He's the son of the King.

And will be the brother of the next King

we grew up with him around during QE2's reign

the discord on here for Harry is becoming laughable. Posters desperate to dig him out at every opportunity

Id welcome him back and I'm sure there are others that would too. Not on MN though.

Relevant to what?

shellyleppard · 13/09/2025 16:16

Op you are entitled to your opinion but do you really need to share it with everyone??

OklahomaSunsets · 13/09/2025 16:26

I think the all the Royals are irrelevant to most people.

Permittedperson · 13/09/2025 16:27

None of the royals are relevant to me.

CasualDayHasGoneTooFar · 13/09/2025 16:27

But he's not relevant. None of them are.

IcedPurple · 13/09/2025 16:29

Is Prince Edward relevant to you OP?

FuzzyWolf · 13/09/2025 16:34

Surely by that logic Andrew is relevant?

Mylovelygreendress · 13/09/2025 16:36

Princess Margaret was the daughter then sister of a Monarch. When her son ( David Linley ) born he was 5th in the LOS. How relevant is he now to the Monarchy? Could you recognise him in the street ?
As the Wales DC grow up and have their own families , Harry will be as relevant as David Linley to the RF.

He's only relevant to you OP. Maybe Meghan at times but she seems to be getting slightly pissed off with him too.

CurlewKate · 13/09/2025 16:51

The RF isn’t relevant. The DofS is even less relevant than most of the others.

FrippEnos · 13/09/2025 16:54

How is he relevant?

TizerorFizz · 13/09/2025 16:55

He’s relevant when he wants publicity and gets it. Self serving in my opinion. To get back in with the RF.

Dearg · 13/09/2025 17:03

I am not sure any of us get our relevance from our relatives ( son of king, brother of future king - so what?), but by our lives.

I think Harry did a good thing donating to Children in Need, that will help UK based kids. He did a shit thing by suing over his security, that has cost the UK taxpayers money we could do without wasting - unless he has paid All costs.

I wish him and his family no ill; but their lives are not terribly relevant to me.

LidlAmaretto · 13/09/2025 17:07

The RF is irrelevant to many people in the UK ( and to most people under 65 I would think) but Harry was always going to become more and more irrelevant to the Royal Family, because that's how the system works and how they treat their own. The only important ones are the firstborns. The rest are there to prop up the Monarch in return for handouts. Harry was stupid enough to think he was important to his family over and above that. At least Andrew had an indulgent and adoring mother who made him think he was untouchable (he was for a long time) and more important than he was.

TizerorFizz · 13/09/2025 17:29

How can he “come back”? Without his wife? He’s not a working Royal and didn’t want that life. He’s the spare in his marriage. It’s his permanent role.

ILovedThe90s · 13/09/2025 17:30

Harry will always be part of the Royal Family by birth, but in terms of public relevance, it’s a different picture. The latest YouGov polling (May 2025) shows Harry’s UK favourability at only 27% positive vs 63% negative, which puts him near the bottom of the royal rankings. For comparison, William is on 70% positive, and Catherine around 72%. That doesn’t suggest the majority would welcome him back into royal life, even if some individuals still support him.

Some of us would rather he stayed in that hole he dug himself.

Snorlaxo · 13/09/2025 17:37

He is relevant to the tabloids because clicks = revenue.

Oh Come on! That’s the whole point of a chat forum! 🤣🤣. And we’re all reading your opinion too.

Sorry Haza you reap what you sow.

I'm team Harry all the way, it's a hill I'm prepared to die on. I think he's had a shit time, and it's history repeating itself with the way people treated his mother.

In what way has he had a shit time ?
And in what way is he being treated the same as his mother ?

He’s his mothers son, down to earth, warm, fun, normal so much better than his boring brother.
