Agree with the boobs re Paris.

Justdancevance · 12/11/2025 17:37

The Caroline herrera dress looked terrible on Meghan as it didn’t fit correctly. The whole chest area looked shocking, and no shoulders are attractive enough to distract from that. It cost a lot of money to look that. Terrible advertising for the brand too

No doubt she looked exceedingly well in it but I’m sad to say I’m not a fan of the big shoulder look!!traumatised from my 80s childhood no doubt!

She is glowing in that look & I love most JP dresses but I didn't love the shoulders with the big up do. I felt the styling was a bit old for her, I'm a 80s child too so maybe it's that.

Interestingly I’ve always felt Kate’s evening styling is much more youthful than her daywear. Whenever she’s been at the BAFTA’s etc she’s always looked a contemporary to the actors. I definitely preferred Meghan’s style when it came to daytime engagements (is it ever possible to make a coat dress look youthful?!).

It’s been posted to be inflammatory so then the poster can have ammunition to say we are all big meanies. Funny isn’t it how it appeared when posters were having a nice discussion on clothes.

Perhaps they just liked the look? I do and didn't know the connotations.

It was genuine, and I am not that sort of person. I liked that look, don't watch South Park. I am sorry people feel otherwise. I just wanted to show positivity for MM, as she gets a lot of hate. I have evidently chosen the wrong image, but this does not change the fact that I love this look on her.

I think the difference ( if you pardon me for saying!) is Paris is looking a bit booby in it which makes it look less classy than Catherine.
but still a lovely look .

Yes the boobs don’t suit that type of dress, they take away from the beauty of the dress because they are the first thing you notice, waits patiently for the cries of boob shaming……that won’t come because it’s Paris……

EmpressSisi · 12/11/2025 17:30

I found Paris’s dress. She does look lovely, but I still prefer Catherine’s gold gown. It was such a moment — the whole look, from the hair to the makeup, was absolutely flawless 😍

There are a few truly iconic photos of Catherine: the Covid mask at Prince Philip’s funeral, the red cape dress with the leg reveal, and the coronation shot. But I honestly think the gold Bond premiere dress deserves to be classed as iconic too.

It's beautiful. It just doesn't have the drama and sophistication of the gold. It's giving me Christmas angel/Elsa from Frozen rather than Bond girl. It's funny how a colour can make such a difference.

Yes, that was a stunner! A nice, playful twist on tweed.

I think it was the styling which really made the look. The burgandy belt and shoes, and the fabulous hair, really elevated the dress.

If you look at the dress itself, it doesn't look anything special. Slightly drab even. I think it shows the importance of having a stylist who can see the potential of an outfit and how to make it really work for her client.

Oh say it louder. I see all those Euro royals in full bling, plenty of tiara outings and get so frustrated with our lot! Let them see the daylight!

Yes, yes, let’s see more of the jewels
Film stars used to dress in stunning jewellery and furs, but, sadly, no more
We need the RF to give us some glamour, but they probably think they have to dumb down, or face criticism
Which is sad because we need them to cheer us all up

bottledboot · 12/11/2025 17:42

@TheHappenings I really liked it too, I love the neckline, the hat & the colour on her.

It's also about if the cut works for your body and accentuates the best bits.

RockaLock · 12/11/2025 17:43

To everyone saying Meghn’s outfit was a strange choice for a party: that is because, as I think some PPs already suggested, she and Harry were at an event earlier the same day.

Heres a photo of them earlier on that day. Harry changed his suit and tie for the party, but Meghan stayed in the same outfit.

Absolutely! The belt gave it a bit of an edge. Obviously it helps to have an incredible figure and to be tall!

bottledboot · 12/11/2025 17:45

@Aethelredtheunsteady I agree, her evening wear is often younger but found that particular look quite old still if that makes sense.

(is it ever possible to make a coat dress look youthful?!).

I don't think so, you need to go down the tailored separates look.

bottledboot · 12/11/2025 17:47

@RockaLock I would have tried to fit in an outfit change! you know you can go big time glam with the Kardashian's. I like the simplicity of her look but think it was too boring for the event.

Yes! Christmas fairy!

Kate is a 'cool summer' in colouring, as am I. Theoretically she should look better in silver but the gold took this dress to another level. The silver looks a bit tin foil. Also I think the occasion, a James Bond premiere at the Royal Albert Hall, one of the first big glam events post Covid, also made the outfit more special.

I believe Daniel Craig could be heard telling her 'You look smashing!'

The outfit still looks drab compared to Serena's dress.

Hate to say it but really do not like his outfit!!! , the colour is awful and makes his face look red.

Serena's dress looks just like one Catherine wore too!

Shame Meghan didn't change into something more glam if Harry was changing anyway.

Yeah I'm going to say that a Kardashian party is going to be high glam!

I think one of the reasons they pulled the pictures is it photographed so badly.

So obvious.

Aethelredtheunsteady · 12/11/2025 18:02

If I were the royals I’d put on an exhibition of their jewellery with a pay what you can ticket price with all the proceeds going to charity. Either centrally or touring/loan pieces out to regional museums. The royals could easily fund the running costs off their income from the duchies so it needn’t cost the public purse anything.

Fans of the royals could enjoy the sparkly stuff. People who are ambivalent on the royals but like fashion/history etc could enjoy the sparkly stuff. Republicans like me who are also magpies could enjoy the sparkly stuff whilst knowing the proceeds weren’t going directly to the royals.

One of the arguments for the monarchy is that they are presented as guardians for the nation of their art/palaces/jewels etc rather than the owners - so let the nation see the stuff.

She does, it was the same when she was on official visits, you could see the ill fitting bras underneath her clothes, it really spoiled some nice dresses.
