This made me hoot with laughter … saying that if MM has got $M’s of unsold goods with beat before dates looming, she’s more Penny-Dreadful than Pennywise!

I can’t imagine that many customers of As Ever are men? And I can’t see any of the women customers buying a pot of jam for their man on Valentine’s Day? Also I would find it surreal to open a gift that was a pot of jam on Valentine’s Day - zero relevance to anything - similar if it was a tub of peanut butter - bizarre. Maybe if it was Marmite it would be quirky/funny.

If she repackaged the jam with a twist - sold with a pastry brush and presented like chocolate body paint - sling in a pair of crotchless knickers (just for the craic / crack…) then it might fly (or attract flies…)

Otherwise is just jarring….. As Ever.

The blurb for the valentines stock is awful too. It must be Meg that’s doing it.
They seem to be keeping the costs down:

• Always pics at home. The garden starting to look run down. We know the kitchen is ‘well worn’ according to the NYT.
• Reusing royal outfits. She wore that blue dress in 2018 when she was a working royal
• It’s clearly Meg that’s in charge of the 2010 Pinterest aesthetics and awful copyrighting.

Haven’t heard if cookie queens has been picked up either.

@Atlusvue I agree with your post - with the exception of reusing outfits. I don't recycle mine - I just rewear them & I think that's OK. 😂 In your defence though , I am not one who constantly ( in my case never) instagrams to put over a rich perfect lifestyle. If they did have the money to maintain the property then you would have thought they would maintain the boule court / bocce? . Just because maintenance of a house is a good thing. They may not use it , but not to maintain it I would say is laziness or saving money.

I’ve got no issue with rewearing items. We all do, everyday!

But when she was a working royal, she wasn’t known for rewearing items (I mean she was only there 18months )
even so, she collected a vast wardrobe, full of expensive designers. Wearing new designs all the time. Having couture pieces made. All for KC to pay for.

Since she’s left, she hasn’t continued to build a collection. It’s all jumpers, shirts and very casual- which makes sense….but also she probably gets sent this stuff free.

She hasn’t worn anything couture, anything from the runway this season etc. Well there was Paris….but that was a loan.

Rewearing that green dress from a shoot, rewearing the Chanel dress from a shoot, rewearing this dress. Wearing a polo neck from her royal days to Kris Jenners 70th. She doesn’t seem to pay for big ticket clothing items….and she obviously isn’t sent them either.

Her wardrobes should be bursting with clothes to rewear given she spent over £800,000 in 18 months on clothing for her 72 engagements (billed to Charles).

That’s what I mean……£800,000 in 18 months.

But they left 5 years ago and there’s no way shes even spent close to that, or accumulated the value of that….from the new prices that we’ve seen anyway.

She doesn’t seem to like spending her money or she just doesn’t have the budget.

From her podcast talk with Emma grede…she says she invests independently of Harry and believes that women should be financially independent ( no shit). I don’t think they pool their money together. I think that’s why she doesn’t spend. Both of them clearly don’t want to spend money on house renovations or garden maintenance

I am currently very jealous and wish I had a mother like Carol Middleton who snared me a Prince (as i learned happened from another thread) or the good luck of accidentally stumbling into a blind date with a Prince I had never heard of before (again, learned from the Royal pages).

Also envious of Camilla's hats and bug broaches.

Oh to be royalty or have wealth to eclipse theirs.

Probably - then there is whatever of Diana's jewellery that Harry has given her.

I think now would be a good time to ditch the titles. I can't imagine being a member of the RF is seen as being advantageous ATM or in the near future.

@AtIusvue Oh I'm agreeing with you be in no doubt. I think rewearing is great , but I do agree it wasn't her forte. I bet she has lots of things given to her as freebies but not high value things. Also I do wonder whether those things she did have ( like that £50,000 engagement photo dress ) are safely packed for a Diana type auction as @Puzzledandpissedoff says. She doesn't seem to go anywhere where proper formal dressing up is required. She has reworn the dress bit of that Caroline Herrera red affair, but I can't think of anything else.

I think the tiaras @Hoolahoophop are all lent to the WRF - not owned. If fact apart from her wedding I am not sure M was there long enough to wear one at a "do".

Re the house maintenance - I wonder if M thought - I've got the house of my dreams and either overestimated their income , so can't afford or won't afford to spend money on some things. As for H - he's never had to think about that sort of stuff - it just "happened" .

Anyway a shame to see things deteriorating , in any house

That’s embarrassing. However, I’m guessing that with bigger things going on with the RF, Harry can be as embarrassing as he wants this week!

He’s now shilling Megs choco bars. I’m sure Fergie would be happy to promote Megs chocolate, she’s got some free time.

Have just remembered that cream / latte coloured custom made Dior kaftan Meghan wore in Morocco. Estimated £90K cost. Never seen again.

I can just about see jam being packaged as part of a Valentine's Day 'special breakfast for your loved one' gift. But you'd need other coherent items to go with it. I bet the nice independent bakery near me is doing something like that and it'll make more sense and probably be cheaper too.

Looks like Meghan is using up some of her unsold spreads and sprinkles in her chocolate!

No info on the origin of the chocolate though - maybe because it’s just generic, massed produced rubbish (with added sprinkles).

At least they are trying to make a honest living unlike the rest of the Windsor’s.
