So she is wearing a Wolfson bodysuit, which she was last pictured wearing in 2018 as daywear, on a RF outing.

The skirt isn’t current collection, I can’t rem the designer though. But it’s a couple of years old.

Why on earth she put those things together?, I don’t know. I’m thinking she thought seen as it’s a 007 party, she was trying to achieve a sleek Bond girl vibe? It looks like a very last minute decision.

It looked awful. Clash of fabrics, bust flattened by the bodysuit, the over correction of her posture (sticking out her ribs and abdomen to keep the shoulders back) which means she has zero shape/waist/bust/curves.

So standing next to the Kardashians, who are known for their curves- extreme hourglass figures- It only further highlighted Megs very poor sartorial choice. She looked like a plain Jane.

Shes been re wearing a lot gifted items recently. The Chanel dress from Variety, the green dress also from Variety. Maybe she just isn’t getting sent freebies anymore and she just chucked something together. She doesn’t seem willing to spend her own cash.

If she's wearing an outfit which is literally 'so last season', in fact several seasons old, then that is a major embarrasment. Obviously in the real world we all wear things that are years old, but that is most certainly not how it works in the world she seeks to be a part of. Most of the women at that party probably had custom dresses designed just for that event, and they'll never wear them again. If Meghan had to scramble around for dull separates from years ago then that marks her out as the poor relative.

I wonder if it was a last minute invitation for them? A party like this would have been planned months in advance to allow all these celebrities to synchronise their diaries and plan their outfits. But Meghan appears to have had to pull an outfit together from bits and pieces. And it shows.

Yes, exactly. Like I said above, it's just a plain black top not so different from something you'd get for a few quid in any High Street shop. To wear it to an ultra glam event where the other guests will have been wearing custom designer evening gowns, is, as they say, a choice!

The only half way plausible explanation I can think of is that this was a last minute invitation. And even then it doesn't make sense. Surely she had something more suitable in her wardrobe than two dowdy mismatched black pieces?

They were apparently at another event before this with Serena Williams, who invited them along to the Kardashian party - hence the outfits and poppy. Also apparently didn't agree to photos being use - to be fair I wouldn't agree to those unflattering photos either! But who knows what's true and what's PR.

Agreed. If they weren’t so tightly clenched, some bad photos wouldn’t have been a problem. I mean, it’s not like it’s the first time Meghan has looked like a sartorial accident, and we’re well used to Harry’s unappealing Rory McGrath-look. Anyone else would have a. Worn a proper outfit in the first place and b. Just shrugged it off and cracked on. They are their own worst enemies, and I do think it’s coming from her, not him - it has control freakery written all over it. As the very wise Jilly Cooper wrote about bad publicity, ‘let mud dry and you can brush it off’, unfortunately by creating this hoo-ha there’s no chance of brushing it off. All that happens is that more and more people see the photos….although that may be the ultimate idea, of course.

This is an interesting statement. From the outside it looks like their brand (what brand?!)is built on chaotic mess, fucking up everything they do and fading RF links. How revealing if they think their brand has anything at all to do with control, beyond Meghan stamping about allegedly bullying her staff, because it’s not the impression I get, as a moderately casual observer.

I'm absolutely convinced she's gone as "Bond in a polo neck" and he's "Bond in a tux". I reckon they got "Bond theme" mixed up with fancy dress.

Harry - who probably went to the party cos his wife said they were going and thought it would be a private event with no photographers inside - would see he was getting bad UK press and got them pulled.

I can imagine him reading all the UK royal related press every day and seeing he needed to take action or his image here would fall even further. And, now King Charles has stripped his own brother of being a prince, Harry losing his own title is a real possibility so he needs to shore up his UK public image. If his popularity sinks lower, that might give future King William (or even Charles) an idea about removing Harry or his kids’ titles in the future. Sweden and Denmark have both removed either HRH styles or Prince/ess titles from children of the monarch’s second born children in the last few years so it’s a royal trend. I think they risked the wrath of the Kardashians to try to keep Archie and Lilibet HRH Prince Archie and HRH Princess Lilibet.

That makes Harry and his PR really dumb though, doesn't it? Doesn't the "expert" on the internet know how the internet works? Nothing disappears. The Kardashians have a collective following of something like 2 billion. Of course photos at their parties will be screen shot and re-published everywhere! And their SM is constantly monitored and unusual stuff like deleting pictures picked up immediately. If they had just left it, or quietly asked for it to be deleted in a few weeks' time, the news cycle will have moved on to something else. All they've managed to do is Streisand Effect it and, as usual, suck the oxygen out of someone else's event.

I was thinking that too! Didn’t Roger Moore’s Bond wear a polo neck? To be fair, with a bit more thought she could have nailed the look. A sharp suit or tux would’ve been incredible if she’d actually put some effort in. I adore when women wear suits, especially a fully buttoned tux with nothing underneath, it’s such a power move.

Maybe she's gone as Roger Moore's eyebrow? 🤔But yes, the black polo is classic Bond, famously worn by Roger, although Daniel Craig and Pierce Brosnan also wore them.

I mentioned just the same in a post above about a tux! Meghan looks great in a black suit, imo. Pair it with a bit of a glam top underneath and she's have looked great!
