Why is there more online vitriol towards Megan Markle than Andrew?

ladykale · 22/10/2025 10:21

I find it ridiculous how there is consistent hate towards Megan markle when she does pretty low key things like launching jam that no one is being forced to buy. People were delighted that she is no longer using HRH titles and even said she shouldn’t call herself the Duchess of Sussex (even though that is distinct from royal titles).

On the flip side - NO ONE has called for an actual investigation into Prince Andrew on the days that he claimed to be at Pizza Express in Woking, when his movements are logged by the royal gamily and his security detail so they eill
know exactly where he was!

He slept with an underage victim of sex trafficking who
conveniently died by suicide shortly before her memoir naming and shaming many individuals came out.

Limited criticism of the late Queen who used £12million
pg her personal money to pay off an underage sec trafficking victim & shielded him from any investigation.

Disgusted by it all and was amused to see the vitriol on an article about Megan breathing, whereas limited calls for Andrew to be investigated by any U.S or UK authorities!

WHY?

It’s very clear that a discussion will never really be possible until those who defend Meghan and Harry except that they are not beyond criticism, not beyond being held accountable for their own behaviour.
that they are not infallible.

You mean discussion is only possible when people agree with your opinion?

I don’t think anyone has ever said that H&M are infallible.

That’s not an insult, it’s just pointing out that it’s ridiculous to suggest the UK isn’t safe for megs and the kids .. that’s a ridiculous statement

You said ‘don’t be ridiculous’ - that is an insult.

That was the first time I have actually used the comment “ school girl “ so that’s an exaggeration, also you term it an “insult “ , yet far worse comments have been made without you picking them up .
I am always “civil “ thankyou , even in the face of extreme provocation.
as I’m sure you would have noticed before making your initial comment it wasn’t that poster who initially brought up clarkson , it was the poster she was replying too.
now please explain without being sarcastic .

I didn’t say you had used the comment before, but it was unnecessary. Your post was loaded with condescension and the overall tone was insulting so I’ve asked you to stop and remain civil. I have been polite throughout and will continue to be because that is who I am and how I communicate.

I have explained, I can’t explain any further. If you don’t personally understand what I’m saying, I don’t know how else to say it so I’ll just have to leave it there.

When even the slightest criticism is labelled “hate “ No , when every lie that is pointed out is brushed aside and written off No .
when any poster who tries to answer the ops question in good faith gets piled on and attacked. No .
and I would argue that it’s the other way round, discussion is only possible if people agree with your opinion.

@BeeWitchy

“If I was Meghan I would have been too frightened to leave my house after seeing that in a national newspaper. I certainly wouldn’t be coming back to the country it originated from.”

If Meghan is too frightened of the nasty U.K. it might be better for her mental health and general happiness if she cuts all ties such as her title ? It must be difficult having a constant reminder of such a truly awful time in her life ?

Mylovelygreendress · 26/11/2025 08:48

Talking of names , I noted that there was some speculation on a now full thread about my user name ! I can assure you it refers to a dress I BOUGHT for a wedding several years ago . It was very expensive and a beautiful shade of green .
It was dry clean only ( impractical but hey ho) . Unfortunately DH put it in the washing machine 😢
My lovely green dress was no more ….

It took me about 25 years, but my DH now asks about my clothes re washing / drying - the amount of grey whites / ruined tops and shrunken clothes would fill a recycling skip!

I’m so sorry to hear that mylovely !
it was Ida and myself that were wondering about the origins of your dress! 😉🤣

I feel your pain, @Mylovelygreendress. I machine washed (on delicates) a heavily beaded chiffon dress and it shrank to the size of a doll’s. I tried stretching it and ripped it beyond repair.

I’m not ashamed to say that trying to find its replacement became something of an obsession. Also unsuccessful.

Some things you just have to let go when it’s obvious you aren’t winning…

ozarina · 26/11/2025 10:34

There's more in the press today about Meghan and Harry meeting - yes old news but when you didn't read it first time around you see it for what time has revealed it to be - lies and exaggeration. The case in point Meghan talking about the Botswana trip - what a load of old tripe. And people wonder why they are ridiculed.

Why is there more online vitriol towards Megan Markle than Andrew?

I wouldn’t be believing that thicko about being safe anywhere - he probably thinks all the animals are following the IPP protocol for
their safari ….’ Doh they can’t attack us we’re too important ‘ 🤡🤡🤣

Context matters. Harry explains in Spare that staff stress was misrepresented by the press, not caused by Meghan, but internal strefull dynamics with other houses and press, the narrative was used in smear campaign , but they were prevented to explain what was truly going on. Cherry-picking lines out of context, twisting it expecting people to not being able to read is disingenuos and ignores the hate campaign behind those stories, which is what your sources are repeating.

Edited

Harry also said in Spare he received a phone call whilst at Eton to say the queen mother had died when in fact he was skiing with his father.
So we know there are untruths in Spare.
How do we know what to believe?

I think, he knows more of the timeline of his own life than you, or any speculation or mismatch of events.

I think, he knows more of the timeline of his own life than you, or any speculation or mismatch of events.

But he doesn't.

It was widely reported at the time of the Queen Mothers death - Charles, William and Harry were on a skiing holiday. They had posed for photos a day or so before. Then the QM died and they flew home. So Harry wasn't a school when he was told about her death.

It isn't speculation, it is facts.

Don’t be ridiculous, Harry and Megain want IPP status for prestige, entitlement, power and money only - they use the kids as leverage, oh dear we can’t being the children and megs fo the UK as we don’t get security’ … yes you do, it’s just you want security on your terms and you’re not getting it … we don’t care about the kids or Megan coming to the UK, but they’re denying their kids access to their wider families … the people they’re actually hurting … surprise … their children

Sorry but I think it is extremely presumptuous to disparage a couple for denying their dc access to their wider family when you don’t know either party and don’t know for sure what has gone on behind closed doors.

How would you like a stranger on the internet judging your parental choices?

H&M may have judged that their dc are better off outside the toxicity and disfunctionality of the RF and you know what, even if they are wrong, it’s their decision and no one else’s.

If you were prepared to acknowledge he had possibly made a mistake here then you would be much more credible.
There are photos of him in Switzerland the day before.

You are not interested in the truth, you just want to believe everything he says.

Take for example Fairgamer who has just told me I am speculating about Harry being in Switzerland not in Eton when the queen mother died. There is clear evidence of him being in Switzerland.
I have a lot more respect for someone who can acknowledge Harry and Megan have done somethings wrong or made some mistakes than those who blindly defend them:

To be fair the poster is Australian perhaps their news didn’t report the queen mother’s death like they did here ? 🤷‍♀️ , so maybe they didn’t see the concrete proof complete with news reports and pictures of Charles, Harry and William being interviewed then flown home from their skiing trip ( which was noteworthy because they don’t normally all fly together) .

I never said I'm Australian I said I liver in Australia. The person asked if I'm Australian or lived there. But honestly your stalker ways are bizarre and assumptions of my persona is funny even, and deeply bizarre.

So after I tried to think of a reasonable explanation for why you would completely dismiss something that is concrete, factual and witnessed by most of the U.K. as rubbish, you are upset that it was noted that you told the other posters on the Australian thread “ yes “ to the question of whether you were Australian or lived there!

So do you accept that Harry doesn't know 'more about the timeline of his life' than the posters here?
