Only my thoughts - and I know as much as anyone here!

Serenster · 12/10/2025 16:04

william is so desperate for publicity now calling on the bereaved unofficially and then dropping them. He should be reigned in to behave like ha Royal. Unthinking royals sometime impair or interfere with the trained professionals. Royals should work according to schedules and rules.

Let’s look at what actually happened, shall we?

It was World Mental Health day earlier this week.
On World Mental Heath Day Prince William's Royal Foundation announced it is contributing £1m to develop a National Suicide Prevention Network.
That network will include 20 organisations.
One of those is the Welsh charity 2wish
William visited the CEO of 2wish, Rhian Mannings, who spoke about why she had founded the charity back in 2012.
William had visited one of the other Welsh charities in the Network, the Jac Lewis Foundation, last month.

So you couldn’t be more wrong, really.

I haven't seen anything about their security coverage in NYC - no shots of NYPD, no claims of stalkers in NYC. Looks like our new NYPD handled his visit well.

No but they did get stuck in traffic which made them late.

Agree, what can KC really do to control Harry? Probably the only thing he could do to shut him up would be to start funding him again, or to welcome him back to half in half out - and I think most people are in agreement that Charles should stay firm on that.

beyond asking him not to embarrass him by trying to undermine the court processes, which I’m sure he has done, his hands are somewhat tied.

Its really just baffling that Harry thinks he’s still going to get somewhere by continuing to harass different people about this issue, when it’s now been ruled on multiple occasions that his security provision and the decision making process is fair and sound.

You are right, I can only imagine that he's so entitled and self absorbed, he thinks he'll get what he wants

As I understand it, the UK.
He wants the UK taxpayer to pay for top level armed security whenever he turns up in the UK, and doesn't want to give any notice.
It failed in the courts, so now he's directly lobbying ministers.
Oh, and I'm curious to see if he's paid court costs or if that's on us as well.

It’s also about the intel government security services are privy to that a private service wouldn’t be. This is a sticking point because although Harry claimed to have offered to pay for the service, clearly the British government can’t be selling covertly gathered and protected intel.

Also official government security confers a level of status which overseas governments are more likely to recognise so it has ramifications for his/their worldwide travel. All very important if you need to attract funding from a wide area.

It also makes you question just how serious he is about any 'reconciliation' with his father, given that the King couldn't be seen to be involved with him while the issue was going through the courts.

Sorry! So can you literally pay for someone to give you an award then?
Surely not ! ( no sarcasm intended)

I find it hard to believe that H and M pay for anything, let alone made up awards that even they must be aware are meaningless. I expect they only went because the nanny insisted and then they remembered that if you fly in a borrowed private jet the airmiles don’t count so win win. And anyway, they have apple trees in their garden AND the borrowed garden they use for photo shoots, so are offsetting their carbon footprint times two.

He is desperately trying to retain status and privileges as he must know he is becoming less relevant the longer he is away from the U.K. The Wales DC are growing up and will soon start creating headlines and in the not too distant future , Harry’s place in the LOS will drop way down . I wonder how he will cope with that ?
I was reading about the Duke of Gloucester who was 5th in the LOS when born and is now 36th .
That’s Harry’s future .

There is an argument that what he really still wants is IPP status, which would protect him from any consequences if he has been careless around legal requirements for his charities

Come again, @bluegreygreen? The IPP thing has always blown my mind, but I thought it was mainly about security and didn't realise it came with these kind of exemptions too?

I hadn't realised either that Harry's STILL pestering about his security, so apart from the toddler-like behaviour what tthe hell did he think the last court case was about?

Normal people gathered that Ravec had behaved correctly in reaching their decision, but then I suppose Harry isn't a normal person in any way, least of all mentally

Letmeoutodhere · 12/10/2025 19:27

I honestly don’t think he has anything to do. He must be bored rigid. So he spends a lot of time fuming and feeling aggrieved and complaining. His full time occupation is to find ways he’s been done down.

OctopusFriend · 12/10/2025 19:29

I agree that he doesn't have much to do. I think if he had found something productive, which gave him something to fill his days, it might have helped. Mentally as well as physically.

Was that the main driving force for Harry meeting with KCIII, he wanted ask him, again, to intervene regarding his existing security arrangement?

Would go some way to explain why it was only 50mins.

Bank of Pa.
Wanting property in the UK.
Children's school fees.

Is IPP status equivalent to diplomatic status? If so then it's literally a get out of jail free card, thinking of the woman married to an American diplomat who killed a motorcyclist in a careless driving incident but can't be forced to serve her sentence.

Yes, according to some sources, Harry believed that when they left the UK, he would have IPP status.
Free and high level protection wherever he went and high status like Obama, for example.
