It’s funny on MN too that it was all “Harry hates the UK, he’s loving life with his little family in California, he’s so happy, he had to escape the cage of the awful royal family” ad infinitum - and now… say what? Suddenly there are numerous posts about welcoming him back .

I wonder who agrees or suggests to Harry that he should try to assimilate back into the British RF? Is it PR? Is it Meghan? I highly doubt this. Is it himself? What happened to the Mercy Flight? Does he have a short memory?

Anyway, I hope that he’s now on better terms with his Pa and spends more time with him-but I imagine that but KC will always be careful around him. Harry may not think that he’s aired his dirty laundry, but I doubt that anyone in the RF agrees with that sentiment.

I imagine that William wonders whether it’ll happen again if they reconcile.. Will Harry turn on him again if William (when he’s king) refuses a request, for example?

People don't change their personalities just because they've got whatever they want in the moment; they might "play nice" for a while but soon revert when the next thing comes along, and the huge amount of Harry's personality he's now displaying ain't pretty

Unfortunately when William becomes king that will be a huge new revenue stream for Harry giving the inside scoop of what his big brother is really like.

But would people believe him ? Apart from the SS don’t most people realise that he ( and his wife) have a very loose relationship with the truth?

@wordler Well yes so William simply can’t risk ever being close to him again, I.e., giving him any fresh meat for books and interviews. It would be exactly the same if one of Kate’s siblings wrote a book or gave interviews -she’d have to keep them at a distance.

People may describe William as stubborn, but he’s been put in such a difficult position and he has to protect his wife and children first

Very likely yes, wordler, but now Harry's credibility's well over the horizon I doubt anyone with sense would take his word for it

The reality is though that he would have to say something “substantial” for it to have any impact - and God knows what he could come out with when desperate times call for desperate measures.

I disagree. As we know from the Lownie books, what Harry revealed in his book was pretty mild! I’ve always thought there was a lot he left out tbh.

For Harry to release more about William and more likely Catherine after Charles passing he is reliant on William continuing the "never complain, never explain". Out of the two brothers and the freedom they had or lack of i'd lay money on William having the juicer gossip.

The other person with even more juicy gossip is MM. Be interesting to see when she deploys her autobiography……

I suspect if she ever does get around to writing a book, the focus will not be on the royals she barely knew, but on the one she married.

I would love to know the definitive answer to this one but my gut feel is PRH having had their greedy little maulers burnt on the 'Waaagh' deal have no appetite for further tomes and that the original deal had much more wriggle room (on PRH side) than we've been led to believe hence them not pursuing further output arduously.

Both Pippa and James Middleton have written books. Pippa's was a widely derided book about party planning that was completely benign. James' book was an autobiography, but it was very much about himself and his dogs. He barely touched on Catherine and when he did it was respectful.

I think Catherine probably has more to fear from Uncle Gary.

Not sure why you think that @JADS ? Catherine and William have been together for 20+ years and Uncle Gary hasn’t written a book or said anything too bad - other than criticise Harry . ( not excusing DV allegations)
The Middletons are a close knit and very discreet family . For instance Adam Middleton ( C’s cousin) is Charlotte’s Godfather but to the best of my knowledge has never uttered a word in public about his cousin.,

No, I can’t see the Middleton siblings ever sharing private conversations, etc. with the public. Happily, they all seem to love each other.
