Given he's got Parkinsons that won't be happening anytime soon

Imagining Piers Morgan interviewing. Or Andrew Neil .
Would pay good money for that!

All I can imagine is Meghan fluttering her eyelashes, playing at being the totally innocent ingenue while squeezing a tear from her left eye while Harry turns beetroot and mumbles about absolutely nothing relating to the question.
It would be vomit or rage-inducing for sure.

What would you say is the end goal of her tenacity?

A very very very rich man. Preferably one who doesn’t keep banging on about his dysfunctional family and expecting her to care and look interested. Must have own jet.

I know, as it’s been common knowledge for years, didn’t realise I had to put a disclaimer.

Laserwho · 15/10/2025 13:55

So looks like Meghan is trying to be like Victoria Beckham now. Wearing very similar clothes and inviting herself to the Paris fashion show on the same weekend Victorias netflix show comes out about her life and her fashion show in Paris. Carnt she ever do something original? Yep Meghan wasn't invited, she invited herself. The woman is getting crazier by the second.

ThePoshUns · 15/10/2025 15:31

It’s great entertainment for us plebs though!

Tubestrike · 15/10/2025 18:43

If Meghan thinks she can now have a go in the fashion industry, I think she'll be disappointed (again). Her Shop Me suddenly disappeared which would indicate that it wasn't massively successful, her fashion sense is somewhat questionable and it took VB 20 years to become successful and I don't know that she's got the staying power for it.

BigWillyLittleTodger · 15/10/2025 19:14

As much as I like Victoria her success is smoke and mirrors, her company was 38 million in the red according to her documentary, an investor has stepped in now but I can’t see how she will ever be in the black let alone in profit, I presume the 38 million has been recouped with interest before anything else, her make up and beauty line is apparently doing well though. If Meghan thinks that copying Victoria is going to make her a fortune she is going to be very disappointed, the only way Meghan would make money is being the face of a company and launching het own line within that company so they take any financial hit and not her, in effect becoming an employee.

OctopusFriend · 15/10/2025 19:33

You've got to be a personality that people like and identify with, though. People buy the Kylie Jenner makeup, Dolly Parton's range, Lulu's. Meghan just isn't likable.

Plus ultimately the product has to be good. I am awful with eyeliner but I bought the VB one because people were raving about it. I love the makeup looks on the website too. Next time I have a big night out, I plan to visit somewhere that stocks VB and have a splurge. Not because I like VB (I do) but I like the products and the image she has curated.

OctopusFriend · 15/10/2025 20:04

Yes, I think that's true. Fashion is a whole other game as well.

Not2identifying · 15/10/2025 20:12

It seems that make-up and beauty are less risky than fashion.

This. I'm surprised at people waxing lyrical about VB. Without the Beckham Brand money behind her she would never be where she is today. I don't think Harry has the necessary to back such a venture over such a long period of time.

OctopusFriend · 17/10/2025 08:53

VB is good at one thing, self promotion. She, her husband and her children are all part of a brand.
This is very similar to Meghan; not really a person of much talent, but very good at self promotion. I think she sees "Sussex" as a brand, hence her insistence on that in the hostess programme.

MaturingCheeseball · 17/10/2025 09:12

I’ve been watching the VB documentary. I would say, no matter where the money originated (look at Stella McCartney - hardly self-made) she does graft.

About halfway through episode 1 I thought, “This is Meghan’s next move!” Except that Meghan does not graft. She grifts. Never mind learning about fabric, cut, doing the time - it’ll be the same as As Ever, straight in there as a Female Founder. Well, just a Famous Female really.

OctopusFriend · 17/10/2025 09:13

I had to laugh at Meghan's latest gig talking about herself - who knew she was an expert at gift wrapping?

Good points, VB has certainly worked hard at this.

Well therein lies Meghan’s problem really. If she wanted a wealthy backer, she should have stuck to her original plan of bagging a footballer or other sports star. I think she thought she had hit the jackpot with an actual prince, but didn’t really think through how being a member of the British RF would actually be limiting on her personal ambitions. Or that the vast wealth they have is very much tied to the job

OctopusFriend · 17/10/2025 09:18

Yes, she definitely misunderstood how wealthy he was in terms of disposable cash.
She also seemed to be unaware that she couldn't merch her role in the RF.
