@hedgeknight It was an interview for Swedish TV - reported by Sky News

https://archive.is/XF03M (scroll down to the first item - it's an archive link of Sky's rolling news page).

Thanks.

That one woman in prison is Maxwell, not exactly an innocent.

The Clintons have said they will testify.

I know this is a serious matter....but this is hilarious

AI is seriously scarily realistic now.

It's frightening how realistic it is

I thought Boris Johnson had once said that dealing with Prince Andrew was the one thing that made him consider republicanism? 🤣

Yes. BJ told Tina Brown that if he ever had to sit through a lunch with Prince Andrew again he would become a republican.

DH wonders whether the officers who arrested AMW were plainclothed as he might have thought a uniformed officer was a stripper for his birthday present. DH might have a point. Can you imagine the scenario?

Iamacatslave · 19/02/2026 19:24

He has been released….

Iamacatslave · 19/02/2026 19:24

He has been released….

I think this happens a lot and they then arrest again a couple of days later 🤞

MrsLeonFarrell · 19/02/2026 19:28

My understanding was that they arrested him to get access to his property and files etc It will probably take time to analyse what they have found. I hope they take their time to build the case.

So well known you don’t know his name. And no, I don’t need to dig out morbid photos to satisfy your curiosity, I am not interested enough in anyone’s opinion to do that, let alone a conspiracy theorist who thinks JE is alive 🤣.

Edited

As you can see in my posts on here I've not been rude to anyone - if you want to call me a conspiracy theorist then I'm pleased I don't need to speak to you in RL. One thing I'm not is someone who spouts disrespect from behind a screen.

jeffgoldblum · 19/02/2026 15:08

Are you seriously asking another poster to post pictures of a corpse on Mumsnet so you can invite others to inspect it closely to further your conspiracy theory?
for shame, have you any idea how morbid and unsuitable that is?
any idea how much that would upset a lot of people?
not to mention it’s completely against guidelines and the picture wouldn’t make it past the inspection process!

Yep, point taken. Was having a shit, busy day and didnt think about what I was posting. Apologies everyone.

LittleGreenDuck · 19/02/2026 19:34

Just saw the photo of him in the car after being released. He looks like a man whose chickens have come home to roost.

Yes agreed! Less haste more speed, get it right rather than quickly!

And he has a bogie up his nose.

He looks like he has befallen the fate of Edward II.

LittleGreenDuck · 19/02/2026 19:41

And who has collected him? BBC reporting that he was collected in a black Range Rover. I thought he had no money / staff / protection now? I was hoping he’d be shown out of the front door and directed to the bus stop.

Well, I'm hoping that he might flip on all the other powerful people he was partying with so I'd rather he was kept safe from any 'accidents' or 'suicide' attempts.

Serenster · 19/02/2026 19:50

Iamacatslave · 19/02/2026 19:24

He has been released….

Yes, this is perfectly normal in complex cases. The police have executed search warrants, will have interviewed Andrew under caution and will now continue with their investigation. The fact he has been realeased, and I presume not charged with anything at this stage does not mean he won’t be charged at a later stage.

@Unicorn34
I have seen many corpses in open coffins. Not one has had their eyes and mouths sewn shut.

They use internal stitches , so not visible and they use glue to close eyelids.

Police will have taken him home, but he will have security and he will have money, just not millions,

We're all conspiracy theorists now, Unicorn; and are all having our boundaries of what constitutes "normal" fiercely redefined atm.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 19/02/2026 19:57

So what's to stop him asking someone to send their jet and skipping abroad, possibly to his pals in the gulf where there's no extradition treaty?

I expect the police have his passport - and he's pretty recognisable

Benjithedog · 19/02/2026 20:07

Charles really shouldn’t be letting him come back to Sandringham. He needs to turf him out and let him go live with one of his daughters.

Ge4nuinely, where would be go? There is an extradition treaty (though not exactly strongly observed) between the UAE and the UK. Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Russia, China, Afghanistan, Syria and other similar countries don’t have extradition treaties but (a) would Andrew realistically want to live there? (b) would the country be willing to put its diplomatic relationship with the UK in jeopardy to enable this; and (c) who would fund him to live there?

Lunde · 19/02/2026 20:11

So where's Fergie? Has she done a runner?

Looks very much like it. So cowardly

Thedom · 19/02/2026 20:18

I do think the Gulf Royals would offer him a place, but only with the tacit agreement of Charles, and I think Charles will stay well away from anything to do with Andrew now.
