He was really enjoying this 😂 as opposed to what he's seen previously .. but what's the story about the Sussex photos being deleted ?

I’m not sure why you are posting pictures of Meghan for posters to pass comment on considering you were most distraught when posters were doing exactly that upthread, no doubt you will get terribly upset if the responses are not positive. I find it quite interesting that of all the outfits and hats she has worn you picked that particular ensemble.

I am sorry the positivity offended you.

Omg I loved that gold Bond dress 😍

Catherine looked phenomenal in it!

No doubt she looked exceedingly well in it but I’m sad to say I’m not a fan of the big shoulder look!!
traumatised from my 80s childhood no doubt!

Isn’t that the South Park outfit? Interesting (deliberately goady) choice. No comment from me.

I can't decide between the gold and a lovely silvery, floaty Jenny Packham she wore shortly after she and William married. And then there's the Philips Lepley dress she wore in the Bahamas. Too much choice!

That was my favourite as well! And don’t get me started on the hair in that dress!

From what I remember it was the Republicans liking the floral headpiece as they argued that wearing a tiara (and the whole coronation in general) wasn’t a good look during a cost of living crisis. I think the royal fans generally wanted the tiaras, particularly something new (ie unworn) for Catherine as they were sick of seeing her in the Cambridge Lover’s Knot that she usually rocks.

I’m pro tiaras! It’s a shame we never got to see Meghan in one after the wedding.

I agree 👍

Those are lovely too but I think the Bond Girl dress is on another level!

The Erdem she wore to the V&A Museum, her first engagement after having Louis, is my favourite of her daytime outfits.

I meant in the press, not on MN.

Nobody is going to become a republican just because they wore a shiny hat they’ve owned for decades/hundreds of years. Fans of the royals want to see the shiny hats.

Just crack on with the bling 🤷‍♀️. The Royals have far bigger optics problems than the Crown Jewels.

Sorry, my mistake. I see what you mean.

bottledboot · 12/11/2025 17:27

That a lovely shape on Kate, she should wear that style more often

Yes fancy picking an outfit for posters to comment on which was mocked around the world…….

For you @Wasntmeanttobelikethis! , fully cropped to protect the person, there are many, many like this!

I’ve only just read his book and his narrative of training to be a pilot sounded utterly convincing. I admired how much hard work went into the training. 😱

MadeInGrimsby · 12/11/2025 17:29

I find Erdem a bit hit and miss. I've never seen a Jenny Packham dress I didn't like.

Yes @ThePoshUnsit is indeed the outfit from South Park! , if it wasn’t posted deliberately, then a very poor choice!
I would advise moving on.

I found Paris’s dress. She does look lovely, but I still prefer Catherine’s gold gown. It was such a moment — the whole look, from the hair to the makeup, was absolutely flawless 😍

There are a few truly iconic photos of Catherine: the Covid mask at Prince Philip’s funeral, the red cape dress with the leg reveal, and the coronation shot. But I honestly think the gold Bond premiere dress deserves to be classed as iconic too.

I don’t remember much commentary on the outfits from more republican leaning social media (other than the meme that Penny Mourdant’s outfit looked like the Poundland logo). Discussion was more focused on the arrests.

This is what I mean about just wear the sodding tiaras. I’m not going to change my mind on the existence of a hereditary monarchy because Kate didn’t wear a tiara (if anything needlessly commissioning something new offends my republican sensitivities more). Same as nobody is going to become a republican if she wore a tiara. And seeing as support for the royals is falling, give the fans they’ve got what they want and wear diamonds!

bottledboot · 12/11/2025 17:30

@TheHappenings that's a great look on M, she did give good hat!

That pink outfit will always be synonymous with Southpark.

Honestly, it took every ounce of self-restraint not to post the South Park image all in the name of keeping the peace 😆😂

Yes, that was a stunner! A nice, playful twist on tweed.

She is glowing in that look & I love most JP dresses but I didn't love the shoulders with the big up do. I felt the styling was a bit old for her, I'm a 80s child too so maybe it's that.

It’s been posted to be inflammatory so then the poster can have ammunition to say we are all big meanies. Funny isn’t it how it appeared when posters were having a nice discussion on clothes.

I think the difference ( if you pardon me for saying!) is Paris is looking a bit booby in it which makes it look less classy than Catherine.
but still a lovely look .

Perhaps they just liked the look? I do and didn't know the connotations.
