As ever, WLM, PR disasters continued

Online, people are pointing out that a very expensive cashmere jumper that Meg wore on suits, also made its way to her wardrobe

It’s been nothing but PR disasters of late.

What I have noticed which is curious - is that the UK tabloids are not running with P6 story about the dress. Just like they avoided talking about the NY car chase. They only reported on the media frenzy. But, we know Harry sent out some sort of memo not to publish photos etc. None of the UK press did. Now Meg has acknowledged the stolen dress story and released an official refute ….and none of the UK press are even reporting on that?

That’s weird. They will literally print any old Meg story to get clicks…..but not this one???

The articles on this issue are mainly American.

I think the behaviour of H and M has provided a good precedent for not giving dukedoms on marriage.

Thedom · 02/12/2025 18:28

JSMill · 02/12/2025 17:52

Do you really think that will happen?H and M are a pair of scunners, as we say in Scotland, but they haven’t done anything like as bad as H so won’t W look a bit vindictive if he does it?

I don’t think it will be done in isolation, it will be done as per @BigWillyLittleTodger says, I think it will be a very popular change with the British public, I do think Charles should be the one to do it though, but not sure if he has the appetite for it.

another clap back this time to their own report from archwell .

CurlewKate · 02/12/2025 19:41

I will put money on the Sussexes keeping their titles for life.

Thedom · 02/12/2025 19:44

That is ridiculous, if anything showed how out of touch they are that clapback does 🙄🙄.

No one is denying their right to make money, the inauthenticity comes from using British Royal titles to springboard themselves into making that money along with shadowing RF events.

Meghan herself is the epitome of inauthentic in all of her endeavors, as a founder, as a trad wife, as an influencer, as an interviewer, the list goes on, she is as fake as they come.

BasiliskStare · 02/12/2025 19:49

@CurlewKate I agree in that a solution which could not be seen as vindictive at all would be the Dukedom will be handed back on Harry's death and A&L can keep their titles for their lifetime. Otherwise what would Meghan portray herself as ( MM , formerly Duchess of Sussex ? )

@jeffgoldblum - Good Lord to that article ( but thank you for it.) They have to make money to survive - er er er Harry's trust funds - Meghan's acting earnings - NF , Spotify etc. They can survive quite nicely. Now I may not be in the know but where have they given money to charity significant in their terms , not the "average Joe". Widow's mite anyone?
Harrumphh 😁

Looks like I've missed a lot on this thread, jeff, but they're seriously criticising others for being inauthentic??
It would be funny if it wasn't so pathetic ... and then they wonder why all the major A listers have gone AWOL Hmm

Puzzledandpissedoff · 02/12/2025 20:07

bluegreygreen · 01/12/2025 15:37

Yes.

The Sussexes made public that they were keen to visit Australia in 2026 some time after the Australian Prime Minister had invited the Prince and Princess of Wales (during his visit to the King at Balmoral).

I hadn't realised this either, bluegreygreen ... and they made this public you say?

You'd think, just once, that they might try to be a bit less crass, but I guess it would be more realistic to hope for a lottery jackpot

ThePoshUns · 02/12/2025 20:08

That article is straight from the horses mouth.

Thedom · 02/12/2025 20:14

The official Archewell Foundation document also criticised 'inauthentic' online influencers and declared that 'true leadership is not about money or followers'. “

Like William and Catherine perhaps ? That could explain their popularity.

Thedom · 02/12/2025 20:34

Interesting to see the brands they are trying to align themselves with.

”Patagonia has a strong association with the white, middle- to upper-middle-class demographic”

Most customers fall into the upper-middle-class bracket, with household incomes typically above $75,000 per year. This group is more likely to pay premium prices for items that promise long-term durability, ethical sourcing, and environmental benefits. Patagonia’s higher price points are justified by their product lifespan and social value, which appeals to consumers who see shopping as a form of activism.

Education also plays a key role. Patagonia’s customers are generally well-educated, with many holding college or advanced degrees.

This demographic is more likely to research brands, understand supply chain ethics, and engage in environmental discourse. Patagonia tailors its messaging to reflect this intellectual curiosity, using transparent language about materials, labor, and impact.

It’s so amusing to know this is the type of customer Meghan would love as her client. But she is sooo far off the mark with her business and products.

I’d love to know how selling jam and sprinkles makes Meghan a brand activist.

I imagine it will be part of the bigger picture for the monarchy going forward, I doubt he will target Harry and Meghan but I think there may be a huge restructure, my prediction going forward will be only working royals with any form of title, so, Beatrice, Eugenie, James, Louise, Harry, Meghan, Archie and Lily titles removed, only George will be Prince and Charlotte and Louis’s titles to be put in abeyance until/if they become working royals, also no more Dukedoms on marriage and no becoming a Princess on marriage unless marrying the heir, only George’s first born to be titled, no titles for Charlotte and Loui’s children.

This is the approach I hope will be taken going forward. So ironic that supporters of the RF want this level of slimming down/reform, but so many republicans posting here are determined to see the Sussexes, surely the most pointless of the list of hangers on, keep their titles.

I was thinking exactly the same, us so called “monarchists” looking forward to a new truly slimmed down more modern monarchy and the so called republicans betting (hoping and praying) that Harry and Meghan will hang onto their titles 🤷🏻‍♀️ surely as a republican the more slimmed down the monarchy becomes the better as it is nearer their apparent desire of no monarchy at all…..seems not 🤔. I can actually imagine the day if a republic was declared that certain posters would be saying but we didn’t mean the Sussexes to loose their titles!

A lot of Sussex Squad fans pretend to be Republicans… but they can’t handle the idea of Harry and Meghan losing their titles. They’re easy to spot compared to true Republicans. Most monarchists want a slimmed down monarchy—monarch, heir, and children. True Republicans want to get rid of the monarchy entirely!

Sussex Squad are the ones who claim they want to abolish the monarchy but completely lose it when it’s suggested the Sussexes might lose their titles. They get all flustered when it’s pointed out how easily William could strip them, following the Andrew precedent 🤣

elessar · 02/12/2025 23:01

That article is something else!

“These young people, from Meghan's native United States, Harry's UK as well as Australia, <a class="break-all" href="https://archive.ph/o/PGzfn/www.dailymail.co.uk/news/canada/index.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Canada and Panama, said they are exhausted by the inauthenticity of influencer culture.
Archewell's Insight Report, released on November 20, said those interviewed want their role models to be motivated by causes they care about - rather than 'driven by profit'.
'Across geographies, youth describe influencers as 'performative,' 'inauthentic,' and 'profit-motivated'. Meaningful voices are often drowned out by harmful or shallow content', the document says.”

It’s hilarious and astonishing that Meghan cannot see just how closely this sentiment aligns exactly with her own content which couldn’t be more inauthentic, performative and profit motivated if she tried.

The clap back is utterly desperate too - they have to “make money to survive”? They give a “disproportionate amount of their wealth” to charity compared to the “average Joe”? And they’re an “activism driven brand”?

I mean come on, it’s just pure fantasy.

BigWillyLittleTodger · 02/12/2025 23:15

Mylovelygreendress · 02/12/2025 23:39

When is Harry’s Estate Agent event ?

StartupRepair · 02/12/2025 23:46

Their charity model seems to be to give $10,000 to a known and respected charity like the Red Cross and then say Archewell is their 'partner.'

Thedom · 03/12/2025 04:29

Harry’s ‘real estate fireside chat’, sounds riveting ….

Not sure if you mean me here but I assume so
so because I appear to be the only poster prepared to place a bet that the Sussexes will keep their titles! Just to clarify-there is a difference between thinking something will happen and wanting something to happen. There are people who seem to think that either the King or the PofW when he becomes King will remove the Sussexes titles regardless of any other “slimming down”. I don’t think the “slimming down” is going to happen-neither the King nor the PofW have the inclination or the backbone. And so the Sussexes will keep their titles because to single them out would look like revenge. Far better to let them just wither away into obscurity as the press lose interest in them and the older Wales children start falling out of nightclubs and having romantic attachments. Obviously if I’m wrong about the slimming down the Sussex titles will go with the rest. And I will owe somebody my house…..
