Oh come on, he's not sitting on an Island with Princess Di, Elvis and Shergar.

You're allowed to think what you think. I don't think he's dead. That's it really and I'm not alone in this.

Have you seen the picture of Jeffrey Epstein’s corpse? Not only was he as dead as a doornail, there were already signs of decomposition.

Unicorn34 · 19/02/2026 14:43

Twonewcats · 19/02/2026 14:19

but the "he didn't look dead" logic makes no sense. If he's not dead, wouldn't they have done literally everything they could with his photo, to ensure that he looked dead?

But would "they" if they needed to get him out of the building quickly? No cameras working, guards asleep outside...? With his money he could pay for anything to happen.

There is no ‘only’ about it! It’s an extremely serious offence.

Anyone thinking it’s a slap-on-the-wrist misdemeanour is woefully ill-informed.

Im not ill informed, I know what the offence is, but I will hold my breath as Ive already said about charges and any later actual prosecution.

Someone else earlier in the thread has given a better overview than I have about why this may come to nothing or be a virtual slap on the wrist.

He wont be going to jail but am happy to eat my hat should I be wrong.

Of course I've seen it but only his face. I am happy to change my mind if I see something more apparent, such as the signs of decomposition. Just from what I have seen, I think he had a lot of colour in his face whereas if he was dead, he would look ashen. Also, from listening to a professional funeral director discuss it, his eyes and mouth were unnaturally closed for a corpse - they general relax open and that's why they're sewn shut if to be in an open casket. Anyway, if someone can share a photo to change my opionion, I'm more than happy to do so.

Oh come on ….!!

And what would have happened to the reputation of the RF through out that trial and a guilty verdict.

Dont be so disrespectful.

Disrespectful? Girls have been trafficked for sex and all you’re worried about is the respect of the RF? Are you for real?

The monarchy can’t end soon enough if it creates such obsequiousness in people.

Statement from the King, copied from BBC website

"I have learned with the deepest concern the news about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and suspicion of misconduct in public office.

What now follows is the full, fair and proper process by which this issue is investigated in the appropriate manner and by the appropriate authorities.

In this, as I have said before, they have our full and wholehearted support and co-operation.

Let me state clearly: the law must take its course.

As this process continues, it would not be right for me to comment further on this matter.

Meanwhile, my family and I will continue in our duty and service to you all. "Charles R.

I don't think he could actually say anything more now this is a legal process.

Quite right, its a good statement

No, it’s not just his face. And he did look very ashen. What professional funeral director? Some random that you don’t even know the name of. He is dead, and thank God.

CathyorClaire · 19/02/2026 14:49

Seems every time I dare to go away some sort of Karma overtakes MW.

Looking forward to seeing what bites over Easter.

Also. I very much doubt C and W were left out of the loop.

No its a very well known one who posts regularly about death and what happens with bodies etc - anyway, if you can share a link to the photo you have seen, as I said I will be more than happy to be proven wrong. I'm sure that maybe you have been given wrong info sometimes and got things wrong..... no?

The fact that the King released a statement a week or so ago stating something to the effect that he wouldn't stand in the way of any police investigation indicated to me that the police were building a case. Combine that with the fact that the palace refused to say anything else did indicate that they were being careful not to prejudice any legal proceedings. I think Andrew has been on borrowed time since the late Queen died.

So well known you don’t know his name. And no, I don’t need to dig out morbid photos to satisfy your curiosity, I am not interested enough in anyone’s opinion to do that, let alone a conspiracy theorist who thinks JE is alive 🤣.

Haven't read or heard anything about that. He comes across as a gigantic insufferable narcissist and narcs always believe they're above everyone else. Even when the writing's on the wall, he will still go to trial thinking there's secret special treatment being arranged for him behind the scenes, just like he did his entire life.

Edited

Totally agree, he wont commit suicide, he'll go down fighting. He is too arrogant

And even if he did kill himself people like him do that as a control thing, not because their MH is poor to the degree that their emotional distress causes them to not want to be alive any more.

Although as I said, Im sure this will come to nothing. Not sure how the police will manage that though because there will be uproar

And also what is happening with Mandleson?

Are you seriously asking another poster to post pictures of a corpse on Mumsnet so you can invite others to inspect it closely to further your conspiracy theory?
for shame, have you any idea how morbid and unsuitable that is?
any idea how much that would upset a lot of people?
not to mention it’s completely against guidelines and the picture wouldn’t make it past the inspection process!

I have seen many corpses in open coffins. Not one has had their eyes and mouths sewn shut.

Think you have misunderstood me / I have communicated poorly.

My point was that it was in the long term commercial / reputational interests of the BRF that A MW case did not go to trial because it would (rightly) decimate them.

The PP, I understood to be minimising this and suggesting that the only outcome of a trial would be cash for her - but the reality is that the BRF did everything to silence her to save their reputation.

I’ve never been so delighted to see someone’s fall from grace than that odious man. I hope they throw the book at him

It was a civil case not criminal, even had it gone to trial and he was found guilty, all she would have received was money.

So what? He should have been charged with rape.

You are quite correct, my friend works for co-op funeral services and has shared many things with me ( some I would rather not hear) , there is only one reason for a corpse to have eyes and mouth sewn up and thats if it’s been subject to such damage that it has to be filled to pad the face out , but most directors would only do this if the family insists on not having a closed coffin.

Absolutely. I didn’t ever imagine that the police would come knocking at the door first thing in the morning to arrest. Brilliant. He must have crapped himself.

I will admit I didn’t think it would happen so quickly but when the emails about passing information came out and Charles announced he would cooperate with the police, I had a suspicion something was happening!
im glad he’s going to face some punishment! , hopefully mandelson will go down with him.

Roadtripwithpretzels · 19/02/2026 15:39

I gather that Gordon Brown has sent a file of new information to the authorities. Good for him!

However much the RF have tried to separate AMW from the family in recent weeks; isn’t it pertinent that he was at the heart of the institution when he allegedly committed these offences?

This is not remotely objective but I must admit I am so sick of seeing video footage of AMW on the news strutting about on official occasions with that self important furrowed brow! What a come down to have your collar felt by the coppers!

likelysuspect · 19/02/2026 15:44

Where did Gordon Brown get the information from?
