Do we know that? I thought so far all we know is he will live on the Sandringham estate, but not which building.

The BBC have reported it's not that property, which is called Wood Farm.

waitamo · 31/10/2025 17:39

Jeez, if William had held on for a bit, he could have had Royal Lodge as the forever home.

I think its only happening now because Andrew was the Queens favourite and she wasnt having any of it.
I expect Charles always planned to do it as soon as he could.

As soon as he could! Are you serious? Andrew's been embroiled in all sorts of unsavoury shit for years and the Queen died in 2022. One of the major criticisms of Charlie boy is that he's dragged his privileged feet over the whole sorry mess!

Rhaidimiddim · 31/10/2025 18:14

I am just puzzled as to why, a week-or-so after A's statement about not using his titles, the RF go scorched earth on him.

It sounded then like they had negotiated a deal.whereby he would go quietly.

So what riled them up to the point that they went proper nuclear?

Was A's statement him going rogue, perhaps?

Or did he backtrack on an agreement (for example, by demanding two houses instead of one, as reported) and the RF decided to give up on a negotiated settlement?

Perhaps they've seen new evidence that he has yet another skeleton about to be discovered.

Or perhaps KC3 is clesaning house (including putting H&M on notice to behave or else) as a gift to W while he still has time.

But why the sudden escalation when the trash was already being deal with?

I look forward to the Sunday papers, once all the hacks have had time to sound out their sources.

Because Andrew voluntarily choosing not to use titles he would still retain, whilst living rent-free in a royal mansion for the rest of his life, and failing to show any consideration for the victims of sexual abuse did not exactly quell the huge disquiet amongst the public. Andrew's statement about voluntarily giving up his titles was all about him and it made people even more angry.

That's why the latest statement specifically censures him and ends with a message about the victims and why the PM also reiterated that point.

QuenchedSquirrel · 31/10/2025 18:36

According to the Newsagents Charles told Andrew that he'd bring the whole monarchy down if he didn't do as he was told.

I am assuming it’s a warning shot to Harry. Charles had to set a precedent that the monarch is willing and prepared to strip titles if necessary.

FFS. Don’t you lot ever give it a rest?

JacknDiane · 31/10/2025 18:41

The determination to mention Harry on these threads about Andrew is laughable.

If you think that rapist Andrew can be compared in any way to Harry then you need to give your head a serious wobble

He’s not a rapist though.

I think it was the other way around. Andrew tried (and failed) to head things off by announcing he was giving up the titles that he knew were about to be removed.

waitamo · 31/10/2025 18:45

If anything the actions of Andrew Mountbatten and the response to it (so far) actually make H + M to look like angels, immature and messy angels but still. Their antics are trivial by comparison, and it may mean that they eventually come back into the fold of the RF, even if not to the UK.

That will just never happen

I know !

Desperation big time!

Sorry folks, Andrew is the bad guy
Not Harry.
Get used to it!

The BBC have reported it's not that property, which is called Wood Farm.

There’s plenty to choose from lots of the cottages on the estate are empty.

He's still going to live in luxury on the Sandringham Estate, paid for by KC, 2 miles from the main "house" and 4 miles from Anmer Hall..
Anyone who thinks he will be in any way "punished" is deluded
QEII paid VC off so the case didn't go to court and KC welcomed him back into the fold, even including going to church with the family
They are all parasitic grifters

Oh I think losing his titles and his London life I will be painful

Some people are just so desperate to use any chance to rubbish Harry, it is pathetic.

And can you really blame Harry for wanting his kids as far away from Andrew as possible? If people started to join a few dots ….
I don’t think Harry is as out in the cold as people think he is.

Agree

Harry made the right move there

The determination to mention Harry on these threads about Andrew is laughable.

They do have a point though. Before this I didn't realise it was possible for someone who was born a prince to have that title removed from them. Charles has now shown that when the monarch is very displeased by a member of their family's behaviour, they can and will remove titles, including those given from birth.
That must surely make Harry and Meghan think twice about any further trashing of the royal family. If Charles can do it to his brother then William, in his turn, could do it too.

jumpingthehighjump · 31/10/2025 18:53

Harry and Meghan are just living their lives, I wouldn't worry too much about them

waitamo · 31/10/2025 18:55

Imaginethatifyoucan · 31/10/2025 18:46

We thought removal of titles and lodgings would never happen with Andrew either!.

I'm convinced that H+M are just living their lives as they want to, and should be admired for getting away from the shitshow that is the RF. But I get the feeling that all is not lost there by any stretch. Especially now.

Theunamedcat · 31/10/2025 06:14

I think Sarah is no concern of the royal family anymore

He is in a private house rather than crown estate property yes?

Ah the private houses, where did they get the original money to buy these, who pays the upkeep.......we pay for everything and Andrews pay off etc will come from us.

waitamo · 31/10/2025 19:01

Regarding SF, I believe the palace said she would sort out her own living arrangements, or words to that effect.

Now to me that doesn't preclude her from moving in with Andy again. Unless there's something fundamental copperfastening the fact that she will never live with A again. Remember that yesterday she was co habiting, but today she's not.

The devil is in the detail, and how things are worded.

suburberphobe · 31/10/2025 19:17

lovely big grounds for shooting in.

How disgusting! Let those poor innocent animals live!

And we PAY TAXES to keep these despicable people in power. FFS!

'It would be good to catch up in person': Andrew email to Epstein released
published at 19:19

Breaking
Court documents newly disclosed in the US include an email Andrew sent to Jeffrey Epstein on 15 April 2010.
**
Crucially, that was after Epstein had admitted to forcing a child into prostitution and served a jail sentence.

No plans to remove Andrew from line of succession after losing royal titles, government says

Andrew remains eighth in line to the throne and it would take an act of Parliament to formally remove him.
