I think he's going cap in hand to ask for money. I really hope he's not got the nerve to ask to come back!

The truly scary thing about the monarchy is that if Harry had been born first he would be the future King and Meghan Queen. It doesn’t bear thinking about, though I’m sure Harry spends a lot of time feeling bitter and twisted about it.

He really needs to start keeping his big mouth shut.

I don't think he's capable of it anymore.

The Oprah interview appears to have kickstarted the verbal equivalent of 'breaking the seal'.

bluegreygreen · 28/09/2025 10:05

They just unilaterally decided.

In the same way as they decided about their 'progressive new role' without asking the Queen.

Yes, I have started to think Harry creates a narrative in his head and then beleives it. A narrative that’s not anchored in reality. He creates this narrative when his reality doesn’t make him happy, so he simply creates a new one and firmly beleives it to be true.

we have had countless examples of Harry’s alternate reality, from the examples in his books, where when asked about thr factual inaccuracies he simply said that’s how his memory or mind work. It was his truth.

now he’s decided he is going to start appearing in public with his father, that he will come to the invictus games, maybe so will William, that the British public want this, that he never washed his dirty linen in public with his book and interviews, a whole alternate reality that is far from the truth.

i wonder if he started doing this as a child, where he created new realities in his mind, and then believed it, and whatever pretend reality he creates suits his needs at that time, when his actual reality was too damaging for him to accept.

Some sort of delusional disorder because I think it’s becoming very clear he is deeply deluded.

MargaretThursday · 28/09/2025 11:31

My observation is that one reason H is paranoid is because he assumes that what he does/thinks/says must also be what everyone else does/thinks/says.

So when he put leaks out to try and make out there's a rift between C and W to try and force a rift that he can get in through... therefore he assumes that anything saying the opposite is obviously BP trying to cause a rift between himself and C.

It seems to be pretty consistent.

I was just wondering what a"sliding doors" take on H&M life could look like.

As in..had they not had a tantrum about leaving and stayed in the UK for a while, perhaps buying a place in the US, what would their life be like now? Perhaps after the Queen's death KC may have softened so they could come back to the UK more frequently, perhaps for the summer and be at major functions, like Trumps visit or skiing holidays with PW & children.

All it needed was for Harry & Meghan to accept their position as not senior Royals, keep their mouths shut and support the monarchy. Unfortunately I think their ambition to achieve Hollywood royalty status blinded them.

I used to feel sorry for Harry (as I've not always made good partner choices or decisions on life so can relate) but his constant whining is just intolerable.

Pleasealexa · 28/09/2025 11:45

He could have written a book on his positive memories of his mum and his recovery from losing a parent. He could have written about his lovely relationship with PW, growing up as siblings, the lessons he received from the Queen and about his life in the army.. camaraderie, amazing training (for someone not able to go to Uni).

Things could have been so different if only he hadn't chosen a destruction path.

As usual, in Harry’s little world where accountability is a rude word and arrogance and entitlement reign supreme, it’s always and forever going to be the fault of someone else.

He really needs to change the record (nigh on impossible I’d say) or keep his mouth zipped.

He really is his own worst enemy.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 28/09/2025 12:03

I have started to think Harry creates a narrative in his head and then beleives it

Started to think, @Brightlittlecanary? Surely that was pretty obvious when he delivered his famous quote about "his truth" being just as good as objective reality?

"Truth" is something that he yammers on about a hell of a lot, except I doubt he'd even begin to recognise it

That would have been genuinely interesting,

Had they just said they wanted to step back as Senior Working Royals - that the life wasn't one they wanted. Everyone (well, vast majority) would have agreed and understood. Had they done that, not done Oprah, NF, Spotify, Spare, all the negative interviews they would still be on generally good terms with his family and the public.

Then Charles would likely have bought them a property in California, they would have kept Frogmore (& Charles would probably have bunged them another pile), and kept funding them financially. They could have popped up at some bigger family events.

They would basically have gotten pretty much what they wanted.

They ballsed up right at the beginning with the Announcement and it all went downhill from there.

He’s only only spoken to the media in response to information about the meeting being leaked. Someone who knew a photo had been handed over and that he made an offhand comment about being an official visitor or whatever. That can only be someone in the king’s household, someone who has then phoned the Sun to tell them that. To deliberately make him look bad.

This is what he has always complained about - people on the staff behaving like his and his father/brother not doing anything about it. It’s their staff they employ! I think he has a legitimate right to be angry and frustrated by that, it has happened his whole life and was a major contributing factor to his exit from royal family.

Exactly. He is responding to lies being spread in the media. He has clarified it thats the end of it. And if he wants to put the record straight thats up to him.

We have already seen some of the crap stories made up and the journalists admitting its false.

They have said they arent sending the kids to a school in the UK ...yet posters here still harping on about it.

I bet Harry realises this himself now he’s had years and plenty of time twiddling his thumbs to reflect on what might have been had he not had a toddler tantrum and stormed off on his so called freedom flight, hence the doubling down of the my conscious is clear narrative, he has to keep lying to himself otherwise he will probably drive himself to madness, he is clearly losing it now his big return plans have been scuppered so loudly and clearly by the Palace, hence another ridiculous clap back that the men in grey suits are out to get him, god knows what meltdown we will witness when William ascends the throne when he will really and truly be finished and the door to anything royal will be locked and bolted in his face.

I do hope William does something about them in the way his father clearly can’t .

Harry was sucked into Meghan's ideas when he first met her. He wasn't thinking clearly. He didn't think ahead. He thought - yes they don't appreciate me. I will go and Prince somewhere else but .. well we all know what happened. Things carried on as before. The Sussexes had their peak prominence with blabbing about the RF but so much has come to light since . They have been a PR disaster - grief vampires, failed ventures and this all salivated over by the press. He really is a has been.

Here it is :

They really thought they were the bees knees didn't they? Looking at that again it is so disrespectful as well as so up their own arse.

I’ve said this before, but part of Harry’s problem is that he’s gone through life being given important sounding titles like CEO and founder and never had the intelligence to realise that they’re just vanity titles and don’t in any way give you the skills, experience or capability to hold a role of any significance in “real life.”

combine that with his vast ego and sense of importance and its small wonder that he lapped up Meghan’s claims that they would be global superstars and billionaire philanthropists - he really believed his own hype, and he clearly still does.

Letmeoutodhere · 28/09/2025 20:05

Reading the Andrew book at the moment and it’s so clear how unfitted for normal life the Royals are. They really have no concept of what it’s like to a normal person, having to get proper qualifications and go to University because you actually need a job to live. What it’s like not to have your every wish catered for, paid for, magically appearing because someone else has facilitated it. Just why we have this dinosaur system still in place is beyond me. There is just no good reason to keep them and the system in place.
Harry is a product of his upbringing.

NormaMajors1992coat · 28/09/2025 20:10

All that stuff the other day about how the media likes to pretend he’s unpopular but he knows it’s not true 🤦‍♀️

(Not sure how he explains the polling data, presumably that’s an establishment stitch up or something.)

EmpressSisi · 28/09/2025 21:04

It’s funny, isn’t it? Harry loves to rage against the “men in grey suits,” but they were the ones who built up that cheeky, Jack-the-lad image that made him one of the most popular royals in the first place.

Then Meghan comes along, and suddenly he’s decided they were the villains all along and he’s their poor victim…and, of course, his ratings plummet spectacularly. The MIGS did a brilliant job creating that laid-back, cheeky prince persona, when in reality he’s just a sulking, bitter, miserable bugger! But now it’s the MIGS who are sabotaging his reputation and relationship with his father 🤣

NormaMajors1992coat · 28/09/2025 21:07

Delulu, as I believe the young people say 🤪

Honish · 28/09/2025 21:35

I think he always had limited faculties and is in a bad way mentally, has been for a long time. Their whole life is baffling. They quite remind me of someone like Amy Winehouse in a way. Obviously without the talent but in the sense of the inevitability of a continuing downhill trajectory and not being able to enjoy the trappings of success because of being emotionally damaged and mentally unstable. AW had a certain charisma and endearing charm though, whereas those two lack any kind of likeable qualities and have a toe-curling awkwardness that is oddly fascinating as well as excruciating.

StartupRepair · 28/09/2025 22:00

I did wonder if the photo he gave the King was a giant signed studio photo of Meaghan because she is so 'amazing'.

bluegreygreen · 28/09/2025 22:29

This feels like it's getting a bit much now.

Anyone else missing the good old days of 'Never explain'?

Yes they are turning themselves into a soap opera. I am here for it all though.

If it’s true. Given that Charles would be desperate to get Andrew and Sarah’s many disgraces off the front page (it’s not reflecting well on King Charles or his mother), I think it’s likely that Charles and his grey suits leaked about what happened at the father & son meetup first.

The battles of the Royals continue. As they always have. The Royal Soap Opera is, as ever, to be continued.
