The royal family

Why didn’t Harry tell all about Andrew? And will A and S now spill the family secrets (please!)?

I’ve wondered why Harry stayed quiet about Andrew. Surely most - if not all - of the Royals knew more about his ‘activities’ than Jo Public will ever know?

Harry was so bothered about all the misinformation and ‘men in suits’ but seemed to leave Andrew alone. Would he have been subject to non-disclosure rulings, or whatever it is people in the public eye can get to prevent people telling their secrets?

Having seen how much Harry was paid, will Andrew and/or Sarah seek to get gazillions to expose the multitude of skeletons that must surely be in royal closets? What might those secrets be?!

Apologies if this idle nosiness isn’t in the spirit of ‘the royal family’ topic - they’re just a fascinating family and in the grand scheme of weird family dynamics, they’re right up there near the top! Even the most mundane of families have skeletons!

Well Jamaica are too busy with major hurricane devastation and seeking aid.

And the government are planning to leave the Commonwealth I think - happy to be corrected. I do get confused about who’s independent, who’s a dominion, who’s flounced out of the CW etc.

Agree. He didn’t write about his cousins, the Queen Mother, his aunts and uncles…not even that ridiculous relative who wore a racist brooch to meet Meghan.

So why pick on Catherine then? I can’t imagine why Harry, of all people, would want to wage the war against her which he has done.it seems SO disproportionate especially in the light of recent events.

I don’t really see it was waging war. I read Spare and can’t remember everything in it but there was nothing especially awful about her. Or William or Charles for that matter. Sure he told the story of why it all went sour for him and Meghan within the royal family but he couldn’t really tell it without showing how they were part of that. But my feeling at the end of it was sympathy for all them - they’re all human and no one was completely in the right and no one was completely in the wrong. As is normally the way of things.

"Flounced" - a very patronising description of independent democratic countries choosing to step away from their colonial past.

But the racism allegations were very much focused on her?

Not his story to tell and probably didn’t know anyway

I have no issue with that, and personally feel the cw has run its course (it was an institution very much beloved by QEII). But, for eg, the PM of Jamaica is always teasing about his referendum…rather than just getting on with it. If you want to leave an organisation- just do it. Is anyone standing in his way? I doubt it.

Sorry not RTFT but I’ve said this before, I very much suspect Andrew has met MM before having been a yacht girl, these circles don’t go that wide I suspect, and no doubt she’d have been sniffing after a prince …. He perhaps could even have suggested PH as a potential victim * *Husband?! I also suspect his punch to Andy would have had something to do with MM, but whatever the weather, I suspect they both have dirt on each other / spouses

Did they ever confirm who made the comment about what colour the baby’s skin would be? I thought they didn’t but I could be wrong.

Or is that not the allegation you mean?

I think you might have read a little too much Jackie Collins in your youth…

I may be wrong here but I thought that the Dutch reprint / translation had the comment that it was KC and Kate … but then again there’s always some sort of nasty angle to MM and Hazza, likely planted on purpose so it ‘looks more likely to be true’ …

Prince Andrew did not “pick” Harry as a match for Meghan.

Is there substantiated hard proof of Meghan ever being a 'Yacht girl'

I'm far from being a fan. But there needs to be proof. And not just from the same places that are anti-Meghan.

Sorry - it’s absolutely NOT intended to be a H & M bashing thread! I really like them both and dislike the bashing.

TBH I hadn’t thought about the age gap when it was all going on, and H being at boarding school, but I did think maybe it would’ve been spoken about when he was older.

I’ve just seen a post on another thread blaming Virginias younger brother who was a child at the time, and now this one putting some blame on Harry who was a child! Some posters are getting very desperate.

All records relating to Liz’s involvement in the cover up won’t see the light of day for many years. Unless someone in the know writes a tell-all book I suppose.

Dog What GIF by MOODMAN

You think "Liz's" knowledge of it all is somehow documented ?

Virginia’s father and brother are both called Sky. I think the post you refer to has been misunderstood to refer to her brother when her father was meant.

I’m fairly sure Jamaicas not talking about leaving the commonwealth of nations - that’s the organisation. Jamaica intends to change its head of state and become a republic. - no longer be a Commonwealth realm, ie Charles will no longer be its head of state. Two different things. Many of the countries who are members of the commonwealth don’t have Charles as head of state.

56 nations are members of the commonwealth. Much fewer are Commonwealth realms with Charles as head of state. Maybe 14 or 16?

Edited

At 12.39 on the other thread. I’m fairly sure the post refers to her brother. He was interviewed on the ABC with Amanda Roberts who I think is Virginia’s sister in law.

“I was thinking the same when I saw Skye and Amanda being interviewed last night - where was he when Virginia was being abused as a child, or when she was away from home "working" at a very young age”.
