How have I only just realised this about Prince Andrew …

I don’t know if I’m just oblivious to things but how have I only just realised Prince Andrew was 41 when he met Virginia Guiffre.

For some reason I thought this happened in the mid 80’s before he was married and definitely before children.

Knowing how old he was and that he had children just makes it so much more shocking (not that it needed to be).

Was anyone else blind to this?

I've just started reading the new book...what a sad, heartbreaking read. May you rest in peace Virginia.

He mentioned his daughter's and having a birthday party at a pizza place for either Beatrice or Eugenie as an alibi during the Maitlis interview, which is the part that helps me orient the timeline, otherwise I'd be confused too..

In the picture of him with Giuffre he does look considerably younger, and still fit, so maybe that's where your confusion arose, though he was divorced at this time.

That is also a bit weird since I assumed he and Fergie still had an undercover sexual relationship as more or less still unofficially married people because they remained so close after their divorce.

Extracurricular sex always on menu for both I think. Both, if Lownie is right, & as evidence would suggest, had alley cat morals.

Exactly, who are the others?

Here Virginia’s ghostwriter explains why. It’s basically because these are very powerful men who would have involved her in endless legal action ‘to clear their names’. She feared that she would spend the rest of her life in court, defending herself.

NB: the prime minister who abused her is apparently mentioned on Twitter, or whatever it is called these days.

Exactly. An easy mark of little consequence to those hiding in plain site in the US.

Republicans, Democrats, your favourite Hollywood star - they were all there.

Just like Diddy's "white parties" so may powerful, high profile people were there, some were even photographed looking at you, DiCaprio but none of them saw a thing.

Also @Sarover is the PM in question a former PM of a European country? They were my first thought when I read your post.

Do you know what I found so shocking?

Is that Andrew is the only man named and pilloried (if not convicted). Andrew is a useful fall guy and a drop in the ocean.

Wherw the hell are all the other men? I can guarantee they are they at the highest levels of power and influence, especially in the US.

Yes, Andrew deserves everything that’s happening to him and more.

But while we’re all looking at him, we’re not looking anywhere else. And we should be, if we actually care about the girls like Virginia.

(Sorry, OP, a just crashing yours as the latest Andrew thread this week.)

I completely agree with you and I despair that they will ever be brought to book. It appears to go to the very highest levels of power, truly shocking.

Well yes he was a divorced 40 ish, who thought he was irresistible to women. I guess not many had ever said no to him as a prince and I doubt it crossed his mind that she might not have been thrilled about having sex with him.

Tiredofbullsit · 21/10/2025 17:32

Regularmumm · 20/10/2025 19:29

I agree he’s the fall guy. Didn’t the paedo ringleader keep a little black book of all the other paedos he invited to his island? Wonder where this black book is now.

I also don’t understand why Andrew paid Virginia Giuffre an out of court settlement for her to drop her claims against him while at the same time insisting he’s never met her. How does that work??

It work the same as every other settlement. The person sued makes the case ‘go
away’ without the risk of further reputational
damage from hashing it all out in court. It generally is less costly than running the case. This case if run would have overshadowed the jubilee, and as we now know, the Queen was dying,

Sarover · 21/10/2025 17:34

@AnAlpacaForChristmasPleaseSanta it's a high profile ex PM of a non European country. A country which is in the news a lot at the moment.

It was a violent rape, she was left bleeding and injured.

Tiredofbullsit · 21/10/2025 17:37

sashh · 21/10/2025 11:14

And now we find out he asked his police protection officer to dig up any dirt, on a woman he cannot remember ever meeting. And he knew her social security number, even though he can't remember meeting her.

Was that not after she accused him?

Ah thank you. Berlusconi was who I was thinking of but I'm pretty sure I now know who you mean.

That poor, poor woman. I just hope she's getting some of the peace now that she was deprived of during her time on earth.

Enrichetta · 21/10/2025 17:47

In the interview I linked above, her ghostwriter says that VG pinned her hopes on Trump releasing the Epstein files, which are said to name the other abusers. He has not done so, and it doesn't look like he is going to.

NB: The PM in the news is from a country starting with I.

This is exactly what I was thinking! Who was the other big name previously mentioned that now seems way under the radar?? Trump! Funny that, isn’t it.

According to Amy Wallace, Trump - though socialising with Epstein - was not one of the men VG was forced to 'service'.

Im surprised why some people seem to think it is surprising that men at 40 have sex with younger women. It's very common. The richer the person the more common it is.

There's a 24 year age gap between Donald and Melania Trump. They moved in Epsteins circles.

Wasntmeanttobelikethis · 21/10/2025 18:19

When I read your title, thought you were going to say ‘ that Andrew, allegedly, is the biological son of Lord Carnarvon, not PP’
Photographic evidence, in my opinion, confirms this

If Trump is implicated (which it is widely assumed he is) why would he release the files? Because his own guilt is baked-in and he wants to take down the Democrats by exposing Clinton?

It is beginning to feel like a witch hunt because of his royal connections.

Totally grubby. RAndy and all the rest of these yucky men. They should all be shamed.

Of course he should be held to account. But is this a distraction from more powerful men who are getting a free pass?

Trump? Clinton?
