So Meghan lost her fathers number but is ringing round hospitals and will send a handwritten note, as per Sussex sources speaking through the Sun, the Telegraph and the Times.

I mean I have no idea, how it works with PR for very famous people, but surely there are scenarios they prep for?

Her dad is in his 80s, severely obese and has suffered ill health for years. You would think, there would be protocol in what to do should the worst happen.

That would include having up to date contact info. This isn’t something Meg would need to have/get involved with if she’s estranged, but surely ‘The Office of the DDOS’ would. Then engage in their set plan- whether that’s a public statement that this is a private affair or that contact has been made through the proper channels.

Whatever this is, it isn’t professional-it’s complete chaos.

You would think they were some big multi national corporation with the amount of staff they have/had with ridiculous grandiose titles, I mean both Harry and Meghan have a “Chief of staff” 🙄 each! The hubris of this pathetic pair appears to have no bounds, I mean come on, why would a talentless duo who do literally nothing need so many staff, you never ever hear of any celebrity with this set up, celebrities who have actual talent and produce actual work such as music, films etc. they really are a joke, no wonder they are burning through cash, egos their size cost an absolute fortune.

BigWillyLittleTodger · 27/12/2025 10:51

That’s brilliant @EmpressSisi 😂

RecoIIectionsMayVary · 27/12/2025 10:52

The interview is not thought to have gone down well at Buckingham Palace.

Best not to bite the hand that feeds you.

Thedom · 27/12/2025 10:53

Sophie Chandauka must be feeling very validated at the moment, Archewell Foundation going under and continued proof that high level professionals are unable to work for the two losers.

Yup. That's a hell of a lot of staff for a jam spread company that does not actually make any jam spread.

According to Chris Ship , “ sources” close to the Sussexes say that Meredith was not the right fit . Ouch .
One thing for sure - we can look forward to another year of Sussex shenanigans!

They’re absolute idiots. It’s obvious to absolutely everyone that this is another example of them being horrendous to work for, but on the surface of it they can play it off as an amicable separation - Meredith has been very professional in her statement.

But the pair of them can’t resist throwing mud and trying to cast blame on the other person. All it does is a. Make them look petty and mean spirited b. Continue to fuel the media speculation and stir the pot that it was a breakdown in relationship and c. Open the door for sources on Meredith’s behalf to give her side of the story.

I don’t think I’ve ever known anyone to make the same mistakes again so consistently over and over again and never ever learn.

On a completely different topic, I saw something on Twitter (so may be rubbish) that for the Diana documentary the Sussexes are supposedly making, Meghan has installed herself as the “director” and that Prince William has issued an absolute refusal for them to use any footage or imagery including him. Whilst in some ways I can imagine that suiting Harry (as he loves to act as if he was Diana’s only son) I can only imagine what sort of utter tripe it will be if it does get made.

bluegreygreen · 27/12/2025 11:24

I still can't work out why Meredith Maines went to work with them - it was hardly going to be a glowing event on her CV.

RecoIIectionsMayVary · 27/12/2025 11:26

"She wouldn’t be welcome - you’re right- but does she know that?"

Oh, she knows it, all right. That's why, in my opinion, she will never set foot in this country again if she can help it. And I'm pretty sure she will put everything in the way of the kids doing so too.

What I can't decide is, whether Harry know this. And including his 'desire for his kids to know their birthright' in all the court stuff is all a red herring, designed to tug at people's heartstrings when what he actually wants is all the bells and whistles of 5* security (and the kudos that goes with that) at the click of a finger.

They are both wanting very different paths - Harry would be back like a shot if he was given the chance. Well he is gormless. Meghan no - it's odd as she seems to believe she is the bee's knees in general but in there she MUST know how many people in the UK don't care for her. She would NEVER come back into the sphere of William and Catherine. She much prefers to be a big fish in her own little puddle.

They remind me of little kids playing at living in the grown up world.

Except with real money. Which they are clearly running out of.

"Chief of staff". "Global communications officer". "Office of the Duke and Duchess."

All this for a woman who flogs white label 'spread' on the internet, and a bloke who gives paid speeches for whatever mid level organisation will sign the cheque.

As I've said previously, I bet none of us could name Taylor Swift or Margot Robbie's PR person, yet these clowns have made a whole saga out of their 'staff'. It's never a good sign when the story is the PR itself, rather than the 'product'. The Sussexes' problem is they have no product.

JSMill · 27/12/2025 11:29

They’re making a Diana documentary?

Apparently! It was rumoured a while ago (something to do with the 30th anniversary of her death). I don’t think it’s ever been officially confirmed or announced though, so it could just be social media rumour mongering - I hadn’t seen it mentioned for a while but it seems to have popped up again.

RecoIIectionsMayVary · 27/12/2025 11:48

I don't see that many people under about 40, really have any interest in Diana, probably older than that.

I think that must be hard for Harry, but she is part of the past and it won't be enough to change their fortunes.

I used to think MM releasing a autobiography would do it, but it has been too long, too much has gone on for people to care enough.

Totally agree with the comment about little kids playing grown ups. That’s exactly how I feel too. It’s like they are playing acting in some made up fantasy in their heads. No one is really concentrating and no one cares anymore. They’re talking to themselves.

I saw that article but can’t remember where . I am just curious to know what else there is to say about Diana especially as Harry said he didn’t have many memories of her .

AtIusvue · 27/12/2025 12:10

Just think of the number of domestic staff they must go through!

Did anyone ever watch the Gilmore Girls? And how the granny went through a different maid each episode.

So I typed in how many staff they would need for a 14 bed mansion. Depending on the lifestyle- it would be at a minimum 3-5 full time staff. For those that entertain etc….up to 15. I didn’t add anything about large grounds.

Usually you would have a house manager, to direct all the staff but I can’t imagine Meg would allow that. I think she’s house manager. Hence, parts of the property looking a bit worn.

Im not sure they have a chef….as their freezer was described as ‘stuffed’ full of tater tots and
Chicken nuggets in the NYT article.

Im sure they have to have at least two full time gardeners. I don’t think they have a butler, maybe a housekeeper and 3 full time cleaners.

They also have two nannies?

They will have security permanently at the house - so maybe 3 people at all times.

Plus their personal security that travels with them etc. so again….another 3?

Thats a lot of people in close quarters….they must go through huge numbers at home too!

@AtIusvue wasn’t there a story that they let go of a nanny in the middle of the night?

You may well have a point there, @RecollectionsMayVary - unless she made the contents really incendiary I suppose, but then after the many lies who would believe her now?

Yes, I think when Archie was a baby.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 27/12/2025 12:21

The sacking of the night nanny was a claim in Scobie's Finding Freedom, @JSMill, so is probably to be regarded in the same light as the rest of his dribblings

Besides, no detail was ever given beyond it being only her second night of employment and that she'd been "unprofessional and irresponsible"

I actually can name Taylor Swift's PR person! She is called Tree Paine and the reason i know her name is that several PR podcasts have talked about her as the gold standard of PR. Like what seems like most of Swift's team she has been there for decades.

It really says something about Harry and Megan that their staff turnover is so high. Either they can't pick good people or they are difficult to work with.

Either they can't pick good people or they are difficult to work with.

It's a bit like someone who's been divorced several times.

Once, or even twice, it might be that the other person was a dud. But it gets to a point where the fault has to be with the one consistent factor, which in this case is Harry and Meghan.

Why do the Sussexes need all these 'people' anyway? They don't actually do anything.

Exactly. They have fancy titles but are either bad at their jobs or aren't listened to.
