I think he's going cap in hand to ask for money. I really hope he's not got the nerve to ask to come back!

From the article is hard to guess who leaked but I do wonder about the timing. There have been reports in the press about William and Charles spending 3 days together at Balmoral, which is apparently an annual event. I'd never heard of it before this year so I'm wondering if it was publicised to counter the Harry driving a wedge narrative.

It is hard enough to heal family rifts without having to navigate the press either printing leaks or making up stories and sources. I still hope there can be family reconciliation but I have never thought that half in half out would become a possibility. That decision was taken by the last, the current and the next monarch so I don't see a lot of wiggle room, even assuming that is what Harry wants which I'm not sure it is.

Good point about the Christmas speech . But if KC displays it , will it be in the right place ? ie in front of the Wales DC ? If he doesn’t display it there will be complaints. But if the children’s faces are seen , is KC putting A and L’s lives in danger ?

If the photo appears it will generate pages and pages of comment and click bait articles. I hope the King’s advisers have the sense to see this and persuade the King (who we know doesn’t like to share attention) that it will completely overshadow his Christmas message.

MrsFinkelstein · 27/09/2025 09:32

If it's Harry's plan to have the photo displayed for the Christmas speech, then he should have watched the previous 2.

In both - wasn't the King standing for the entirety and no personal items visible? Just Christmas trees in the background?

MrsFinkelstein · 27/09/2025 09:33

Interesting article in the DM - Rebecca English's take. For all she's a DM journo, I generally find her well informed, not gossipy and very fair.

Is Harry actually saying that he doesn't send photos to his father like any ordinary person would do? He literally hasn't sent any prior photos?
The presentation of a photo of his children has to be some big demonstration and needs to be reported in the press. What a wally!

I don’t and will never accept people tearing down two people and practically applauding as they left their country and then writing posts saying they were not welcome back.

Meanwhile declaring that Kate must be called Catherine, William is hard working and other such nonsense.

They are all the same. And they need H back if they want to continue playing the game of being ‘royal’ because Charlie looks sicker in every photo, Andrew likes very young girls, his ex wife likes being friends with paedos, and the rest of the ‘workers’ in that family are well into old age.

Quote from @Itstwelveoclocksomewhere
This shows the brainwashing has worked.

And yet it's pretty clear that you are happy to accept tearing down - or at least trying to - those who don't agree with you. You're not only ignorant of how the RF works, but rude.

So glad I'm not the only one who picked up on this, MrsF, and it seemed quite sensible of him for once, avoiding the carry-on over who was shown and who wasn't

If there's any truth in the latest batch of "leaks" I'd wonder why Harry would expect anything but formality (and preferably a third person present as witness)
Does he honestly imagine his behaviour would warrant anything else? Confused

CutiePieOk · 27/09/2025 11:33

I'm glad the palace have given this message. Let's stop any nonsense of them thinking they are back in.

prelovedusername · 27/09/2025 07:58

I think it’s a palace leak but not a sanctioned one. It would defeat the purpose of the Montecito PR blitz to admit the meeting was anything other than warm and welcoming.

My guess is the photo Harry gave Charles is intended to be added to the family collection in the King’s Christmas Speech. I hope Charles isn’t taken in by this act of manipulation but I wouldn’t be surprised to see it on the side table. As one of the comments wryly put it, we’ll be able to spot it by the hearts over the kids’ faces.

or he could have just given his dad a photo, but the fans are desperate for gosssip.

In addition, for some years now, the monarch has nearly always only mentioned and shown the working royals in the speech. Which makes sense because they are speaking as monarch not parent.

My2cents1975 · 27/09/2025 12:48

Still waiting for those who claimed that the Wales are HIHO to provide links to commercial activities by either W or C.

LaMarschallin · 27/09/2025 12:51

It's very weird to announce you're giving your parent a picture of your children, isn't it?
It's the most normal thing in the world.
Charles is hardly likely to flog a photo of the cute little Sussex infants to the press.

@MrsLeonFarrell The reason why the press may have thought it was interesting enough to print this year could be precisely because of the "there is a wedge between them" leaks. It doesn't mean that someone has deliberately leaked it for a reason.

Because "W always spends 3 days with C and is doing it as normal" isn't interesting really unless you preset it with "W and C aren't really on speaking terms." Then it becomes interesting.
In the same way, if H had met up with C 2x3 times a year for a short meeting, then the one this year wouldn't have been interesting enough for the press to comment.

That's true, the rumour, which i don't believe btw, does set up the reverse story to increase clicks.

It just demonstrates how utterly deluded he is doesn't it?

Agreed. It is the usual tumbleweed when asked to support their claims...

What a weird clapback from Harry.

which reports is he claiming are false - presumably just the most recent one of the “formal” meeting with the King, not the previous one (from his camp) of the hugs and tears reunion?

Why the need to “correct” the claim about the picture and saying it didn’t have he and Meghan in it - does that matter in any way?!

Also in what way would this sabotage the reconciliation between him and his father? It doesn’t make sense to me

Everyonesawher · 27/09/2025 16:03

That’s amusing ….. so for a few weeks now we have had media rumours that there is a sinister plot to suggest a rift between KC3 and PW (could only be PH?) and now PH says there is a sinister plot to sabotage his reconciliation with KC3 (could only be PW?)…..

So much entertainment. Why did PH feel the need to say the photo was not of him and MM - so must be of A&L - unless it’s the dead dog or the chickens…

If he's so desperate to reconcile with Charles, then why not meet with him on the down low? We all know royals can manage to do things quietly when they want. He could easily fly in 1st class and be whisked off the plane directly to any number of secured royal estates. Then there would be nothing to 'sabotage'.

But instead he chooses to rock up at the public entrance to Clarence House, in the heart of London, with photographers camped outside. You'd almost think he wanted the eevil 'British media' to know all about the meeting.

Mylovelygreendress · 27/09/2025 16:18

I thought he agreed not to discuss the meeting ?

Treeleaf11 · 27/09/2025 16:22

Oh dear. What a complete mess he's made of this reconciliation.
