The royal family

Prince Harry has just donated 1.1 million out of his own money to children in need

This is bigger than any donation from William or Charles to charity.

Megan has consistently rolled her sleeves up, she's literally turned up with food to feed the homeless on Christmas day and to feed and try and empower those forced into sex work.

William is funded directly or indirectly by us tax payers

The UK would make more money from tourism without a royal family.

Why are there daily hate posts on Harry? He's not costing us anything.

And no - the BBC did not pay the 1.1 million on Harry's behalf.

How do you know he gave that donation? 🤔

SnowFrogJelly · 11/09/2025 01:12

Well he can afford it

Awobabobob · 11/09/2025 01:12

Go back to bed, Megan

Well, to start with, he can use it as a tax write-off.

I don't think photo ops on the burned remains of houses or ignoring African Parks show his charitable abilities in a good light.

BTW, has he repaid the UK for all the money the UK had to spend on those senseless lawsuits?

BemusedAmerican · 11/09/2025 04:45

And I don't consider handing a sex worker a banana with a message written on it with a sharpie to be empowering them.

And oddly enough, Prince Wiiliam's charities are not registered in Delaware, a state that has extremely lax rules for charity oversight.

By writing on bananas?

William is funded directly or indirectly by us tax payers

The Prince of Wales is funded primarily through the Duchy of Cornwall.

ChimpanzeeThatMonkeyNews · 11/09/2025 13:47

I thought he didn’t have a pot to piss in?

MyElatedUmberFinch · 11/09/2025 13:49

Is that you Megan?

chunkybear · 11/09/2025 13:50

Awobabobob · 11/09/2025 01:12

Go back to bed, Megan

🤣🤣 it’ll be their day time …. But possibly down a bottle or two of rose 🍾

BruFord · 11/09/2025 13:51

I agree that it’s nice that he’s done this. He inherited a lot of money and it’s great that he wants to share some of it with less fortunate people.

IdaGlossop · 11/09/2025 13:53

Nice donation, Harry, but you are very rich. Good to see you following Meredith's advice and focusing on philanthropy and not dissing the Brits.

pottylolly · 11/09/2025 13:59

It’s great that he’s donated. No doubt we’ll soon hear of a huge donation from Will & copy- Kate soon.

chunkybear · 11/09/2025 13:59

Harry isn’t costing the UK tax payers because he’s been told ‘no’ … otherwise he’d gladly take take take for security and any other perks he and his gold digging wife could grab with their sticky hands!
with regards to Megain …. All those publicity stunts she’s done are for PR and let’s not forget those immoral words ‘I can’t believe I’m not being paid for this’ … so now she tries to cosplay Diana to win the worlds attention, except the world sees straight through the thinly veiled narc

Zov · 11/09/2025 14:03

That's nice of him.

He has a long way to go to make up for his shitty behaviour over the past few years though.

Hospitalcorners52 · 11/09/2025 14:03

Good for Harry!

And great that he returned to visit the grass roots charities in Nottingham!

If we have to have royalty; that’s what they should be doing imho!

Fluffyholeysocks · 11/09/2025 14:03

Remind me again just how many Christmas Day's there are for her to consistently roll her sleeves up?

Screamingabdabz · 11/09/2025 14:05

“The UK would make more money from tourism without a royal family.”

Ok… 🙄

ajandjjmum · 11/09/2025 14:08

Or was it the payment from the BBC for the interview after he lost the latest law case? BBC paying in to their own charity on his behalf? Sadly, it's Harry's pattern of behaviour that has made me cynical!

With regard to William and Catherine - didn't they pay £12 million out in donations according to their Foundation's latest accounts? Of course, they don't shout about it, just quietly carry on.

CheeseCakeSunflowers · 11/09/2025 14:19

Many people donate to charity, most do not make an announcement about it. This reminds me of the story of The Widow's Mite.

PrincessofWells · 11/09/2025 14:24

I would imagine he was able to donate from the inheritance from the Queen Mother which became available on his 40th birthday- so I daresay the tax advantages to donating played a part. Plus of course it came from his position within the family who he appears to despise.

bluegreygreen · 11/09/2025 14:55

@OneSharpFinch

A quote from Richard Eden (DM Royal Editor) today:

A royal source told me: ‘Members of the Royal Family often make personal donations to charities, but when they do so, they do not boast about the amount given.’

JustineRobots · 11/09/2025 14:56

Why are there daily hate posts on Harry? He's not costing us anything.

People are probably wondering why, if he can afford to give away £1.1m, a man approaching 40 gave a sob story interview about his father “cutting him off financially”. Or why he didn’t use that money to pay for private security when he wanted to visit the UK.

By the way, where do you think “his own money” came from?

dayswithaY · 11/09/2025 15:02

You have no idea how much money, if any, Charles, William or Catherine donate to charity as like a lot of people, they may prefer to keep this private.

It’s interesting that we are now all fully aware of just how generous Harry is though.
