Maybe it’s not directed at you then? You may step away.

If anyone should step away it is you for your goady posts and trying to derail a thread which you have deliberately sought out despite having no skin in the game allegedly.

I have been on here a good 20 years and it’s really has gone downhill. The Meghan and Harry and the Meghan verses Catherine threads highlight the worst of the worst with posters so desperately trying to assert their right to post whatever they like about whatever they choose, even if it’s just basically being really nasty for no apparent reason. And if you question it they get really annoyed and spout 1984 nonsense. The irony.

You are aware that deliberately derailing , goady post that are not about the discussion in any way is in fact not only not in the spirit but classed as against guidelines!

Yes, I just don't think it's a good dress.

Not sure that red is Meghan's colour either. She looks best in rich jewel tones imo.

Yes, I agree. She is one of those people who can pull off a strong purple, but also bright yellow. I think she looks good in green as well. I know many people didn't like her green Commonwealth service outfit, but I did, I thought the cut and colour suited her. I think the yellow Brandon Maxwell dress is my favourite, but also there was one with birds on, that I liked. Can't remember the designer. Strapless, I think.

clutching at straws somewhat. Please report me for being against ‘talk guidelines’ 😂

If it’s not directed at me perhaps you shouldn’t have quoted me and replied directly then !
and that little 1984 comment obviously wasn’t anything to do with me either then !
perhaps you should step away.

People can only derail threads if they are indulged.

Just saying.

If it's not against talk guidelines for someone to come onto a thread for no purpose other than to repeatedly berate other posters who are not breaking forum rules, then it should be.

Any advance on 12 ?

OMG guys, I actually did it — 12 likes! 🥹 I’m finally seen. I’m finally worthy. I can hold my head high among the moderately upvoted elite. One more and I ascend to full enlightenment. Don’t talk to me, I’m basically an influencer now 😎✨

How about you channel your energy elsewhere and stop trying to police other women.

Well that's ironic! 😆

Yes I agree, it’s relentless here at the moment, I will have a read of the guidelines and maybe try and get some clarification.

Aethelredtheunsteady · 12/11/2025 15:46

It’s a thread set up to insult Meghan and Harry. It’s within the rules of the site, freedom of speech etc.

But it’s a bit disingenuous from posters who want to attack the couple that the thread was intended to do anything other than that.

Just admit that you don’t like them, want to have a bit of a gossip about them/slag them off and own it, as your particular choice of how to spend a rainy Wednesday. Rather than getting offended when people on a public forum, who have just as much of a right to engage (or not) in any discussion as you do, call out that it’s a thread set up specifically to be mean about a couple of people.

The yellow Brandon Maxwell was great, I agree. Though I hated the Kermit the Frog Commonwealth ceremony dress.

Meghan looks best in simple, unfussy styles. The Suits wardrobe people knew exactly how to dress her. She always looked great in the outfits they put her in. Yes I know that was a decade ago, but her basic face and figure haven't changed that much.

BigWillyLittleTodger · 12/11/2025 15:47

And so it continues…….

What does MNs say? Surely it's an open forum, people can discuss whatever they like including the motivation behind such threads?. Obviously anything offensive can be reported.

Yes, why not just admit it?

bottledboot · 12/11/2025 15:50

I loved that red dress on M, the black outfit is a little boring compared to what other celebs wore but presumably it was on theme.

I agree the suits look suited her, you don’t see that aesthetic though that much anymore, I used to dress like that when I worked for a corporate company, I loved getting dressed for work each day, now I go to work in trainers, sad sad times.

I don't know what the forum rules are. This forum is very lightly moderated, but on most discussion forums I know, there is little tolerance for off topic posters and repeat offenders are banned.

I do think coming onto a thread with no intention of contributing to the subject under discussion, but instead repeatedly insulting other posters and trying to drag the discussion off topic, is poor practice and should not be allowed. However, I don't run this forum and don't make the rules. I just try to ignore the goady baiters.

Yes. That's just gone out of fashion, hasn't it? There was a thread on here about what to wear to a posh restaurant and the response was basically jeans and trainers from some people! Others amongst us like to dress up 😉

BigWillyLittleTodger · 12/11/2025 15:53

I happily admit I don’t like Meghan or Harry, in fact I’m quite proud of the fact I don’t like liars, bullies or grifters as I have standards in the people I admire 🤷🏻‍♀️
