not wearing a poppy doesnt mean you dont care.

Yeah, she doesn't, though.

All so murky - Harry’s side paying that journalist a £5000 per month inducement, only for him to deny he ever signed the statement they were relying on 🤮

"The claimants have now confirmed that they “do not intend to call” Mr Burrows but instead intend to rely on “hearsay evidence” in relation to his claims"

I thought hearsay evidence wasn't admissible in court - or is it different with this being a civil case?

Good question. From what I’ve quickly glanced at. Yes, for civil cases but the weight of that evidence is factored in. So it’s unlikely any weight will be attached to this guys first statement when he’s formally retracted and denied it now twice.

Yes, that would make sense, Atlusvue, but however it's sliced it still adds up to another embarrassment for Harry - as if he doesn't have enough already Hmm

I'd also like to know more about the alleged "inducements" offered by the claimant's side, but if they're not calling this guy at all perhaps that's something else we'll never find out about?

People went to war fighting for the right to choose, and the right of freedom of speech and expression for our country. Noone should be tell6ong anyone whether they should or shouldn't wear a poppy, this isnt a dictatorship and goes against everything those people who lost their lives fought for. What did Jon Snow say .. its like poppy facism when people start to tell you off for not wearing one.

There are millions of British people who dont wear them, UK celebrities/ famous people to. 🙄 not wearing a poppy doesnt mean you dont care.

Edited

Meghan ostentatiously wore one last year while making a video appearance with Harry filmed at their home, so not wearing one over the weekend when Harry did looks like a choice she made.

Meghan's back in the movies

And she wore one they made their “quiet” visit to the war cemetery in LA in 2020

There’s always a random Poppy kicking about at the bottom of your messy drawer

AtIusvue · 10/11/2025 19:33

Side bar: In 2025, a world of super drones and AI…..can anybody actually create a poppy that actually attaches/stays on your bloody coat!

Meg may have got away with it if she had said it fell off, thats believable.

That's quite interesting.

Why didn't they drop the gumshoe after the first retracted statement?

When were the 'inducement payments' being made?

Is 'hearsay' the same as 'my truth'?

And while I too hope it costs Harold do we know if he's paid previous costs associated with his cases yet?

No news about payment for previous cases Cathy ! Which normally means it’s being kept quiet because he hasn’t paid yet! 🙄

I’m a bit lost with H’s court cases . Is the security one done and dusted ?

BasiliskStare · 10/11/2025 20:35

Is there any public record about whether court costs have been paid , especially those brought against the government - which taxpayers might be interested in ? I don't know.

So? Choice or not a choice whatever she didnt wear one and? So what? Sometimes she wears it, sometimes she doesnt. Again so what? It doesn't make a person awful if they don't wear one all the time.

AtIusvue · 10/11/2025 20:37

Security case is done and he had to pay costs of 1.5 million. That feels glorious to write.

Yeah she flips and flops doesn't she. No staying power.

Is there anything Meghan could do that you would disapprove of ?

Mylovelygreendress · 10/11/2025 21:00

December 3rd is the start of the State visit by the German President.
Goodness , another coincidence!

Well what is there is to dispprove of right now? She is trying her hand at various things...good luck to her. Its doesn't impact me whatsoever so I don't see a need to criticise her for what she has been doing e.g. As Ever, instagram posts.

Why would I disapprove of what she wears, clothes, poppies...we all have the freedom to chose what we wear. Why would I want criticise someone over their choice? Is it harmful? No..does she wear things I would choose...not always but why would I disapprove of her choices?

What would I disapprove of...well if she broke the law and it harmed other people..Andrew being the best comparable here. Also if she defrauded people from their money. Basically anything criminal/ illegal. Other than that its her life she is living how she wants to and if its something I wouldn't personally do or wear I don't really judge people or criticise them for it, afterall we are all different and again we all have the freedom to make our own choices and live the life we want to and are happy to.

What about telling lies ?
