But before TM gave interviews , he had never met Harry which seemed really odd . H said he phoned TM to ask for M’s hand in marriage . Could he not have visited ?
The late Queen and then POW urged M to fly over and speak to her Dad but she refused . I also read that Charles suggested a couple of aides go over and bring him to the U.K. but M refused .
It doesn’t take a genius to work it that TM was no longer useful to Meghan !

Irony is if she had of let fat and scruffy Tom walk her up the aisle he would have been forgotten about by the next day by the media. In the long term her decision has backfired.

There is no way I could find any redeeming factor in how her father acted, nor her toxic siblings, before and after her wedding. They are despicable. Unfortunately Meghan is cut from the same cloth.

Mad really because no one actually cares about that. I think she puts a lot of store on things that most people simply don’t care or invest in. She could have walked down the aisle with her father, it wouldn’t have affected her ‘stock’.

No, plus she was really popular then, people would just have been happy for her.

Yet Diana’s father who was still quite wobbly from his stroke was bursting with pride as he walked her up the aisle - or rather she walked him up. Sure he was aristocracy. But also less than sprightly. And there was no reason for Tom to be scruffy, plenty of tailors would have seen to that.

But what did the dad do though?

This has always been a bit of a mystery to me. The entire family seem quite mercenary but I can't really see what he did that was so bad. More confusing because she praised him before she met Harry.

Harry himself has commented on Toms huge stomach in disgust. How absolutely horrible.

Agree. Whatever she thought she would gain by not having him hasn’t happened. Even being walked part of the way by Charles hasn’t upped her stock. It’s been more detrimental to her not letting her father walk her, it has made her look shallow. If her father looked like a movie star (or was a movie star) no doubt he’d have been there.

The Tig was full of what a fantastic Dad he was! He took her to ballet and tap, then to great restaurants afterwards.
She frequently gave fulsome and emotional tributes, right up until the engagement.

I’m struck that in every photo with herself , her dad and her mother she is standing next to her dad, leaning into him. There is no interaction with her mother.

I enjoyed the Guardian review of it. Otherwise it’s a pile of shite.

Apparently she lived with him between the ages of 11-18 while Doria travelled, it appears he gave her everything to facilitate her, a home, a private education, access to “Hollywood” and by all accounts he doted on her and she was full of praise and love for him. I just think he outlived his usefulness and he doesn’t
look the part, he embarrassed her so he he had to be cut out, she was probably delighted at the pap shots a great excuse to get rid.
