public, and will then turn a blind eye to whatever horrors went on with children supplied to him by Epstein.

Charles told what investigators he wanted what shut down?

I think he’s been arrested on the slightly blander (but still quite hefty!) offence of MIAPO, but they will be using the opportunity of having him in custody to question him intensively about the trafficking via Stansted etc. I think he’s comprehensively fucked this time tbh.

Thank you for mentioning this.

I think a few posters need to catch up with the sex trafficking links to AMW that have been emerging over the past 10 days.

It looks like he was directly involved in sex trafficking in the UK, US and Thailand, for starters. I daresay he’ll argue that he was too thick to realise it. ‘I just wanted to make Jeffrey like me because he gave Sarah and the girls lots of money’.

The charges were laid in the USA where those actions are against the law.

ETA: charges not laid, but that's what the victims were campaigning for. I don't think there's an equivalent law in the UK.

Good. About time.

CatchTheWind1920 · 19/02/2026 10:57

Happy birthday, dickhead!

MargoLivebetter · 19/02/2026 10:58

I hope Peter Mandelson is next on the list. Obviously the mistreatment, abuse and untold horrors against women is beyond appalling but selling your country for cash for your own use is right up there for me too. So many self-serving men in this revolting saga.

Also, how the fuck is no one being arrested in the US? This still boggles my mind. There is currently only one person in jail for this whole sorry tale and that is a woman!!!!!

Dream on, MrsLF ... if they dared to do that they'd be straight off the royal beat, though maybe only after a collective Windsor shudder that the "little people" would presume to question them

Absolutely. Useless bunch of sycophants. There was one Royal correspondent on the BBC who said this would help the RF because they had been under suspicion of covering for AMW for 15 and now thats not the case. Tess Dunlop (A Royal historian) shut that down pretty quickly. She pointed out they let AMW lie at Buckingham Palace ( she didnt mention allow him to run his shady charity and put @Palace in the name, after being told time and again that he was behaving inapproporiately as Trade Envoy) and they have 'walked on by' for 15 years. All of them. Even the younger generation are now well into their 40's so were long into adulthood throughout this.
